CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS

Insert 2 or 4 AA/AAA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries into the battery compartment. Batteries must be charged in pairs. When charging only two cells, insert the batteries to the left or right side of the charging terminal.

Align correct polarity ( + and – ) according to the markings in the battery compartment.

You can charge AA or AAA, or both types together at the same time.
To charge both types simultaneously, place your AA/AAA batteries on the left or right side, and the other type of battery on the other. -
Plug the charger into a 100-240 V AC outlet. The built-in switching power supply will adjust automatically. When using this device overseas, a proper plug adapter may be required (not included).

The red LED will turn OFF to indicate that charging is complete, and the batteries are ready for use. The green LED light will turn ON to indicate the USB port is ready.

Once charging is complete, remove batteries and unplug the charger.
DO NOT leave batteries in the charger for extended periods of time (more than 1-2 days) OR when the charger is not plugged in. Unplug the charger when not in use.
USING THE USB PORT
- To use the USB port, ensure batteries are fully charged and/or removed from their charging compartment.
- The green light will be ON to indicate the USB port is ready for use.
- Ensure the maximum output does not exceed 500mA for the USB port.
CHARGING TIME
- AA batteries will take between 3-4.5 hours to fully charge
- AAA batteries will take between 2-3.5 hours to fully charge
NOTE: Charging time will vary depending upon the brand, capacity and condition of batteries being charged. The USB port takes priority over charging AA/AAA batteries. If you have batteries inserted for charging and a device is plugged into the USB port, the charging of the AA/AAA batteries stop. Once the USB device is fully charged or is unplugged from the USB port, the batteries will resume charging.
LED INDICATOR
Equipped with 3 LED lights to indicate charging mode:
- Red LED light ON-quick charge
- Flashing red LED-bad cell detection
- Red LED OFF-charge is completed
- Green LED light ON-USB port is ready for use
BAD CELL DETECTION
When charging, the charger will detect the health of each battery. If any are unsuitable for charging (i.e. short circuited or inserted incorrectly) the LED will start flashing rapidly. The bad cell(s) should be removed from the charger.

- Charge included batteries prior to first use
- Charge only Ni-MH type batteries with this charger
- Batteries may leak or explode, causing personal injury if inserted improperly, disposed of in fire, mixed with other battery types, or short circuited

- This charger is intended for use with Nickel-Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries only. Attempting to charge other types of batteries may cause personal injury and damage to the charger.

- Remove from electrical outlet when not in use.
- DO NOT use an extension cord or any attachment not recommended by manufacturer. This could result in risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury.
- DO NOT operate the charger if it has been subjected to shock or damage. Take it to a qualified service centre for repair.
- DO NOT disassemble the charger. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
- Unplug the charger from the outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Use a damp cloth to clean the surface, do not immerse into water.
- Before disposing of your charger, remove the batteries from the unit.
- This charger is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the charger.
- This power unit is intended to be vertical.

THE SOURCE-WARRANTY
The Source warrants that this product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. Within this period, simply take the product and your proof of purchase to any The Source store or participating dealer and the product will be replaced (where available) without charge. Any product which has been subject to misuse or accidental damage is excluded from this warranty.
This warranty is only applicable to a product purchased through The Source company. owned stores or participating dealers in Canada where the warranty is included with the product. While this warranty does not confer any legal rights other than those set out above, you may have additional statutory rights which will vary under the laws of the various countries, states, provinces and other governmental entities in which The Source operates.
