sauermann HVACR Measuring Instruments User Guide
These portable instruments are used to measure the following parameters:
temperature, relative humidity, pressure, airflow and air velocity.

1 Key operation for Si-HH3, Si-PM3, Si-TT3, Si-VH3 and Si-VV3
Power Down menu
The instrument is supplied with auto-off activated. Enter in the Power Down
Menu when starting the instrument to deactivate it.
2 Key operation for Si-TI3
To activate/deactivate the laser dot, press (1) and (4) keys simultaneously. To get information on other functions, please read the full technical manual downloadable from the QR code at the end of this document.
3 Insert the batteries in the instrument
- Unscrew (all instruments except Si-TI3) and remove the batteries cover 1 .
- Insert 3 (all instruments except Si-TI3) or 2 (only Si-TI3) alkaline batteries LR03 AAA 1.5 V respecting the polarity.
- Replace and screw (all instruments except Si-TI3) the batteries cover.
4 Download Si-HVACR Measurement Mobile App
- Flash the QR code to download Si-HVACR Measurement MobileApp application on your smartphone. OR
- Write “Si-HVACR Measurement MobileApp” in the search bar then validate.
- Download Si-HVACR Measurement MobileApp application by pressing its icon.
- Follow your smartphone indications.

4a Connect the smartphone and the instrument (all instruments except Si-
TI3)
- Turn on the instrument with a long press on ON/OFF key.
- Press ON/OFF and HOLD keys to activate the wireless communication. The wireless communication icon flashes on the instrument screen.
- Launch Si-HVACR Measurement MobileApp application by pressing its icon.
- Press “Search for devices”.
- Press the line of the required device then “Connect”. The wireless communication icon becomes fix when the instrument is paired to the tablet or the smartphone.

4b Connect the smartphone and the instrument (Si-TI3 only)
The Si-TI3 is automatically turned on with wireless communication activated when inserting batteries.
- Launch Si-HVACR Measurement MobileApp application by pressing its icon.
- Press “Search for devices”.
- Press the line of the required device then “Connect”.
The Si-TI3 will automatically shut-off after 15 s of non-use.
5 Display measurement
Once the instrument is connected to the smartphone, measurements are displayed.
6 Emissivity (Si-TI3 only)
Emissivity is a term used to describe the energy-emitting characteristics of materials. See table below for values of emissivity of specific materials:
Set emissivity
- With the device turned on.
- Press Mode key then use Lock key to increment or Unit key to decrease the emissivity value.
- The emissivity can be changed from 0.10 (10E) to 1 (100E).
- Press Mode key to confirm.
7 Operating temperature, protection of the instruments and information
about storage and batteries
- Si-HH3 / Si-TI3 / Si-TT3: from -10 to +60°C (14 to 140°F)
- Si-HH3: IP20
- Si-PM3 / Si-VH3: from 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F)
- Si-PM3: IP40
- Si-VV3: from 0 to 40°C (32 to 104°F)
- Si-TT3 / Si-VH3 / Si-VV3: IP54
If the instrument is stored outside the operating temperature (for example in a van, a warehouse,…) please wait for 10 minutes in its operating temperature before starting and using it.
To ensure safety, replace batteries with the same type. Not doing so runs the rise of explosion. Dispose of used batteries according to instructions.
