SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the instructions carefully before use. Save them for future reference.

- Put the lid on and close the air valves when you have finished grilling.
- Wear grill gloves to avoid burn injuries when grilling.
- Do not throw hot charcoal or briquettes into rubbish bins, or where someone could tread on them, or anywhere else where they could start a fire. Make sure briquettes are completely extinguished before discarding them.
- Do not put the grill away, in your garden shed for example, before it has completely gone out.
- Keep flammable liquids and pressure containers at a safe distance from the barbecue area.
- When using an electric lighter, keep the cable well away from the hot surfaces on the grill.
- The grill is not intended to be used as a heater, and must never be used indoors under any circumstances.
- Clean the grill regularly to ensure that it will keep on working properly.
- The grill must stand on a stable and level surface when in use. Place the grill at a distance of at least 3 metres from any trees or combustible material.
- Only use charcoal and briquettes for the grilling.
- Check that the charcoal is red-hot before grilling, it takes at least 30 minutes. Start grilling when the briquettes/charcoal have a uniform red-hot glow with a thin crust of grey ash over them.
WARNING:
- The grill gets very hot, do not move it when it is lit.
- Do not use the grill indoors.
- Do not use alcohol or petrol to light the grill. Do not spray any form of flammable liquid over the charcoal or briquettes when they have already been lit. Only use firelighters that comply with EN 1860-3.
- Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the grill.
NOTE:
Always put the briquettes/charcoal in the charcoal tray in the bottom of the

PACKAGE CONTENT
ASSEMBLY
- Unpack all the parts and check that no parts are missing or damaged.
- Assemble the product on a level surface.
- Fit the parts in the order shown in the diagrams.
BEFORE USE
- Take out the grill racks, charcoal tray and water tray, and carefully wash them by hand in hot soapy water. Never wash the parts in a dishwasher. Rinse well and dry with a soft, clean cloth – do not leave to dry in the air.
- Before the product can be used to cook food the residue from its protective coating must be burned off. Light
the product in accordance with the instructions and keep the fuel burning with a fully open-air valve for at least one hour. This will burn off all the residue from the protective coating applied during the manufacturing and starts the smoking in of the internal parts. The product becomes better smoked in the more it is used.
WARNING: Always open the door carefully – crack it open first, and then wait five seconds before opening it completely. This releases some of the heat round the bed of fuel and reduces the risk of hot flames.
HOW TO USE
Lighting
- Open the air valve fully and leave the door open to increase the flow of air to the fuel.
- Put 1.5 kg of charcoal in the charcoal tray.
- Light the charcoal and leave the door open until it starts to burn.
- Close the door and adjust the air valve until the required temperature is reached. Close the valve 50 degrees until the required temperature is reached.
Temperature setting
The temperature can be controlled with the air valve and the damper. The more the valve is opened, the greater the flow of air to the bed of fuel and the hotter the temperature. Adjust carefully- small adjustments can produce significant changes in temperature.
Extinguishing
Fully close the air valve to extinguish the fire.
MAINTENANCE
- Always empty the charcoal tray after use. Allow the product to cool, open the door and carefully lift out the charcoal tray.
- Brush the grill racks and other parts clean with a stainless steel brush.
- Clean the outside of the product with hot soapy water.
- Clean the inside with a grill brush.
- The layer of baked oil that builds up on the inside of the product protects the product and should not normally be removed.
- Cover over the product when it is not in use.
