Handy 10053 Self-Leveling Cross Line Laser Instructions

Application

The laser level is suitable for all work in which it is important to determine the plane, be it horizontal or vertical. It can be placed at any height, fixed and, after switching on, projects a fully self calibrating (within 3 degrees) laser cross onto the workpiece. The planes of the cross appear horizontally and vertically and are perpendicular to each other. They provide a starting point for a lot of construction and DIY work, without special calculation and measurement tasks, e.g.: cladding, shelving, cabinet laying, plasterboarding, etc

Use

Place the laser level in front of the workpiece within 15 m and secure it. In bright light conditions, it is recommended to use the “outdoor (OUT) mode”, where the laser line is stronger and thicker. Pull the lens fixing tab, which is also the on / off switch, then the laser cross appears on the workpiece. You can turn each laser line on or off by pressing the H / V button. The laser lines appear 360° around the device. If the mounting plane of the level is outside the selfcalibration value, it is indicated by the laser flashing, in which case adjust the mounting point. It is possible to use the fixed mode (without the self-calibration function), in which case the laser level does not try to adjust itself in a horizontal position, but projects a laser cross perpendicular to the workpiece relative to the given fixing point. For this function, leave the lens attached and press and hold the “OUT” button on the top of the device for approx. 3 seconds. In this case, the laser cross flashes every 5 seconds to indicate the fixed mode. You can activate on each laser line by pressing the H / V button. Press and hold the “OUT” button again to turn off the unit in the fixed mode.

Warnings

  • Do not leave the laser level unattended during use.
  • Keep out of reach of children!
  • Never look into the laser beam, it can cause serious eye damage! We recommend the use of the protective glasses in the case!
  • Always switch off the device when not in use, it should only be transported in this condition, as the on / off switch is also the lens mount. Otherwise, the self-calibrating mechanism may be damaged!
  • Do not expose to direct sunlight or heat!
  • Do not use in humid environments, the device is IP54 protected, only protected against splashing water!
  • Protect from shocks, strong physical impacts!
  • If you encounter a problem during calibration, laser line, check that the battery is not discharged. If necessary, charge the device battery. You can do this with the Type-C connector on the side of the device, or by removing the device battery from the device using the separately supplied cable and charger adapter. The battery should only be charged with the supplied charger!
  • To prolong battery life, do not allow the device to completely discharge!
  • If the device is not used for a long time, remove the battery. We recommend placing it on a charger every 2-3 months, regardless of the battery level.
  • It is forbidden to disassemble or modify the device!
  • If you have a problem with the appliance, please switch it off and contact a specialist workshop!
