ECOM UNO Pressure Measurement For Carbon Monoxide Detection

General Safety Instructions

WARNING

  • Magnetic Field
The magnetic field can cause pacemakers to malfunction in their impair. Operation of the ecom-UNO by persons with pacemakers is prohibited.

  • Hazard of Injury
Improper work on incinerators can cause injuries. Work on incinerators may only be done by qualified specialists.

CAUTION

  • Damage to the Sensor
Pressures greater than specified will destroy the sensor. Do not use ecom-UNO to measure higher pressures.

  • Damage of the Electricity
Moisture or frost can damage the electronics. Do not store the unit in moist rooms or at sub-zero temperatures.

  • Damage of the Sensors
Substances containing solvents damage the device’s sensors. Avoid contact with substances containing solvents.

Intended Use

The ecom-UNO is suitable for measuring the positive, negative and differen- tial pressure of gases. It is particularly suitable for work on heating, venti-lation and air conditioning systems. The measuring range covers pressures from -200 hPa to +200 hPa.

Scope of Delivery

  • ecom-UNO 200 hPa
  • 2x 1.5 V AA Batteries
  • Protective bag (option)

Device Description

  1. Connection Overpressure
  2. Connection Depression
  3. Display
  4. Battery Capacity
  5. Cursor
  6. Pressure Units
  7. HOLD Key
  8. Setting Key
  9. ON/OFF

Magnetic Holder
The ecom-UNO has a magnetic holder on the back, with which the device can be attached to most metal surfaces.

Magnetic Field
The magnetic field can cause pacemakers to malfunction in their impair. Operation of the ecom-UNO by persons with pacemakers is prohibited.

Initiation/Measurement

  1. Connect the hoses.
  2. Switch on the device.

NOTICE: ecom-UNO carries out a segment test when switched on. It starts in the lower measuring range and is ready to measure after 3 s.

Operations

  • Automatic Switch-off
    • ecom-UNO switches off after 5 min, with values ≤ 0.01 hPa/mbar.
    • ecom-UNO switches off after 15 min, for values > 0.01 hPa/mbar.
  • Display Damping
    • The display damping can be set from 1 (weak damping) to 9 (strong damping) (see setup).
  • Zero Point Correction
    • The zero point correction is used to compensate the zero point drift after switching on the instrument (see setup).
  • Range Switch
    • If the pressure of 0.5 hPa/mbar is exceeded, the ecom-UNO auto- matically switches to the higher measuring range.
    • Resolution from 0.001hPa/mbar to 0.01 hPa/mbar and from 0.01 hPa/mbar to 0.1 hPa/mbar.
  • Range Overload
    • If the measuring range of -200 hPa to +200 hPa is exceeded 4 lines appear on the display.
  • Set Zero Point
    • Press the setting key.
  • Unit Switch
    • Hold down the setting key.
    •  The cursor for the set printing unit moves from unit to unity.
    • Release the setting key at the desired unit.

Scan of the Maximum and Minimum Value

  • Press the HOLD key.
    • Measured values are “frozen” and the value at the time the key is pressed is displayed.
  • Press the HOLD key twice.
    • Minimum value, smallest value since switching on the device, is displayed.
  • Press the HOLD key 3 times.
    •  Maximum value, the highest value since the device was switched on, is displayed.
  • Press the HOLD key 4 times.
    • ecom-UNO is in measuring mode again.
  • Hold the HOLD key.
    • Minimum and maximum values are deleted.

Change Batteries

NOTICE

The two 1.5 V AA batteries must be replaced when the battery capacity indicator flashes.

  1. Open the lid of the battery compartment.
  2. Remove used batteries.
  3.  Replace batteries with new batteries.
  4. Slide the cover onto the battery compartment.

Setup

Settings can be made in the setup menu. To do this, press the ON/OFF key for about 3 seconds after switching on the unit.
The following functions can be set:

Number Value Function Factory Setting
0 0 – 1 1 = Set to Factory Setting 0
1 0 – 90 Automatic Switch-off 15
2 1 – 9 Display Damping 3
3 0 – 1 1 = with Zero Correction 1
  • Select a function with the ON/OFF key.
  • Setting is made with the HOLD and the setting key.
  • Press and hold the ON/OFF key for about 3 seconds to exit the setup menu.
