Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance (underside the kettle base) corresponds with the voltage in your home. If this is not the case, contact your dealer and do not use the kettle.

Features
Just one touch on the four preset temperature buttons to prepare your green tea 175° F (80° C), delicate tea 160° F (70° C), herbal tea 195° F (90° C), or black tea/boil 212° F (100° C) very efficiently. Equipped with the most accurate temperature sensor that will never again burn your tea leaves. You can also boil water 212° F (100° C) quickly.
- The variable temperature kettle has a keep-warm function that holds your desired water temperature for up to 60 minutes.
- The memory feature allows the water kettle to be lifted off its base for up to three minutes without shutting off or losing its place in the brewing process.
- The glass body lets you easily see the water level.
- The cordless kettle, with a 360° base, lets you pour water easily.
- Boil-dry protection and auto-shutoff prevent your kettle from boiling dry.
- 1.7 L capacity heats enough water for everyone.

Components
Setting up your kettle
- Remove your kettle and all materials from the carton.
- Examine your kettle for any damage, such as dents or broken glass. Don’t install or use your kettle if you find any damage.
- Place your kettle on a level surface that provides enough open space for the air vents.
- Plug your kettle into a standard, grounded household outlet. Make sure that the voltage and the frequency is the same as the voltage and the frequency on the rating label.
- Before you use your kettle, we recommend that you clean your kettle by boiling a full kettle of water twice, then discarding the water.
Using your kettle
Filling your kettle
- Remove the kettle from the heating base, then remove the lid.
- Add water to the kettle.
Notes:
- Always fill the kettle between the minimum .5 qt. (0.5 l) and maximum 1.8 qt. (1.7 l) marks. Too little water results in the kettle turning off before the water has boiled. Too much water results in boiling water overflowing.
- Make sure that the lid is firmly in place before connecting the power cord to the outlet.
- If using the tea infuser, make sure that the water does not exceed the “1.2 L Tea Max
- Close the lid, then position the kettle on the heating base. Make sure that the kettle contacts the heating base completely.
Heating water
- With the kettle filled, plug in the heating base. The lights on the control panel will turn on for one to two seconds, then turn off.
- Press the (power) button. The (power) button and 212° F buttons light. The kettle begins heating the water. You can press any of the other temperature buttons, such as 160° F, 175° F, or 195° F, at any time. The kettle will heat the water to the selected temperature.
- If you want to keep the water warm, you can press the Keep warm button at any time and choose a temperature. The kettle keeps the water at the selected temperature for one hour (60 minutes).
CAUTIONS:
- Make sure that the lid is firmly in place before connecting the power cord to the outlet. If the lid is loose, hot water could overflow and result in a scald or burn.
- Always exercise caution when pouring water from your kettle. Contact with boiling water could result in a scald or burn.
- Do not open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot
When the water reaches the selected temperature, the tea kettle beeps to let you know. Lift the kettle from the heating base and pour the water.
Note: You can store your kettle on the heating base when it’s not in use. Make sure that the power is turned off.
Using the tea infuser
- Remove the kettle lid, with the tea infuser attached, from your tea kettle.
- Open the tea infuser lid by turning it until the arrow lines up with the “open” mark.
- Put the amount of tea you want into the infuser basket (we recommend one to two teaspoons (5 -10 g), then replace the lid by turning it until the arrow lines up with “lock” mark.
- Fill your kettle with enough water for the tea you want, making sure that you do not fill it past the maximum mark (“1.2 L TEA MAX”), then replace the lid, with the tea minfuser attached, onto your kettle.
- Plug in your kettle and press the (power) button to turn it on.
- Press any preset temperature button (160° F, 175° F, 195° F, or 212° F). The temperature indicator light turns on and the water begins heating.
- After the water temperature reaches the preset temperature, the power turns off. Let the infuser basket remain in the kettle to steep the tea, and remove it when the color of the tea indicates that the tea is ready (depending on your personal preference).
Using the tea kettle memory function
If you decide that you want your tea kept warm, the Keep Warm button can be
pressed
at any time during the heating process. With the Keep Warm function selected,
you can
remove the tea kettle from the heating base for up to three minutes and have
the heating
base remain on. The temperature buttons can also be pressed at any time to
select the temperature to which you want the water heated.
Boil-dry protection
Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water, the boil- dry protection will automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and re-boiling.
Cleaning and maintaining your electric kettle
CAUTIONS:
- Your tea kettle is NOT dishwasher safe – DO NOT put it in the dishwasher.
- Always unplug the power cord and let your kettle cool down completely before cleaning.
- Never immerse your kettle, cord, or heating base in water, or let moisture come in contact with these parts.
- Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of your kettle. These substances can scratch the surface or fade the color.
Removing mineral deposits
- Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolor or “scale.” To remove this build-up, use non-toxic liquid de-scaler or tea scale cleaning tablets. -or-
- Fill your kettle with three cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water and let it stand overnight. Do not boil.
- Empty the solution from your kettle. Remove remaining stains with a damp cloth.
- Boil two full kettles of water, then discard the water.
Cleaning the outside
• Wipe the outside of your kettle and heating base with a damp cloth or sponge.
Cleaning the filter
Remember to clean the filter with a mild detergent and damp cloth at intervals.
Storing your kettle
When not in use, the kettle can be kept on the heating base.

Troubleshooting
Do not try to repair your kettle yourself. Doing so invalidates the warranty. If problems persist after you try the solutions below, contact Best Buy technical support

The auto-shut off function does not operate properly if the lid is not

Water or debris on the bottom of your kettle or on the heating base may
interfere with the functioning of your kettle. Make sure that the bottom of
your kettle and the base are dry and free of debris.
There are mineral deposits inside the kettle.| Before using your electric
kettle for the first time, clean your kettle by boiling two full kettles of
water, then discarding the water.
A certain amount of scale build-up is normal after long periods of use and is
caused by minerals contained in hard water. The best way to prevent mineral
deposits is to always use distilled water in the kettle.
To remove deposits, try filling your kettle with water and a few slices of
lemon, then boil.
