POWER SUPPLY

AC POWER: You can power your portable stereo system by plugging the AC power cord into the AC plug (15) at the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet. Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage. Make sure that the AC power cord is fully inserted into the appliance.
BATTERY POWER: To use the radio with batteries, disconnect the AC power cord and insert 3 × “LR20” batteries into the compartment (16). Be sure that the batteries are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the appliance. Remove the batteries when the radio will not be used for a long period of time, as this will cause leakage to the batteries and subsequently damage to your radio.

TO USE THE RADIO

  1. Press the [Power] button (2) to power ON the unit;
  2. Choose the radio wave band using the [Band] button (4);
  3. Adjust radio frequency to your desired station by pressing the [Tuning +/-] buttons (5/6). (If you hold tuning button for 3 seconds it will scan until it finds the next station);
  4. Adjust the volume with the [Volume knob] (3) ;
  5. To switch off the radio, press the [Power] button (2).

Note: For a better reception of FM radio, reorient the antenna (12).
For AM/SW, signals are picked through a built-in ferrite antenna.
Your may have to orient the unit to obtain the best reception.

PRESETS

  1. Tune the desired station as explained above;
  2. Press [Memory] button (7) to enter in preset mode;
  3. The icon “MEMORY” and the number will flash on the display;
  4. Press the [M +/-] buttons (8/9) to choose the number;
  5. Press the [Memory] button (7) to confirm the memory setting.

STORE RADIO STATIONS AUTOMATICALLY:

Press & Hold the [Memory] button (7) (for 4 seconds) and the radio will automatically scan the radio. During the scanning process, the radio will save the scanned stations sequentially into the memory.

RECALL A PRESET STATION:

Press the [M +/-] buttons (8/9) to choose the desired station.

QUICK STORAGE:

The Radio allows you to quickly change between 4 favorite stations

  1. Tune the desired station as explained above;
  2. Hold the [Quick Storage] button (13) to store the station;
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to save 4 favorite stations.

You can quickly switch between this 4 stations by pressing the desired number.

CLOCK SETTING

In stand-by mode:

  1. Press the [Clock] button (7) and the display will show “12 Hr”.
  2. Press the [Time +/-] button (5/6) to choose 12-24H format.
  3. Confirm with [Clock] button (7).
  4. Press the [Time +/-] buttons (5/6) to adjust the hour.
  5. Confirm with [Clock] button (7).
  6. Press the [Time +/-] buttons (5/6) to adjust the minutes.
  7. Confirm with [Clock] button (7).

SLEEP TIMER

The sleep timer switches the radio off automatically after an adjustable time. When the radio is ON:

  1. Press & Hold [Power] button (2) for 4 seconds, the display will show the sleep indication and the sleep time “90”;
  2. Adjust the sleep shutdown time by pressing repeatedly the [Power] button (2). You can choose between 90-80-70-60-50- 40-30-20-10-OFF;
  3. Sleep time will be confirmed if no button is pressed within 5 seconds.

CANCEL SLEEP TIMER

  1. Press & Hold [Power] button (2) for 4 seconds, the display will show the sleep indication and the sleep time “90”;
  2. Press repeatedly the [Power] button (2) to choose OFF.

ALARM SETTING

In stand-by mode:

  1. Press the [Band] button (4) and the display will show an alarm icon.
  2. Press the [Clock] button (7) and the alarm clock will flash.
  3. Press the [Time +/-] buttons (5/6) to adjust the desired hour.
  4. Confirm with [Clock] button (7).
  5. Press the [Time +/-] buttons (5/6) to adjust the desired minutes.
  6. Confirm with [Clock] button (7).
  7. Press the [Time +/-] buttons (5/6) to choose the alarm mode (buzzer or radio).
  8. Confirm with [Clock] button (7).

Note: The alarm volume depends on the last setting. (ev. Adjust the volume with the knob (3) to the desired level).

ALARM OFF: During Alarm on, press [Power] button (2) to deactivate the alarm sound (the Alarm setting remains) or press [Band] (4) to postpone the alarm for 5 min. To remove the alarm setting, in stand-by mode, press the [Band] button (4) and the alarm icon will disappear from the display.

KEYBOARD LOCK

To lock the use of the keyboard, press & hold the [Lock] button (10). A lock icon will appear on the top of the display.
To unlock the keyboard, press & hold again the [Lock] button (10).
