Before using this device for the first time, we would like to ask you to read our operating instructions thoroughly. Please keep our operating instructions in a safe place. The Hoverboard may in this description differ from your device by shape and color. However, this does not affect the functions described.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Thank you for choosing and buying our Hoverboard Z13. It is important to us that our customers are safe in driving with our Hoverboard. Only then can you enjoy the driving pleasure free of worries. You need to know exactly how your Hoverboard works. Hence practicing is important. This is the only way will acquire safe driving skills, and to continually develop your sense of driving.

If you are using our hoverboard for the first time, please read these operating instructions carefully: always keep this manual within easy reach if any questions arise. If you are lending your hoverboard to somebody else, please provide the respective individuum with this manual please note: these operating instructions must be strictly adhered to for the correct operation of your board and your own safety. Failure to do so could result in serious injury, and your device may be damaged.

OPERATING THE DEVICE

Powering On the Scooter
Power on your scooter by pressing the Power button. The Power button is located on the backside of the scooter. The indicator lights will illuminate to indicate the power is ON.
Resetting the Scooter

  1. Put the scooter on a level surface where the wheels do not make contact with the ground.
  2. Press the Power Button for 3-5 seconds until caution light flashes.
  3. Turn OFF the scooter and turn it ON again.

When the machine is riding normally, the indicator on the right lights up green.
When the machine fails, the indicator on the left lights up red.
When the machine is charging, the indicator on the right lights up yellow.
Once the machine is fully charged, the indicator light on the charger will turn from red to green.

BLUETOOTH MUSIC
To use the music feature, you must connect the device separately using the Bluetooth function on your mobile device. Select the “HOVERBOARD” device in the Bluetooth menu. A confirmation of the connection from the hoverboard will sound.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Here you will find important information about the safety and use of our Hoverboard. This means that driving will always be great fun, without neglecting safety. To ensure that you are always on the right track and safe with our Hoverboard, we ask you to read the safety notes first.

THE EXACT USE OF THE DEVICE

  • The Hoverboard… must NOT be used on public roads.
  • It is only allowed for use on private property
  • Hoverboard …. may only be driven on level and dry ground.
  • The Hoverboard must not be used to transport any objects or animals.
  • The Hoverboard is intended for private use only.
  • The device is not designed for commercial purposes, such as rental.
  • Our Hoverboard must not be driven by boys and girls under the age of 7 years (it could be considered a toy).
  • (In principle) children and young people – if they are under 14 years of age – must always be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
  • Only people weighing more than 20 kg and less than 120 kg are allowed on our Hoverboard.
  • Modifications to the Hoverboard are not permitted. In case of any modifications, our guarantee will become void.
  • Please use our device only as described in this manual.
  • If our Hoverboard is used improperly, this can result in serious injury and

  • Therefore you should always be cautious and careful: Drive with foresight. You must at all times take into account that external factors – construction works, obstacles, and sudden changes in the environment – may affect and endanger your safety.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

If you drive our Hoverboard, this may also be hazardous. Be patient. Get to know our device by and by. This is best done by practicing frequently.

  • The max. achievable speed is 15 km/h. Should you exceed this, a warning signal will be heard.
  • Pregnant women, people with disabilities. heart disease. hypertension or limited mobility are not allowed to drive our Hoverboard.
  • You rnust not use our devi. if you have consumed alcohol or medication.
  • Make sure that you only get on our Hoverboard when the use is safe for yourself and your fellow human beings.
  • Dangers and limitations must be established beforehand.
  • If you are traveling with our device, stand with your feet on the designated area (footpads).
  • Always drive at a speed which is safe for you a. others.
  • If you are traveling in groups with others. always keep sufficient distance to avoid accidents.
  • When making a tum with the device, keep your balance: pay attention to your body’s center of gravity in order to avoid falling.
  • Very important: Never let yourself be distracted, for example by loud music on the headphones, important telephone conversations or unconcentrated
  • Please keep away from wet grounds and conditions when driving,
  • Avoid driving long distances in reverse. Do not make fuming maneuvers when you are traveling at high speed.
  • Do not use our Devi. at night, or in poor visibility conditions.
  • Avoid driving over obstacles, over cr. ked terrain, and unsafe slopes. Do not drive over the icy or snowy ground in winter.
  • If you ever detect a defect in our device, or if it fell and is damaged, please stop using it. In this case, please contact your dealer’s customer support
  • If you use our Hoverboard, you should wear appropriate nothing: Please take care of proper footwear. You must be able to move well.
  • Choose a route to train your driving practice: You must be able to safely control the device: forward, backward, turn, stop and get off again.
  • If you are still feeling uneasy when driving, you must pay particular attention to obstacles. Carefully consider if you will in fact be able to get past the obstacle.
  • Use our Hoverboard and accessories only at normal temperature conditions. Follow the instructions given when charging the battery. Observe the tempera­ture conditions.
  • Our Hoverboard weighs approx. 12.5 kg. When transporting the device, make sure it won’t fall.
  • Our Hoverboard does not have a starter and/or brake mechanism: It can only be driven by shifting the body weight.
  • Please always wear suitable protective clothing: for your size and weight: This will protect your wrist, knee, head, and elbow from injuries. We recommend using reflectors as well.
  • Please always test the exact steering setting before using our Hoverboard. Also, make sure that all screws are tightened and no external damage is found.
  • We advise beginners to train driving with friends and acquaintances or parents.
  • When getting off from the Hoverboard, please be aware that it is still coasting to a stop. This could harm people.
  • Only get off the Hoverboard in a backward direction because otherwise, it could continue driving and thus cause injuries.

NOTES ON BATTERY SAFETY

  • The battery must be protected from excessive sunlight, heat, fire, etc: It could explode if this is disregarded.
  • For more information, please read our notes on the temperature in section “Technical data of the device”.
  • If you will not use the battery for 30 days, please charge it completely.
  • Please fully charge the battery after 90 days: Otherwise, the battery could discharge itself and break. Please bear in mind that this damage is not covered by the warranty.
  • Please do not open, and not try to open the battery. Please do not touch the content. Do not touch the poles.
  • To recharge the battery, please use only the charger supplied. If you perceive a smell, or if the battery heats up, please stop the charger immediately.
  • The batteries cannot be removed or replaced. They are fixed to the device.
  • If the power of the battery drops below 15 %, stop using the device. This prevents damage to the battery and the Hoverboard. Please charge the battery immediately and fully.
  • When disposing of the installed battery, it must first be removed and then disposed of separately from the Hoverboard. Please have the batteries replaced only by qualified personnel. Please do not do this yourself. Please read again our section 5. Disposal.
  • Please do not open the housing of our Hoverboard in order to probably change the battery yourself.

NOTES ON CHARGER SAFETY

  • The battery charger must not be used by children.
  • People with restricted physical, sensory, or mental abilities must not use the If there is insufficient experience and knowledge, it must not be used. The person concerned must be supervised, and the correct handling of the equipment and the risks involved must be understood.
  • Children are not allowed to play with the charger
  • Children must not clean or service the device. If the charger cable is defec­tive, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a specialist dealer, or another qualified person. Otherwise, there is danger.
  • After use, turn off the charger and disconnect it from the power supply. Please allow it to cool down before you transport, dean, or store it.
  • It is crucial to protect electrical parts from moisture. When cleaning the appliance, or when it is in use, make sure that no liquid is dripping or flowing into the appliance. Otherwise, you may suffer an electric shock. Do not keep the charger underwater. Refer to point 4.3 Storage of the Hoverboard and
  • When you start the charging process, always ensure sufficient air supply. Gases could form here.
  • When using the charger, be sure to periodically check for damage. You can only use a defective charger again if it has been refurbished.
  • Do not use the charger if it has taken a hit or a knock: for example, when it fell or is damaged for another reason.
  • If the device is defective, do not connect a charger. Otherwise, you could suffer an electric shock.
  • Do not disassemble the charger under any circumstances. Only experts or authorized technical customer service may be instructed with the repair. If the assembly was faulty, this may cause an electric shock.
  • Do not use the charger near explosive or flammable objects. Otherwise, there is risk of explosions and fire. Before you connect the device to the power supply, you must exactly match the technical data. Please always connect the charger to the mains plug only if it is ensured that the charger is also compatible with the power supply. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.
  • Please charge the battery only in a confined space, as the charger is designed for indoor use only. Otherwise, an electric shock might occur.
  • Do not use the charger for other devices. Our charger is intended solely for charging the battery of our Hoverboard. If you use our charger in any different way, this can cause a fire. Or result in a fatal electric shock.
  • Do not cover the air vents of our charger and always keep these free and open during the charging process.
  • If you are using our charger, you should always use it vertically or horizontally.
  • Please remember that our charger and the charger port must be connected without problems and correctly You can interrupt the connection if needed
  • Always make sure that the charger port is in fact free. Wetness and dirt may damage the charger port.
  • Please do not place anything on the charger. It must not be covered, as it may become too hot. Also, do not place the charger near heat sources.
  • When you layout the power cord, always do so in such a way that nobody will stumble upon it. Also, it should always be placed in a way that damage is ruled Failure to do so may result in damage or injury.
  • When removing the charger from the power cord, do not pull the cord until the power supply is stopped. The best way to disconnect the plug is to grab it there.

OPERATING THE DEVICE

What you need to know for the optimal operation of our device, you can read here. You will get important information about how to best and easiest handle our device. Please note: For your safety and a long service life of your device, it is important that you observe these instructions at all times.

FIRST USE OF THE HOVERBOARD

  • Please slowly take our device and the accessories from the packaging.
  • Check whether the content in the package is really complete and without defects. If the contents are incomplete or have defects, do not use the device. Rather please contact your dealer immediately.
  • For the disposal of the packaging material, please observe the applicable legal regulations.
  • Please keep the packing material in case you wish to store, ship or in other ways transport the device. Please keep it out of the reach of children when stored.

Danger of suffocation. Children like to play with packing material and consider it a toy. Bags, plastic films and polystyrene are dangerous though: A child can suffocate from these. Therefore: Always safely store away your packaging material from children.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
Danger of injury. Do not use our device if the battery power is less than 15 %. This will prevent damage to the battery and to your device. Please immediately charge your battery fully.
We recommend that you charge your battery completely as a matter of procedure.
Do not connect the charger (8, 9) if you detect signs of mois-ture on the charger port (1).

  • The charger port (1) is next to the on / off button (2).
  • Please connect the charger cable (8) to the mains cable (9).
  • Now connect the charger cable (8) to the charger port (1).
  • Please connect the mains cable (9) to a power socket. Please pay attention to the notes on the type plate of the charger (8, 9).

Indicator light is green: charging is complete or charger (8, 9) cannot be connected. Indicator light is red: Device is charging.

DRIVING WITH THE HOVERBOARD
If you use our device, this may also be hazardous. Therefore: Learn more about our device little by little. Allow yourself enough time to exercise.
Practice getting on and getting off our device together with an acquaintance or the parents, until you are able to master this with ease.
You must place your feet on the designated foot pads (4) at the same time. Please do this almost simultaneously. Otherwise, our device will turn very quickly in one direction. You could fall and get injured.

  • Please press the power button (2) to activate or deactivate the product.
  • Place your left foot on the left foot pad (4) if you get on the board with your left foot first. If you get on the board with the right foot first, please place it on the right foot pad (4). Then you must be swift to place the respective other foot on the foot pad (4). To get on the Hoverboard with both feet at once can also be done of course, however this requires great skill.
  • When you have assumed a safe body position, you can control the device by moving your body or your weight. (Fig. 2). Please refer to the table below for control.

Our Hoverboard does not have a brake mechanism. If you wish to reduce speed, you must slowly move your body’s centre of gravity / your weight backwards.
Please only get off the device in backwards direction. Should you get off in forward direction, your body’s centre of gravity / weight will be moved forward. Then the device will perform an extra thrust forward. The board will stop you from getting off.
 Please remember: Never get off the Hoverboard at the highest speed. Gradually reduce the speed. Please always get off in backwards direction.
 Please refrain from any hasty turning. At high speeds this is a great danger.

CLEAN, MAINTAIN AND SERVICE

CLEANING THE HOVERBOARD
Please deactivate the device. If you wish to clean the device, remove the plug of the charger (8, 9) from the power socket. Now let all parts cool down completely.

  • When cleaning the appliance, do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Please do without coarse and hard brushes. Objects, such as from metal, which have hard edges, leave scuffs on the device. Please bear in mind: Solvents are harmful to your health. They also may affect the plastic of your device. The surface may be damaged by this.
  • Should you wish to clean the charger and the Hoverboard (8, 9), use a slightly damp cloth. Please ensure that subsequently all parts are rubbed dry with a cloth.

Please ensure that our device is not immersed in water or any other liquid. The appliance must not come into contact with running water. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
STORAGE OF THE HOVERBOARD AND TRANSPORT
Please clean our device and the accessories as described in section “Cleaning the Hoverboard”.
Please keep our device in a place that is clean and dry. Children must not have access. The best thing to do is to store our device in its original packaging.

  • If you wish to transport our Hoverboard and its accessories, please make sure it is deactivated and cooled down fully. We would advise that you always use the original packaging for transport or a carrying bag.
  • Please ensure that the Hoverboard does not fall during transport.
  • Our device must be protected against impacts and vibrations. Especially when you transport it in a vehicle.

Our device contains a Li-Ion battery, which can not be removed. These batteries are subject to certain conditions during transportation. They may only be transported if the local laws permit this.
If you would like to take our device on an aircraft with you, or on another type of travel, please check with the carrier first if this is permitted.

HOVERBOARD SERVICE

Our device and its accessories do not require service. Any repairs you must not carry out yourself. If you have any questions, or if you are stuck with operating the device, please contact your dealer.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Cause and correction of the defects
Device is not responding. Hoverboard is not activated.

Please activate our device with the on / off button (2).
Battery is not fully charged.
Please charge the battery.
A violent shock (caused by a rollover, for example) has shaken our unit. Since then the LED warning light is red.
Please deactivate our device and then reactivate.
LED warning light (7) is active and a signal is heard.| You are travelling at too high a speed.
Reduce the speed. Please get off carefully and calmly.
You are in a steep gradient right now.
Please reduce your speed. Then please calmly and carefully get off the board.
Wheels (3) are locked.
**** Please reduce your speed. Get calmly and carefully off the device. Please clean the wheels from foliage, pebbles, loose chippings, etc. until they begin to turn again.
Too low battery.
Reduce your speed. Get off the Hoverboard calmly and carefully. Please charge the battery immediately and fully.

APP FUNCTION

Install the APP to experience more driving pleasure!
Method 1:
Search for the application named “TaoTao Plus” in Google Play Store or APP Store, and then install it to your smartphone. After opening the APP, enter the initial password: 000000, then the APP and Hoverboard can be successfully connected.

Method 2:

PAIRING YOUR BLUETOOTH DEVICE

To pair with a Bluetooth device follow these steps:

  1. Make sure both the Bluetooth® function in your device and the scooter are turned on.
  2. On your device, locate the Bluetooth® device list. Select “HOVERBOARD” from the list.
  3. After the pairing is completed, you can use the hoverboard to play music.

Resetting Bluetooth® Memory
To reset Bluetooth® Memory, resetting the scooter is needed, Refer to the hoverboard resetting method.

European Disposal Directive 2002/96/EG
Never dispose your training device in your regular household waste. Dispose the device only at a local or approved disposal. Take care of the currently ap- plicable regulations. If you have doubts contact your local authorities for information about a correct and environment friendly disposal option.
batteries/rechargeable batteries
In accordance with the battery regulation, you are legally obliged as an end- user to return all used batteries. Disposal in the regular household waste is forbidden by law.

On the most batteries you will find the symbol which remember you about this regula- tion. Beside this symbol there is usually information about the contained heavy metal. Such heavy metals require an environment friendly disposal. As an end user you are legally obliged to submit used batteries at the appropriate collection point of your city or commercially. If you have doubts contact your local authorities for information about a correct and environment-friendly disposal option.

Packaging material can be conveyed back to the raw material cycle. Dispose of packaging material in accordance with legal provisions. Information can be retrieved from the return or collections systems of your community.
