Lock Handle Door Handle Post Spindle Wood Screws Instructions
Door Preparation
Option 1
Note: Preferred option when installing a Privacy Adaptor
Pre-latched doors often come with a drive in latch and a 50mm diameter hole. Door handles are suitable for this.
For non pre-latched doors drill a 50mm diameter hole cut out to the backset of
the latch.
Option 2
Drill out and checkout as required to fit your latch (see latch for
instructions) Drill out a 25mm diameter hole set back 60mm from door edge.
Drill out 2 x 8-10mm diameter holes horizontally either side of the first hole
as shown.
**With each set of handles you should have
**
- 2 — handles
- 1 — spindle
- 2 — posts
- 2 — tie-bolts
- 4 — wood screws
- 5 — escutcheon
**To prepare to fit off handles
**
- separate all components
- screw in posts to handle as shown.
Placing The Handle

Place handle with the posts onto the door making sure that the posts fit through the latch.

Place spindle through the latch from the other side and into the door handle.

Place tie-bolts through the other handle as shown and fit over the spindle.

Tighten tie-bolts into posts and ensure smooth action.

Screw in minimum 2 wood screws to ensure that handle does not turn. If only using 2 screws, they should be placed diagonally opposite to each other.

Fit off the escutcheon by carefully slotting it over the handle. Screw on tightly.
