Thank you for purchasing a Taylor digital weather station. This weather instrument is an example of superior design and craftsmanship. Please read the instructions thoroughly to ensure that you have the full benefit of all the unit’s features. Keep these instructions handy for future reference.

BATTERY INSTALLATION AND INITIAL SETUP

The Digital Mood Light Weather Station base unit operates on (2)  1.5v AAA batteries (not included). The battery compartment is located on the back of the Weather Station base unit. Insert 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment according to the “+” and “-“ polarity symbols. Replace the battery compartment cover. When the batteries are installed, the icons on the LCD display will briefly light up for 3 seconds, beep, and detect indoor temperature and humidity.
Insert the adapter DC plug into the power socket on the back of the charging plate. Plug the AC adapter into an electrical wall socket. The charging plate will briefly light up.

NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nicad, ni-me, etc.) batteries.
WARNING: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. As with all small items, do not let children handle batteries. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
PRECAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for a long period of time.

Place the base station onto the designated position on the charging plate. The Weather Station will be powered from the DC terminal of the charging plate.

WARNING: Do not allow metal and other conductive objects to contact two power supply terminals (5) at the same time. There is a magnetic field in the DC terminal supply area (6) of the charging plate. Do not put the magnetic stripe of a card (credit card, telephone card, bank card, boarding card, etc.) on it.
CLOCK SETTING
Press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds and the 12/24Hr starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired time format.
NOTE : When choosing 12hr format, if “PM” is displayed before the hour, this indicates the hour is post meridiem.

  • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the hour display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct hour.
  • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the minute’s display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct minute.
  • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the date format display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select Date/Month or Month/Date.
  • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the year display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct year.
  • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the month display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct month.
  • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the date display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct date.
  • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the languages selection for the weekday display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired language. Press MODE to confirm and end-setting procedures.

NOTE: Press and hold the UP or DOWN button to quickly scroll through selection options. After 20 seconds without pressing any button, the clock switches automatically from set mode to normal mode.

SETTING DAILY ALARMS

Move the ALARM switch to the ON position and the LCD displays the icon. Move the ALARM switch to the OFF position and the disappears. While in set mode, press MODE once and the time will switch to the alarm time display for 5 seconds. Within these 5 seconds, press and hold MODE for 2 seconds until the hour of the alarm
time starts to flash. Press UP or DOWN to set the desired hour. Press MODE to confirm your setting and the minutes of the alarm time display starts to flash. Press UP or DOWN to set the desired minute. Press MODE to confirm and end-setting procedures.
NOTE: After 20 seconds without pressing any buttons, the clock automatically switches from alarm setting mode to normal clock mode. The alarm will sound for 2 minutes if it is not deactivated by pressing any buttons. In this event, the alarm will be repeated automatically after 24 hours. While the alarm is ringing, press any button except SNOOZE to stop the alarm. It is not necessary to reactivate the alarm. It automatically sets to the preset alarm time. While the alarm is ringing press SNOOZE to go into snooze mode.
The alarm will sound again in 8 minutes.

°F |°C TEMPERATURE DISPLAYS

The temperature is displayed either in °F / °C, the weather station defaults to Celsius. Press the UP button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

BACKLIGHT MODE SETTINGS

When the charging plate is powered by the adapter and the base unit is correctly positioned into the DC terminal power supply, the backlight will always be on. Press the BACKLIGHT button to adjust the 3 backlight modes:

  • C1: Gradient of different colors at opposite ends of the base unit
  • C2: Same color gradient across the base unit
  • C3: Dark mode for sleeping
    When the base unit is removed from the charging plate and
    is only powered by battery, press BACKLIGHT once and the
    backlight will be powered on for 8 seconds.

MOOD LIGHT MODE

Press and hold the MOOD LIGHT button on the charging plate for 2 seconds to turn on the mood light and enter mode A.

  • While in mode A, press the MOOD LIGHT button again to enter mode B.
  • While in mode B, press the MOOD LIGHT button again to enter mode C.
  • While in mode C, press the MOOD LIGHT button again to hit OFF the mood light mode.
    NOTE: In mode B, press and hold the MOOD LIGHT button for 1 second to lock in the current color and stop the gradual change. Press and hold the MOOD LIGHT button for 1 second again to restore the gradual change. In mode C, press and hold the MOONLIGHT button for 1 second to switch to another color fade.

WIRELESS CHARGING

Place a mobile device (must support QI standard) on the antiskid pad in the middle of the charging plate. The wireless charging status indicator will be red when charging normally and green when fully charged. Please note only some Samsung mobile devices currently support this feature. The indicator light flashes red when metal or similar items are detected.
NOTE:
A mobile device can be also be charged using a USB cord (not included). The USB socket is located on the back of the charging plate. Two mobile devices may be charged simultaneously: one device on the charging plate and one device using the USB cord.

PRECAUTIONS

  1. The weather forecaster is intended for indoor use only. It is not sealed against moisture and could be damaged if used outdoors. Do not immerse it in water or allow snow
    to accumulate on it. Do not use this product near water sources and do not place this product in a damp place.

  2. Do not leave it outdoors. Otherwise, permanent damage to the unit’s internal circuits may occur.

  3. Do not immerse in water. If you spill liquid on the base station or charging plate, dry immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.

  4. Do not clean the units with abrasive or corrosive materials. This may scratch plastic parts and corrode electronic circuits.

  5. Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature, or humidity. This may result in malfunction, shorter electronic life span, damaged batteries, or distorted
    parts.

  6. Do not tamper with the units’ internal components. Doing so will invalidate the warranty on this product and may cause damage. The units contain no user-serviceable parts.

  7. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-me, etc.) batteries. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. Batteries may
    explode or leak. Remove the batteries/ charger if the units will not be used for a long period of time.

  8. Never dispose of empty batteries and rechargeable batteries in household waste. As a consumer, you are legally required to take them to your retail store or to an appropriate collection site depending on national or local regulations in order to protect the environment. The symbols for the heavy metals contained are Cd=cadmium, Hg = mercury; Pb=lead. This instrument is labeled in accordance with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. Directive (WEEE).
    PRECAUTIONS (CONT.)

  9. Please do not dispose of this instrument in household waste. The user is obligated to take end-of-life devices to a designated collection point for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment, in order to ensure environmentally-compatible disposal.

  10. This product is for measuring weather temperatures only. DO NOT PLACE UNITS INTO OVENS, GRILLS, FREEZERS, or MICROWAVE OVENS.

  11.  Keep out of direct sunlight and away from sources of heat.

  12. Due to improper use of product damage, odor, smoke, and other phenomena, please immediately terminate use and send to professional maintenance personnel.

  13. Do not place the product in a strong electromagnetic wave, strong static electricity, and easy condensation.

  14. Do not place the magnetic stripe card (credit card, telephone card, bank card, boarding card, etc.) near the product, otherwise, it will be damaged by the magnetic field.

  15. If you use a wireless charger in an area with weak network signals, your mobile device may not be able to receive the network.

  16. Do not place metal, magnet, magnetic stripe card, and other foreign matters between the mobile device and the wireless charger, otherwise, the mobile device will not
    charge normally or be damaged due to overheating.

  17. If the mobile device has a thick protective case, the wireless charging may not work properly. If the cover is thick, remove it and then put the mobile device on the
    wireless charger for charging

This product is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship (excluding batteries and adapters) for one (1) year from the date of original purchase for the original purchaser. It does not cover damages or wears resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, commercial use, or unauthorized adjustment and/or repair. Should this product require service (or replacement at our option) while under warranty, do not return to the retailer? Please pack the item carefully and return it prepaid, along with store receipt showing date of purchase and a note explaining the reason for return to:
