Installation Guide
The Telis 1 Chronis RTS remote control and timer provide control of a single or a group of window coverings in the same room. The Telis 1 Chronis RTS can be used in manual or automatic mode. Manual mode controls the window coverings paired with the remote control. Automatic mode allows you to control window coverings paired with the remote control, using preprogrammed factory settings. Operators can customize the daily and weekly schedules in the “work” program.
Caution: To avoid damaging the product:
- Do not drop or strike.
- Keep away from moisture and liquid.
- Do not clean with abrasive cleaning products or solvents. Only use a soft, damp cloth.
- Keep out of the reach of children.

Battery Installation
- Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote control.
- Insert 2 AAA (LR3) batteries as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery cover.
Replace the batteries when the battery symbol (U) appears on the display.
Note: If there is no power supply for an extended time (batteries are depleted or removed), the settings of the remote control transmitter will need to be reprogrammed. However, the automatic orders are saved in memory.
Never use rechargeable batteries.
Wall Mount
- Select a location for the wall mount.
- Mark the screw locations (vertical spacing: 40 mm).
- Attach the wall mount with the included screws (use anchors if required).
Note: The use of digitally connected appliances (e.g. Hi-Fi radio headphones) operating on the same frequency may cause interference and reduce product performance.
Caution: Never install the Telis 1 Chronis RTS on or near metal surfaces as this may reduce the signal range.
Programming
Set-Up
The Telis 1 Chronis RTS screen switches automatically to sleep mode after two
minutes of inactivity.
When the screen is off or in sleep mode, press any button to turn it on. When
editing settings, pressing and holding the selection button (F) allows you to
return to manual or automatic mode.
Only saved settings are retained.
Programming the remote control
After battery installation, the remote control automatically opens the
settings mode, starting with “Year” flashing on the screen. If there is no
power supply for an extended time (batteries are depleted or removed)
selecting automatic mode will activate the “settings” mode. Settings mode
follows this order:

- “YEAR” (current year)
- “MONTH” (number of the current month)
- “DAY” (number of the current day)
- “TIME” (current hour)
- “TIME” (minutes)
- “AREA” (country of residence)*
- “WORK” (daily/weekend)**
Press the arrow buttons (G) to modify settings (press and hold the button to
scroll through the list faster). To save a setting and move to the next,
briefly press the selection button (F).
Exit the settings mode any time by pressing and holding the selection button
(F). Saved settings will remain.

“AREA” (country of residence)
Note: The Telis 1 Chronis RTS is pre-programmed at the factory to automatically switch between summer and winter conditions based on the country of residence. Select the location of residence such as the United States (US). Select “OFF” to deactivate automatic time change functions (daylight savings) and make the change manually.
** “WORK” (daily/weekend)- Select the workdays you want to program using the arrow buttons (G).
- Briefly presses the selection button (F) to confirm the setting; by default, the days not circled will be vacation or weekend days. Exit the settings mode any time by pressing and holding the selection button (F). Saved settings will remain.

Programming the days of the week
In automatic mode, the Telis 1 Chronis RTS sends automatic commands to one or
more window coverings for each day of the week.
These automatic commands include:
- The same settings for every day of the week (factory setting).
- Settings are divided into two groups of days – workday and weekend. Five workdays have the same operating times each day. The two-weekend or rest days operate on the same schedule, which differs from the workday schedule.
The preset mode can be deactivated at any time by pressing and holding the
selection button (F).
Saved settings will remain.
Modify presets:
- To set the current time for window covering operation, see section “Quick setting of an automatic command”.
- To set a specific time for window covering operation, see section “Editing an automatic order”.
Quick setting of an automatic command
- Using the selection button (F), switch to automatic mode.
- Press the arrow keys (G) to navigate to the open or close setting you wish to edit (settings for all days or for groups of days if work or weekend days have been configured).
- Press and hold the Up and Down buttons (H/J) for more than 10 seconds the open or close function to modify a command. “SET” is displayed on the screen, and the order flashes 3 times. Release the button when “SET” disappears from the screen. The desired open or close operation will occur at that time automatically.
- To quickly store another automatic order, repeat the procedure starting at step 1.
Pairing or Deleting a Window Covering to another RTS Transmitter – Figure B
Pairing or Deleting a window covering is performed in manual mode.
- Press and hold the PROG button on the window covering the control unit until the window covering moves up and down or jogs. The programming mode is active for 2 minutes.
- Press the (PROG) programming button (K) on the Telis 1 Chronis remote control. The window covering moves up and down or jogs and is assigned to or deleted from the Telis 1 Chronis remote.
The procedure for pairing or deleting a window covering to the Telis 1 Chronis RTS is the same. It is done only in manual mode.
- Press and hold the PROG button on the window covering the control unit until the window covering jogs. The programming mode is active for 2 minutes.
- Press the (PROG) programming button (K) on the Telis 1 Chronis remote control. The window covering moves or jogs and is assigned to or deleted from the Telis 1 Chronis remote.
Deleting an automatic command

Using the selection button (F), switch to automatic mode.

Press the arrow keys (G) to select the open or close order that you wish to edit (settings for all days or for groups of days if work or weekend days have been configured).

Press and hold the selection button (F) until “SET” appears on the screen: “Automatic command programming” mode is activated and “EDIT” flashes.

Press one of the arrow buttons (G) to change the menu until “Delete” flashes.

Briefly presses the selection button (F) to confirm the deletion.
Exit “EDIT” mode and return to automatic mode. -
To delete another automatic command, repeat steps 1-5.

- Using the selection button (F), switch to automatic mode.
- Press and hold the selection button (F) until “SET” and “YEAR” appear on the screen. The “settings” mode is activated. The year flashes. This is the first setting to program.
- Follow the steps in the section “Programming the remote control”.
Operation
To switch from manual to automatic mode or from automatic to manual mode,
briefly press the selection button (F).
Manual mode
The manual mode of the Telis 1 Chronis RTS is used to:
- Send an occasional order to the window coverings.
- Deactivate automatic command programming.
Manual control
Briefly press the Up, “my” or Down button corresponding to the desired
function.
Automatic mode
The automatic mode of the Telis 1 Chronis RTS is used to:

Automatically control the window covering, using programmed settings for times or days of the week.
Example of programming for a day: at 6:45 AM, up command to open all products on the ground floor to take advantage of the sunlight; at 8:00 PM, a down command for all the end-products to protect the house from the cold. -
Programming automatic commands for each day of the week (see section “Programming the days of the week”).

In automatic mode, the current time and the next scheduled automatic command are displayed.

To view, all the automatic commands programmed, scroll from one command to the next using the arrow buttons (G).

To stop an automatic command that is currently being executed, press the Stop/my button.
You can also press the Up, “my” or Down buttons in automatic mode.
Simulated presence function
In automatic mode, the “Simulated Presence” or “Vacation Mode” function
randomly changes the times preprogrammed window covering operations occur. By
varying the closure or opening of window coverings by 0 to 30 minutes, it
simulates your presence in the home while on vacation.
To activate or deactivate the function: Figure D
- Using the selection button (F), switch to automatic mode.
- Press both arrow buttons (G) simultaneously. The ( ) symbol appears on the screen. The “simulated presence” function is activated.
- Press both arrow buttons (G) simultaneously. The ( ) symbol disappears from the screen. The “simulated presence” function is deactivated.
Note: Exit the settings mode any time by pressing and holding the selection button (F). Saved settings will remain.
Troubleshooting
Observation | Possible Causes | Solution |

The window covering does not react at all when a button on the Telis 1 Chronis
RTS
is pressed.| The batteries are low.| Replace the batteries.

to cool down, then press the desired button again.
A window covering stops during activation.| The window covering has
encountered an obstacle.| Remove the obstacle and try again.
Another control device is sending a command to the motor or receiver| Wait
until activation of the window covering has finished, then try again.
The command is being sent at a different time than the programmed time.| The
“Simulated presence’ function is activated.| Deactivate the “Simulated
presence” function.
One or more window coverings systematically do not respond to a programmed
automatic command.| A signal from another automatic device in your home is
causing interference.| Change the programmed time of the automatic command.
