Installing Tactal on your HMD

Please follow the instructions below to install Tactal on your HMD correctly for receiving the best haptic feedback.

  1. Remove the cover inside the HMD unit and attach the Tactal to the cushioned area.

    Facial Interface from VR Cover (www.vrcover.com) is required for Valve Index, Oculus Quest1, Quest2, and Rift. Guide video is available at www.youtube.com/bhaptics

  2. STEP Attach the main controller to the left or the front of the HMD using the included Velcro Stickers.

How to Use

Charging

Fully charge the device before using your Tactal for the first time. You can use a charging cable included in the package to charge the device. It takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge the device using 0.2A charging current. When fully charged, the LED indicator will turn off.

Power On

Click the power button, then the LED indicator will blink blue as it waits for pairing.

Power Off
A long press for 3 sec of the power button will turn off the device.

How to play

PC / PC VR
  1. Install Bluetooth Driver
    (1) Insert the provided dongle into a USB port on your Windows PC. The driver will be automatically installed.
    (2) If you have previously installed other Bluetooth drivers, open [Device Manager] > [Bluetooth] on Windows, and disable all previously installed Bluetooth drivers except Generic Bluetooth Radio’,Bluetooth Enumerator’, Bluetooth LE enumerator.’ Do NOT try pairing on Windows Settings. You must pair the device viabHaptics Player.’

  2. Install and run bHaptics Player

Play Content with Native Support
Games with native support and mod support are embedded with optimized haptic feedback for each in-game event. Open “bHaptics Portal” and Choose the content you want to paly.

Not all listed content supports Tactal. Please check the list of the supported devices for each game by clicking the “I” icon.
Some content requires mod tool installation. The installation guide can be found by clicking “i” icon from each game page.
When playing natively supported content, make sure Audio-to-Haptic mode is turned off

Standalone VR
  1. Pairing the Tactal with Oculus Quest Go to oculus quest system [ Settings] – [Experimental Features] – [Bluetooth Pairing] menu and click [Pair] button. Select [+ Pair new device] and pair your Tactal.
  2. Run a native supported game and enjoy

Check the natively supported content list for the Oculus Quest at www.bhaptics.com/games, and purchase and install the content from the Oculus Quest Store.

Not all listed content supports Tactal. Please check the list of the supported devices for each game before purchasing the game.

You can manage more detailed settings of the Tactal by downloading ‘bHaptics player’ from Oculus Quest App Lab
