HOW IT WORKS:
Switching on and off:
Press the “MEASUREMENT” button to turn on the device. To switch off press and hold the “OFF” button.
Measurement:
Distance Measurement: Point the laser beam on the object of which you want to measure the distance from the given location. Press and hold the “MEASUREMENT” button again, the result will be displayed on the display, this value will be stored until the next measurement or when the instrument is switched off. For accurate measurement, it is recommended to keep the instrument stable or to place it on a fixed surface and start measuring. The starting point may be either the top or bottom of the device, this can be changed by pressing the ‘STARTING POINT’ button, the display shows the current status.
For continuous measurement, press the “MEASUREMENT* button 2 times in succession, the same to deactivate this function. Defective measurement is indicated by the display with “Errors, the reasons for which may be:
– too large a distance
– too small
– the surface to be measured has too much reflection
Area measurements: Press the “FUNC” key repeatedly until the display shows a flashing rectangle. Area measurement requires 2 values, length, and width. Perform the measurements as described in the distance measurement section. The rectangle on the display always blinks with the side that needs to be measured. After the 2 measurements, the area value can be read.
Volume measurement Press the “FUNC” button repeatedly until the display shows a flashing side cube. The volume measurement requires 3 values, length, width, and height. Perform the measurements as described in the distance measurement section. The cube on the display always flashes on the side that has to be measured. After the 3 measurements, the volume value can be read.
Deleting measurements
Press the “CLEAR” button to clear the display values, only the last measured value will be cleared from memory.
Warning:
Do not direct the laser beam towards your eyes, it can cause serious damage
to your health!
Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or heat radiation.
Do not use the device in a damp environment.
Remove the batteries when not in use for a long time.
