Product Information
The MX 400 AC Relay Kit is a component designed for electrical systems. It is used to control the switching of AC power supply in a safe and efficient manner. The kit includes various components such as terminal blocks, relays, breakers, and cables, which are necessary for installation.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting the installation, ensure that the AC supply is not energized and the cabinet breaker(s) are turned off.
- To begin the installation, remove the three DIN rail end stops using a small flat screwdriver.
- Confirm the assembly after removing the end stops. Slide the breaker slightly to create space for later steps.
- Take the loose gray terminal block and red jumper from the kit. Assemble the terminal block into the Switched AC Output Neutral position on the right side of the existing terminal blocks on the DIN rail. Install the jumper to connect the Neutral terminal blocks as shown.
- Obtain the pre-wired Line terminal block, breaker, and relay from the kit. Assemble them from right to left:
- a) Install the relay beside the power supply end stop,
- b) Install one of the previously set aside end stops to the left of the relay,
- c) Install the breaker to the left of the end stop and to the right of the existing breaker, and
- d) Install the terminal block into the Switched AC Output Line position.
- Slide the breaker against the second breaker to accommodate four additional components.
- Reinstall the remaining two end stops next to the Line terminal block and breaker.
- Loosen the top terminal screw on the left breaker. Insert the jumper wire from the right breaker into the left breaker terminal. Tighten the terminal screw to ensure both wires are secure. Install the provided cable tie around the relay and power supply wires.
- Connect the red wire from the relay to the Configurable Output + terminal. Connect the black wire from the relay to the Configurable Output – terminal. Secure the connections with the provided cable tie.
- Complete the wiring of the relay kit by installing the AC input and switched AC output wires.
- Important: Before installing the system, make sure to read all included install guides
Installation
Warning: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. DO NOT ENERGIZE AC SUPPLY OR TURN
CABINET BREAKER(S) ON UNTIL ALL SYSTEM WIRING IS COMPLETED.
Note: For clarity, MX 400 cabinet not shown in some images; relay kit can
be installed without removing AC power subassembly from MX 400 cabinet.
- Remove and set aside three DIN rail end stops shown using a small flat screwdriver to pry upwards.
- Obtain loose gray terminal block and red jumper from kit. Assemble terminal block into Switched AC Output Neutral position to right of terminal blocks already on DIN rail. Install jumper as shown to connect Neutral terminal blocks.
- Obtain loose gray terminal block and red jumper from kit. Assemble terminal block into Switched AC Output Neutral position to right of terminal blocks already on DIN rail. Install jumper as shown to connect Neutral terminal blocks.
- Obtain pre-wired Line terminal block, breaker and relay from kit. From right to left, assemble:
- a. Relay (install beside power supply end stop)
- b. End stop (one of those set aside earlier, install to the left of relay)
- c. Breaker (install to the left of end stop, and to the right of existing breaker)
- d. Terminal block (install into Switched AC Output Line position)
- Four added components shown in left image below. Slide breaker over against second breaker.
- Reinstall remaining two end stops next to Line terminal block and breaker as shown.
- Loosen top terminal screw on left breaker. Insert jumper wire from right breaker into left breaker terminal as shown. Tighten terminal screw ensuring both wires are secure. Install provided cable tie as shown around relay and power supply wires.
- Connect red wire from relay to Configurable Output + terminal. Connect black wire from relay to Configurable Output − terminal. Secure with provided cable tie.
- Complete relay kit wiring by installing AC input and switched AC output wires.
