What you need
- 8 Batteries (AA Lithium only)
- Phillips Screwdriver
- Tape measure
- Pencil
Power
The battery tube needs power –so let’s start with installing the batteries.
Unscrew the cap and follow the guide on the outside of the tube for proper
battery installation. Once completed, tighten and secure the cap to ensure
proper battery connection.
Caution
New AA Lithium Batteries are recommended. Never mix old and new batteries.
Mounting the Battery Tube
Caution
BEFORE YOU BEGIN! It is important to make sure that both the battery tube
and the window covering will fit into the space you have. The battery tube
power cable must be on the same side as the window covering power cable.
Measure the depth of window covering and then measure the depth of the window
opening.
You must have at least one inch of additional space behind the window
covering.
Horizontal Installation

A. Ensure you have enough space for the battery tube and the window covering in the window opening.
B. Position clips approx. 3″ from ends of battery tube. Measure & mark location in the window opening. -
C. Mount clips using the included screws. Be careful not to over tighten.
Vertical Installation
- A. Slide the securing bands onto the battery tube.
- B. To prevent tube from sliding down, position clips under the securing bands approx. 3″ from ends of battery tube. Measure & mark location in the window opening.
- C. Mount clips using the included screws. Be careful not to over tighten.
Note:
If you must mount the battery tube more than 10 inches from the window
covering power cable, you will need to purchase available extension cables.
Snap & Connect
Gently snap the battery tube into the mounting clips, ensuring the battery
tube power cable is on the same side as the window covering power cable. The
battery tube power cable must be on the same side as the window covering power
cable. Connect the battery tube power cable into the window covering power
cable. Make sure that the cables will not interfere with the operation of the
motorized window covering.
You may use wire ties or tape to secure excess cable.
Your window covering is now powered and is ready to use!
Note:
If you purchased an extension cable, connect the cable to the end of the
battery tube cable, then to the end of the window covering motor cable.
