SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Please read these instructions before operating the appliance and retain for future use.
- The appliance is intended solely for domestic use within the home.
- Always use batteries which corresponds with the voltage printed on the bottom of the appliance.
- Never place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or where it could touch a heated oven or microwave oven. Do not allow this appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other flammable materials during use.
- Always use the appliance on a secure, dry, level surface.
- For your own safety, only use the accessories and spare parts from the manufacturer which are suitable for the appliance.
- Protect your scale from impact with hard objects, moisture, dust, chemicals, toiletries, liquid cosmetics and great temperature fluctuation.
- Always return the appliance after a malfunction, or if it has been damaged in any manner to the Customer Service Department for examination, repair or adjustment as special purpose tools are required.
- An electrical appliance is not a toy and should therefore always be placed outside of the reach of children. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical appliances.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- If you decide never to use the appliance again, we advise you to dispose of it in special containers or at a municipal waste collection point.
- Never use the appliance if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged. Any intervention other than cleaning and normal maintenance by the customer must be carried out by an approved service centre.
- Never immerse any part of the main body in water or any other liquid to protect against electrical hazards.
- If the appliance is used for other purposes than intended, or is it not handled in accordance with the instruction manual, the full responsibility for any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages to the product or other things are not covered by the warranty.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows:
Carefully unpack the
appliance and remove all the packaging material. Keep the material (plastic
bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance after
unpacking for any damage, possible from transportation.
Place the enclosed batteries – 2 x 1,5 V AAA – in the batteries compartment on the bottom of the kitchen scale.
Wipe the outside of the kitchen scale only with a damp cloth.
WEIGH
Put the appliance on a flat and stable surface. This kitchen scale has sensor touch control.
The keys are activated by the touch of a finger. The sensor touch control functions also with the lid/ bowl on the scale.
Switch the scale on by touching the ON/TARE key. The entire display will light up.
Wait about 2 seconds untill «0 g» appears on the display.
The kitchen scale is now ready for weighing.
Place the item to be weighted directly on the scale. The weight there of is displayed immediately.
To select a different measurement unit press the UNIT key to change it accordingly to:
g = grams, lb = pounds, oz = ounces, ml = milliliter
The scale can accept a maximum load of 10.000 grams or 10.000 milliliters. The weight measurement is displayed in 1 g divisions. And the scale has a ‘tara’ adding function.
Remove the overweight when «EEEE» appears in the display. NOTE: The total weight placed on the scale can not be more than 10.000 grams.
ADDING FUNCTION
With the adding function you can reset the display to «0 g» after placing a product. This allows you to weigh in a bowl. Do as follows:
- Place an empty bowl on the scale.
- Press the scale on with the ON/TARE key and wait till «0 g» appears on the display.
- Place the first product you wish to weigh in the bowl.
- Read the weight shown on the display.
- After weighing, press the ON/TARE key to reset the scale to «0 g» and you can add the next ingredient.
By repeating step 3, 4 and 5 you can weigh multiple ingredients (e.g. baking ingredients).
Note: «EEEE» appears in the display if more than 10.000 grams in total is placed on the scale.
BATTERIES
If the kitchenscale is left unused for longer than approx. 2 minutes, it automatically switches itself off. You can also turn the scale off manually by touching the key ON/TARE for about 2 seconds.
When the Lo symbol appears in the display, the batteries needs to be replaced. Open the batteries compartment at the bottom of the scale. Make sure the batteries are placed correct (+ and – polarity) and close the lid.
Note: Spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not constitute normal household waste!
They are considered to be toxic waste and, as such, should be disposed of in special containers, toxic waste collection points or brought to electrical goods dealers.
Remark: Batteries containing pollutant substances are marked as follows: Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains mercury
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Wipe the kitchenscale only with a damp cloth.
Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquids. Handle the scale with care, protect the scale from impact with hard object and do not drop it.
RECYCLING
This symbol means that this product should not be disposed of with regular household waste (2012/19/EU). Observe the rules that apply in your country for the separated collection of electric and electronic products. Correct disposal of the product prevents negative consequences for the environment and for public health. The packaging material of this product can be recycled 100%, return packaging material separately.
