PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USE
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN MIND:

Do not cover or block any ventilation openings. When placing the device on a shelf, leave 5 cm (2”) free space around the whole device.

Install in accordance with the supplied user manual.

Keep the device away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, candles, and other heat-generating products or naked flame. The device can only be used in moderate climates. Extremely cold or warm environments should be avoided. Working temperature between 0° and 35°C.
-
Avoid using the device near strong magnetic fields.
-
Electrostatic discharge can disturb the normal usage of this device. If so, simply reset and restart the device following the instruction manual. During file transmission, please handle with care and operate in a static-free environment.

Warning! Never insert an object into the product through the vents or openings. High voltage flows through the product and inserting an object can cause electric shock and/or short circuit internal parts. For the same reason, do not spill water or liquid on the product.

Do not use in wet or moist areas such as bathrooms, steamy kitchens or near swimming pools.
-
The device shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and make sure that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, are placed on or near the apparatus.

Do not use this device when condensation may occur. When the unit is used in a warm wet room with damp, water droplets or condensation may occur inside the unit and the unit may not function properly; let the unit stand in power OFF for 1 or 2 hours before turning on the power: the unit should be dry before getting any power.

Although this device is manufactured with the utmost care and checked several times before leaving the factory, it is still possible that problems may occur, as with all electrical appliances. If you notice smoke, an excessive build-up of heat or any other unexpected phenomena, you should disconnect the plug from the main power socket immediately.

This device must operate on a power source as specified on the specification label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply used in your home, consult your dealer or local power company.

Keep away from animals. Some animals enjoy biting on power cords.

To clean the device, use a soft dry cloth. Do not use solvents or petrol-based fluids. To remove severe stains, you may use a damp cloth with diluted detergent.

The supplier is not responsible for damage or lost data caused by malfunction, misuse, modification of the device or battery replacement.

Do not interrupt the connection when the device is formatting or transferring files. Otherwise, data may be corrupted or lost.

If the unit has a USB playback function, the USB memory stick should be plugged into the unit directly. Don’t use a USB extension cable because it can cause interference resulting in failure of data.

The rating label has been marked on the bottom or back panel of the device.

This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or a lack of experience and knowledge unless they’re under supervision or have received instructions about the correct use of the device by the person who is responsible for their safety.

This product is intended for nonprofessional use only and not for commercial or industrial use.

Make sure the unit is adjusted to a stable position. Damage caused by using this product in an unstable position vibrations or shocks or by failure to follow any other warning or precaution contained within this user manual will not be covered by warranty.

Never remove the casing of this device.

Never place this device on other electrical equipment.

Do not allow children access to plastic bags.

Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the device has been damaged in any way, such as the power supply cord or the plug, when the liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the device, when the device has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Long exposure to loud sounds from personal music players may lead to temporary or permanent hearing loss.

If the product is delivered with a power cable or AC power adaptor:
• If any trouble occurs, disconnect the AC power cord and refer servicing to qualified personnel.
• Don’t step on or pinch the power adaptor. Be very careful, particularly near the plugs and the cable’s exit point. Do not place heavy items on the power adaptor, which may damage it. Keep the entire device out of children’s reach! When playing with the power cable, they can seriously injure themselves.
• Unplug this device during lightning storms or when unused for a long period.
• The socket-outlet must be installed near the equipment and must be easily accessible.
• Do not overload ac outlets or extension cords. Overloading can cause fire or electric shock.
• Devices with class 1 construction should be connected to a main socket outlet with a protective earthed connection.
• Devices with class 2 construction do not require an earthed connection.
• Always hold the plug when pulling it out of the main supply socket. Do not pull the power cord. This can cause a short circuit.
• Do not use a damaged power cord or plug or a loose outlet. Doing so may result in fire or electric shock. -
If the product contains or is delivered with a remote control containing coin/cell batteries:
Warning:
• “Do not ingest battery, Chemical Burn Hazard” or equivalent working.
• [The remote control supplied with] This product contains a coin/button cell battery. If the battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
• Keep new and used batteries away from children.
• If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
• If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention. -
Caution about the use of Batteries:
• Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
• Battery cannot be subjected to high or low extreme temperatures, low air pressure at high altitude during use, storage or transportation.
• Replacement of a battery with an incorrect type that can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
• Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion.
• Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment can result in an explosion or that leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
• A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
INSTALLATION
- Unpack all parts and remove protective material.
- Do not connect the unit to the mains before checking the mains voltage and before all other connections have been made.

Getting started
BATTERY INSTALLATION (REMOTE CONTROL)
- Connect the DC mains plug to the DC mains input socket on the rear of the unit.
- Connect the plug to a mains outlet and switch on.
Battery installation (Batteries not included):
- Press the tab on the battery door and lift it off.
- Install two (2) x AAA size batteries into the battery compartment as the figure on right and the polarity markings, inside the battery compartment.
- Replace the battery door.
Battery Precautions:
Follow these precautions when using a battery in this device:
- Use only the size and type of battery specified.
- Beware to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the battery compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
- Don’t throw batteries into a fire. They may explode or leak.
- Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
- Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
- If the batteries in the device are consumed or the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove them.
- Do not try to recharge the battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture.
The packaging box contains the following items
SYSTEM SETTINGS
Standby & power on mode

Press and hold the POWER/MODE button to put the system into ON or STANDBY mode.
The date and time are displayed during standby. -
When in standby mode press the POWER/MODE to power on.
Set time and date
Should you need to set the time & date manually follow the below steps.
- Press and hold the ‘Menu’ button (In Bluetooth/AUX-in mode, you only need to press the MENU button to enter the MENU settings), the screen will appear as below.
- Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to highlight the desired time setup, then press the OK knob on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control to continue.
- Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to set the digit to the correct date/time, then press the OK knob on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control to confirm.
Set Alarms
Should you need to set the Alarms manually follow the below steps.

Press and hold the ‘Menu’ button (In Bluetooth/AUX-in mode, you only need to press the MENU button to enter the MENU settings), the screen will appear as below.

Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to highlight the desired Alarm setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control to continue.

Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to highlight the desired Alarm1 setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control to set Alarm1.

Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to highlight the desired Enable setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control to set Alarm mode(OFF, Daily, Once, Weekdays, Weekends)

Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to highlight the desired time setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control to set Alarm time, Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to set the digit to the correct time, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to confirm.

Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to highlight the desired Mode setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to set source of the Alarm, turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to choose DAB/FM/Buzzer, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to confirm.

Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to highlight the desired Preset setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to set source of the DAB and FM, turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to choose DAB/FM station. Then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to confirm.

Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to highlight the desired Volume setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to set alarm volume, turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to adjusting volume, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to confirm.

Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to highlight the desired saved setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to save.
Set sleep time
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
highlight the desired Sleep setup, then press the OK button on the unit or
press the OK button on the remote control to set sleep time, turn the
‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to
choose 15/30/45/60/90. Then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK
button on the remote control to confirm.
Set EQ
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
highlight the desired EQ setup, then press the OK button on the unit or press
the OK button on remote control to set EQ mode. Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on
the unit or press the button on remote control to choose
NORMAL/CLASSIC/ROCK/POP/JAZZ/DANCE/MANUAL, then press the OK button on the
unit or press the OK button on remote control to confirm.
Set Backlight
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
highlight the desired Backlight setup, then press the OK button on the unit or
press the OK button on remote control to set the backlight. Turn the
‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control
adjusting the backlight, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK
button on remote control to confirm.
Factory reset
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
highlight the desired Factory reset setup, then press the OK button on the
unit or press the OK button on remote control to set the Factory reset. Turn
the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
choose the YES or NO, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK
button on remote control to confirm.
Software version
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
highlight the desired software version, then press the OK button on the unit
or press the OK button on remote control to check the software version.
Set Language
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
highlight the desired Language setup, then press the OK button on the unit or
press the OK button on remote control to set language. Turn the ‘Prev/Next’
knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to choose language,
then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control
to confirm.
Adjusting volume
Turn the Volume knob or V-/V+ button on the remote control to adjust volume.
DAB Mode
Press the Power I Mode button to turn the radio on.
Note: If this is the first time you have turned the radio on it will
automatically search for all available DAB radio stations Selecting DAB
mode
If you are in another mode, press the Power I Mode button to enter the mode
icon, this will be shown in the LCD display. Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the
unit or press the button on remote control to choose the DAB icon, or press
the mode button on the remote control, then press the OK button on the unit or
press the OK button on remote control to confirm.
Finding a DAB station
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote
control to the selected station.
Storing DAB station presets
It is possible to store up to 10 of your favorite DAB stations. This will
enable you to access your favorite stations quickly & easily.
- To store a preset, you must first be listening to the station that you would like to save, press and hold the PRESET button for 1 second. The LCD will then show “Preset”
- Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to choose the preset number from 1-10 you wish to use, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to store the preset.
Recalling DAB station presets
- You can recall the preset station’s list by pressing the PRESET button or button on the remote control.
- Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to select the preset station, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control to activate.
NOTE: If you choose a preset that hasn’t been allocated a station, then “Preset Empty” will be displayed.
DAB quick scan
Press the Scan button on the unit or scan button on the remote control to
quickly scan.
DAB manual tuning
You can use this option to manually tune DAB radio stations.
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
highlight the desired Manual tuning setup, then press the OK button on the
unit or press the OK button on remote control to select the DAB frequency.
Then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on remote control
to confirm.
Prune station
When your radio has performed multiple scans in different regions, you may
find that you have stored stations that you can no longer receive. This
function automatically removes any stations that you cannot listen to.
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote
control to highlight the desired Prune station setup, then press the OK button
on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control to select the YES or
NO. Then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on the remote
control to confirm.
DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
This causes the radio to reduce the dynamic range of the audio signal. The
purpose of this it to adapt the dynamic range of the audio signal when
listening in a noisy environment.
Note: This feature is not available on all DAB stations.
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote
control to highlight the desired DRC setup, then press the OK button on the
unit or press the OK button on remote control to select the Off/Low/High. Then
press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control
to confirm.
Station list
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control
to highlight the desired Station list setup, then press the OK button on the
unit or press the OK button on remote control to enter the DAB station list.
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
select the DAB station, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK
button on remote control to confirm.
Full scan
Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on remote control to
highlight the desired Full Scan setup, then press the OK button on the unit or
press the OK button on remote control to confirm.
FM Mode
Selecting FM mode
If you are in another mode, press the Power I Mode button to enter the mode
icon, this will be shown in the LCD display. Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the
unit or press the button on the remote control to choose the FM icon, or press
the mode button on the remote control, then press the OK button on the unit or
press the OK button on the remote control to confirm.
Storing FM station presets

- You can recall the preset station’s list by pressing the PRESET button or pressing the button on the remote control.
- Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the unit or press the button on the remote control to select the preset station, then press the OK button on the unit or press the OK button on the remote control to activate.

FM Scan
- Press and hold either the buttons on the unit or on the remote control to scan up or down the frequency range. When a station is found the scan will stop and play the located station.
- You can fine-tune the frequency by pressing either the Prev or Next buttons or pressing on the remote control to advance 0.05 MHz with each press.
- Press the scan button on the unit or scan button on the remote control to scan the frequency range, when a station is found the scan will stop and play the located station.
BT Mode
Selecting Bluetooth mode
If you are in another mode, press the Power I Mode button to enter the mode
icon, this will be shown in the LCD display. Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the
unit or press the mode button on the remote control to choose the Bluetooth
mode, then press the OK button on the unit to confirm.
Make sure that no other Bluetooth device is connected to the radio. “No
Connection”will appear on the display.
Activate Bluetooth mode on the device that you want to connect. Look for the
radio on the list of detected devices on the Bluetooth device (refer to the
instruction manual of the device). Once the devices have found each other, the
radio will appear as “Lenco DAR-061” on the Bluetooth device.
Select Lenco DAR-061 from the list. If you are required to enter a PIN code,
enter 0000 (four zeros). Certain devices may also require you to approve the
connection.
Once the connection has been successful, “Connected” will appear on the
display of the radio.
Start playback on your Bluetooth device.
Press or button on the unit and remote control to skip between tracks on the
device.
Press the button on the unit and remote control to pause or play.
CD Mode
Selecting CD mode
If you are in another mode, press the Power I Mode button to enter the mode
icon, this will be shown in the LCD display. Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the
unit or press the mode button on the remote control to choose the CD mode,
then press the OK button on the unit to confirm.
- Open the CD door by pressing the button on the unit or Eject on the remote control.
- Insert a CD disc into the CD compartment with the label side up.
- Close the CD door by pressing the button on the unit or Eject on the remote control.
PLAY/PAUSE operation
1. Press the button on the unit and remote control to start play
2. Press the button on the unit and remote control during playback to pause
temporarily.
3. Press the button on the unit and remote control again to resume playback
from the point playback is interrupted.
or operation
- Press the button on the unit and remote control to skip backward or forward to the desired track.
- Press and hold the button on the unit and remote control to search backward or forward to the desired point of the playback or track.
Press the button to stop playing.
Repeat operation
- Press the Rep. button on the remote control to choose Repeat or repeat all etc.
- Repeat 1 to repeat the current track(song). “ ” will display.
Repeat all to repeat all tracks(full CD). “ ” will be displayed.
Repeat Album (in the MP3 disc) to repeat the whole Album. “ ” will be
displayed.
Random to shuffle all tracks and play them in random order. “ ”will be
displayed.
Intro to play the first 10 seconds of every track.
PROGRAMMING TRACKS
In CD/MP3 mode, press the button to stop, press the Prog button on the remote
control to start the memory function.
In CD disc: “P01” and 001 will display, press or select the track you want to
memory.
Press Prog button on the remote control to confirm. Repeat this operation can
memorize 99 tracks.
Press the button to start playing the tracks in order programmed. Press the
button twice to cancel memorized tracks.
Aux Mode
Selecting Aux-in mode
If you are in another mode, press the Power I Mode button to enter the mode
icon, this will be shown in the LCD display. Turn the ‘Prev/Next’ knob on the
unit or press the mode button on the remote control to choose the AUX IN, then
press the OK button on the unit to confirm.
- Use a standard 3.5 mm stereo connector (not included) to connect the external device to the“AUX-IN “jack on the back panel of the unit.
