IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING KEEP AWAY FROM WATER

Any appliance is electrically live, even when the switch is off. To reduce the risk of death or injury by electric shock:

  1. Always unplug appliance from electrical outlet immediately after using (except when charging unit).
  2.  Do not place or store appliance where it could fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
  3.  Do not use appliance while bathing or in the shower.
  4.  Do not place appliance in, or drop into water or other liquids.
  5.  If appliance has fallen into water, do not reach for it. Unplug immediately.
  6. Unplug this appliance before cleaning.

WARNING : To reduce the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, or injury to persons:

  1.  Never leave a plugged-in appliance unattended.
  2.  Close supervision is required when this appliance is used by, on, or near children, or persons with limited physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or certain disabilities.
  3.  Use appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Use only attachments recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use an extension cord to operate the appliance.
  4.  Never operate the appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a BaBylissPRO Service Center for examination and repair.
  5.  Keep the appliance cord away from heated surfaces.
  6.  Do not pull, twist or wrap the cord around the appliance.
  7.  Never drop or insert any object into any opening on the appliance.
  8.  Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
  9.  Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 175°F (80°C) may cause explosion. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire. Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack (as applicable) except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.
  10.  Do not place the appliance on any surface while it is operating.
  11.  Do not use the appliance outdoors or where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
  12.  Do not crush or heat above 175°F (80°C) or incinerate the appliance, due to risk of fire, explosion or burns.
  13.  Always attach plug to appliance first, then to outlet. To disconnect, turn all controls to OFF position then remove from outlet.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Before using the massager for the first time, charge continuously for 2 hours. Maximum battery capacity will only be reached after 3 charging and discharging cycles.
  2.  Make sure the switch on the massager is in the OFF position. Connect the charging jack into the receptacle on the bottom of the massager. Plug the adapter into any electrical outlet (at the voltage listed on the label affixed to the adaptor). The charging indicator will light up to indicate that charging has begun. Charging is complete after 90 minutes.
  3.  The adapter may become warm while charging. This is normal.
  4.  Preserving the batteries: In order to maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the massager should be recharged for 2 hours approximately every 6 months.
  5. Turn the switch to HI for high-speed function and LO for low-speed function.
  6.  Make sure the switch is in the OFF position when the massager is not operating.

Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
NOTE : This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  2. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  3. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  4. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
  5. Caution: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by Conair Corporation, the manufacturer of this product and the party responsible for compliance, could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

FOR DIRECT PLUG-IN OPERATION
Make sure massager is off. Connect charging jack into the receptacle at the end of massager and plug the adapter into power outlet. ON/OFF SWITCH To operate, simply slide switch to low or high-speed position. To stop operation, set to the OFF position.

CAUTION

  1.  Consult your doctor before using in case of illness or medical condition, including but not limited to pacemaker use, pregnancy, cancer, infection, fracture, or persistent pain.
  2.  Do not use if you have any of the following conditions: diabetes, tuberculosis, benign or malignant tumors, phlebitis or thrombosis, hemorrhages, open or fresh wounds, ulcerated sores, varicose veins, poor circulation or bruised, discolored, burned, broken, swollen, or inflamed skin or heat sensitivity.
  3.  This product should not be used by any individual suffering from a condition that limits o r altogether inhibits the user’s capacity to feel or have sensation in any part of the body.
  4.  If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged period of time, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Persistent pain could be a symptom of a more serious condition.
  5.  Use of this product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.

HOW TO USE

  1.  Be sure to consult with client before use. DO NOT USE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ “IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS” AND “CAUTION” WARNING.
  2.  Ensure the massager is charged and in the OFF position (Marked “0”).
  3.  Make sure massager is in a position where the springs are hanging, and the ON/OFF switch is facing you.
  4.  Place massaging hand through both sets of springs fingers first, palm up. Your fingers should be past the second set of springs and free to move. Your palm should be exposed with the back of your hand tight to the massager pad.
  5.  With your free hand turn massager ON to either LOW speed or HIGH speed depending on the client sensitivity or desired massage strength.
  6. Use the precision of your palm and finger tips to massage the back, neck, or face of client. The massaging pulses will transfer from the massager unit through your hand to the client.
  7.  Once massage is complete turn the massager to the OFF position and remove from hand.

USER MAINTENANCE

  1.  Your massager is designed for household use, and is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. To clean the massager, use a damp cloth with water only. Do not use any strong chemical cleaners.
  2.  If the cord or massager is damaged or does not operate properly, return it to an authorized service center. Any required servicing should be performed by a BaByliss authorized service center. This appliance has no user serviceable parts.
  3.  Never allow the power supply cord to be excessively pulled or twisted. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if damage is visible or unit stops or operates intermittently. Never wrap the cord around the appliance.

DISPOSAL OF LITHIUM-ION BATTERY

  1.  Disconnect the massager from electrical outlet.
  2.  Discharge the battery completely before beginning the disassembly of massager.
  3.  Remove massager pad by loosening and removing 4 screws.
  4.  Remove back cover by loosening and removing 4 screws.
  5.  Remove the 4 screws underneath where the massager cover was located. This will separate the top cover and bottom cover.
  6.  Locate and remove the 2 screws in the bracket holding the lithium battery.
  7.  Disconnect and remove the lithium ion battery.
  8.  To protect the environment, do not dispose of your battery with your ordinary household waste. For more details on recovery of material and waste-treatment facilities, please contact the waste disposal services in your region.

OPERATION

  1.  For dry location use only. Do not expose to water.
  2.  When not in use, unplug unit completely.
  3.  Unit will become warm during operation. CAUTION
  4.  Dry location use only. Do not expose to liquids, vapor, or rain.
  5. nsure jack is plugged into the massager unit before plugging the adapter into the outlet.
  6. Do not operate any appliance that has a damaged output cord or housing.
  7. Always unplug the unit before cleaning or when not in use.
  8. Be sure voltage is correct before plugging in. For connection to supply not in the U.S.A. use an attachment plug adapter of the proper confi guration for power outlet. The included adapter automatically adjusts to the input voltage. DO NOT USE A VOL-TAGE CONVERTER.

MASSAGER CHARGING PRECAUTIONS

  1. Avoid charging the batteries at temperatures below 41° F (5° C) or above 95° F (35° C).
  2. Avoid charging the batteries in direct sunlight or near a radiating heat source.
  3. Even though the massager may not be used for an extended period, charge once a month to preserve battery life.
  4. The power cord cannot be replaced. If it is damaged, the AC adapter should be discarded.

MASSAGER OPERATING PRECAUTIONS

This massager has a built-in rechargeable battery. Do not throw into fi re, apply heat, or charge, use, or leave in a high-temperature environment.

Everyone knows that electricity and water are a dangerous combination. But did you know that an electrical appliance is still electrically live even if the switch is off? If the plug is in, the power is on. So when you are not using the appliances, keep them unplugged.

LIMITED 2-YEAR WARRANTY

BabylissPro will repair or replace (at our option) your unit free of charge for 24 months from the date of purchase if the appliance is defective in workmanship or materials. To obtain service under this warranty, return the defective product to the service center listed below, together with your purchase receipt and $15.00 for postage and handling. California residents need only provide proof of purchase and should call 1-800-326-6247 for shipping instructions. In the absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be 24 months from the date of manufacture. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE 24-MONTH DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN, LIMITED WARRANTY. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
