Smartos SmartEntry Electronic Cylinder and Handle
The use methods of SMARTENTRY Electronic Cylinder and SMARTENTRY Electronic Handle are the same. The following takes SMARTENTRY Electronic Cylinder as an example.
CREATE LOCK
Create building
- Building Name
- Description
- Floor Count, 1-99
1) Enter the building interface,
fill in the building information and click “OK”.
Create room and lock
- Room Name
- Description
- Building No.
- Floor No.
- Room No.
- Lock, there can be more than one lock in a room
- Enter Lock Name (The default is building number + floor number + room number + lock number, eg: 010101-1)
- Enter the standard room interface, fill in the room information and lock information, and click “OK”.
SET LOCK
Android APP installation
Connect handset encoder with PC via
USB, turn on the developer options on the handset encoder , and allow the
computer to trust the handset encoder. Enter “Tools -> Handset Encoder”, click
“Install APP”. 
After the APP is installed
successfully, open the APP on the handset encoder. At this time, the account
cannot log in, you need to sync data first.
Synchronize data 
Open the APP on the handset encoder.
Enter “Tools -> Handset Encoder”, click “Sync Data” to synchronize the
software’s data with the APP on the handset encoder.
Synchronize lock 
Connect handset encoder with PC via
USB, synchronize lock’s data with desktop software. 
The basic information of the lock can be viewed in the “Rooms ->
Lock” interface.
Update blacklist 
If users are added to or removed
from the blacklist, the blacklist on the lock can also be updated through the
APP. The function is the same as that of blacklist card and whitelist card.
Use the card held by the user in the blacklist to open the lock that has been written into the blacklist, the flag in the card becomes disable, the card cannot open any lock unless the user is removed from the blacklist and the user card is created again.
READ EVENTS
Read events of lock
Click on “Read log” in “Tool”.
APP automatically connects to Bluetooth to get the lock’s events. Show lock’s events in the list. The reading event from lock may fail. After Rereading, the APP may have repeated events. Desktop software has the function of eliminating duplicate events, so the events displayed on the desktop software are accurate events.
Read events from APP 
Tools -> Portable Encoder”, click
“Read Event” to get event information from the APP.

View the events read from APP in
“Reports -> Lock Audit Trail”.
OPEN LOCK
Click “Open” in “Tool”.
APP automatically connects to Bluetooth to open the lock.
APP automatically connects to Bluetooth to reset the lock.
RESET LOCK
- Click “Reset lock” in “Tool”.
- APP automatically connects to Bluetooth to reset the lock.
UPGRADE LOCK
- When there is a new firmware package for the lock, a prompt will Appear on the APP.
- Click “Upgrade Lock” in “Tool”.
- APP automatically connects to Bluetooth to update the lock, prompt the current firmware version and the new firmware package version.
- Wait for the update to complete.
- When the progress bar reaches 100%, Bluetooth is automatically disconnected and the update is successful.
- Return to the lock information page, the software version is still the old version, and the lock needs to be synchronized again.
- APP automatically connects Bluetooth and synchronizes lock information.
- The software version number changes to the new version number.
