Download TaoTronics App
TaoTronics App allows you to control your Smart Pet Feeder via your smart
devices. Search and download it on the Apple App Store or Google Play.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- For indoor use only. Do not use it in direct sunlight environments such as on a balcony.
- Do not drop items other than pet food into the storage tank, otherwise, there might be risks of causing unit exceptions or mistakenly eaten by pets.
- To prevent from falling, it is recommended to place the feeder in a corner or against a wall.
- Cover or hide the power cord with care to prevent pets from biting the cord and causing dangers such as electric shock.
- Do not disassemble or modify the device by yourself.
- Always use dry food instead of wet food. Do not use pet food with special shapes, holes, or diameters over 10mm.
- The shape and density of pet food will affect the actual capacity of the storage tank.
- The actual grams of per serving food varies due to different food densities.
- If the product is powered by batteries, the standby time of the battery can be up to 30 days. Install batteries in advance if you are leaving for a long time.

USING YOUR PET FEEDER
Before installation and use, do not put any food in the storage tank.
Installation & Feeding

Plug in the supplied USB-C cable. Optionally, install four AA batteries as backup power.

Place the feeder on a level surface, and install the base.

Connect to any 5V/1A USB port with the included cable.

Open the storage tank lid, then put pet food into the tank.

Open the desiccant cover, place the desiccant and close the cover. Then put back the lid securely.

Feed your pet by triple-pressing the button or as scheduled in the TaoTronics App.
Turntable Removal & Installation
Hold the turntable and take it out vertically.
App Connection
Ensure your Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz, this feeder does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.

After installing the App, sign up and log in to your TaoTronics account.

Connect the USB cable to any USB port to power on the feeder.

Select “Add Device” in the Home tab, then scan for your feeder via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
Tips: Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled.

When a smart feeder appears on the page, tap Next.

Enter Wi-Fi name & password, tap Next and the feeder is connecting with your App. Tap Done to complete.

Note:
- When there’s insufficient food inside, the indicator lights up solid orange and sends notifications via the app to remind you of adding food.
- The indicator light can be turned off by continuously pressing the control button 5 times, in case the light affects your sleep.
Setting Schedule

After connected with the feeder, tap the device name to enter settings.

Tap “ + ” in “Daily feeding plan” to add feeding schedules.

Select feeding serves (10-15g per serve, 8 serves max) and feeding time, tap Save.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Plate, Base & Turntable
Rinse in water and dry completely before putting back, or the food will get
damp.
Use moderate detergent for easy cleaning if necessary.
Housing & Surface
Wipe with a soft and damp cloth, then dry completely.
Use moderate detergent for easy cleaning if necessary.
Do not immerse the housing in water or rinse under tap water.
Maintenance
- Place or store the feeder in a shady place, avoid direct sunlight or heat source.
- Check the battery compartment and the turntable periodically for any abnormalities.
- Take out the remaining food, all batteries and unplug the USB cable when not in use for a long time.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q: Network configuration timeout/failure.
A:
- Check if the Wi-Fi password entered is incorrect. Enter the correct password.
- Check if it is connected to a 5GHz network instead of 2.4GHz. Only 2.4GHz is supported.
- Check if the USB cable is plugged in securely or damaged by inspecting the indicator status.
- Connect again as instructed in “App Connection”. Move the feeder close to the router.
Check if the network status of the feeder is corresponding to that of the APP.
Q: Food is not fed as scheduled.
A:
- Check if the turntable inside is installed properly.
- Check if the food is stuck (red indicator)
- Pour out the food and take out the turntable, press the button to see if the motor turns. If the motor does not turn, contact Customer Support for service.
- If the feeder is only powered by batteries, the connection with App will be lost and the feeding plan in TaoTronics App cannot be synced.
Q: Food is not fed when pressing the button 3 times.
A:
- Press the button and see if the button bounces, if no bounces, the button is malfunctioning.
- If the indicator light is off, check the cable and power on the feeder.
- If the indicator light is on, press the button 3 times within 5 seconds.
Q: Food is not fed via the app manually.
A:
- Check if the indicator is on and solid, you cannot feed via app manually if the feeder has lost the network connection.
- Take out the food and check if the motor works normally.
- Check if the turntable is installed properly and put it in place.
Q: Abnormal food feeding.
A:
- Check if the turntable is installed properly and put it in place.
- Delete all feeding plans and set again.
- Hold the button for 10s until a beep is heard, the feeder will restore to factory settings.
- If the food is fed continuously, contact Customer Support for service.
Q: Control on another mobile phone.
A: Select the icon at the upper right corner, then share the feeder to the
TaoTronics account logging in to another mobile.
Q: Do I need to configure the network again after the power is cut off?
A: No. It will connect to the network automatically after the power recovers.
Q: Can the feeder output food when only powered by backup batteries?
A: Yes, if you set up the feeding plans in advance. If you didn’t, you need to
plug the cable to connect to the network and set up a feeding plan first.
Q: What if the router/network is changed?
A: Hold the button for 10s or unbind the device on TaoTronics App, then
connect the feeder as instructed in “App Connection”.
Q: How long is the battery life when only powered by the backup batteries?
A: The power consumption is below 5mAh when powered by batteries. The battery
life varies from 15 to 30 days, based on the actual battery capacity.
Warranty
This product is covered with TaoTronics product and labor warranty for 12 months from the date of its original purchase. If any problems occur, please contact the TaoTronics Customer Care Centre via the contact information listed in this User Manual.
We can only provide after-sales service for products that are sold by TaoTronics or TaoTronics authorized retailers and distributors. If you have purchased your unit from a different place, please contact your seller for return and warranty issues.
