PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
PREFACE
Dear Customer,
You have made a good choice by buying this coffee grinder. You have purchased
a
recognised quality product.
Thank you very much for buying our product. We wish you a lot pleasure with
your new Graef coffee grinder.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Read all instructions carefully.

To protect against risk of electric shock, do not put appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.

This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

Children shall not play with the appliance.
-
This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. -
Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, cleaning or approaching parts that move in use.

Turn unit off and unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn off, grasp plug, and pull from wall. Never yank on cord.

Avoid contact with moving parts.

Keep hands and utensils out of container while appliance to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the appliance.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

The use of attachments, including ordinary jar and processing assembly parts not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

The appliance can be used only indoors and in household.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces, including the stove.

Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.

Do not misuse this appliance for other than its intended use to avoid potential injury.

Always operate appliance with cover in place.

Do not leave appliance unattended while it is operating.
-
Do not operate in the presence of explosive and / or flammable fumes.

To disconnect, turn the control to off, then remove plug from wall outlet.

Screw on bean container bottom firmly. Injury can result if moving blades accidentally become exposed.

Do not place/remove mixing container on/from motor base while motor is running.
-
Do not run motor while mixing container is empty.
-
The working time of the appliance not exceed 2 min.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Unpack the Coffee Grinder and remove all packaging materials carefully.
- Wash the parts. See “Cleaning and maintenance”.
- Place the Coffee Grinder base on a dry, level surface. Do not plug unit in until completely assembled.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Always switch off and unplug before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the appliance body, cord or plug in water. Simply wipe the coffee grinder body with a damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the bean container or cover as these may scratch or damage the surface.
- For best result and to avoid food from becoming stuck on any parts, clean accessories, coffee container and lid immediately after each use.
- Store the bean container and lid in the unlocked position when not in use. Store all accessories in a safe location out of the reach of children.
CLEANING
- Before cleaning, turn off and unplug the appliance.
- Remove Bean container by turning it counterclockwise until loose.
- Remove the Coffee container and lid assembly.
- Remove lid and lid cap.Wash removable parts by hand or in the dishwasher.
ASSEMBLING YOUR COFFEE GRINDER
Place the coffee grinder base on a flat, level surface. Carefully screw in the assembled bean container into the well on the top of the coffee grinder. Place the lid onto the top of the bean container. Plug the appliance into a 220-240 Voltage 50 – 60 Hz AC outlet only. Your coffee grinder is now ready for use.
USING YOUR COFFEE GRINDER’S CONTROL
The control buttons are located on the top of the coffee grinder.

Make sure that the appliance plug is not plugged in.

Place the bean container on top of the coffee grinder.
-
Turn the bean container clockwise until you hear it click into place.Now turn the bean container to fine and then to the desired grind.

Insert the ground coffee container. Make sure that the lid of the ground coffee
container is in place. The machine will not work without the lid. -
Remove the lid of the bean container.

Fill the bean container and make sure that the lid is securely closed (maximum filling is approx. 225 g).

Insert the plug into the socket.

Turn the bean container clockwise for a finer grind and anticlockwise for a coarser grind. Note: Use a coarser grind for percolator/french press, medium grind for filter coffee machines and fine grind for espresso.

Set the Start / Stop button to the desired number of cups.

Press the Start / Stop button and then release the button, the grinding process begins. Please note: The coffee grinder can only be operated when the coffee bean container and the ground coffee container are properly inserted.
• The grinding process ends automatically after completion.
• Briefly press the Start / Stop button to stop the machine immediately.
• Remove the ground coffee container and brew your coffee with freshly ground coffee.

DISPOSAL
At the end of its service life, this product cannot be disposed of in normal domestic waste. The symbol on the product and in the operating instructions point out to this fact. Reuse the materials according to their marking. By reusing, recycling or other applying other forms of use of old units, you render an important contribution to the protection of our environment. Please ask your municipal administration for the disposal point.
2 YEAR WARRANTY
As from the date of purchase we assume manufacturer warranty of twenty-four months for defects which can be traced back to manufacturing and material defect.
Your legal warranty claim in conformity with Section 437 ff. of the German Civil Code (BGB) shall remain unaffected by this regulation. The guarantee does not cover any damage which is caused by incorrect handling or use as well as defects which only slightly influence the function or the value of the unit.
Moreover, transport damage provided we are not responsible shall be excluded from the claims under guarantee. Guarantee shall be ruled out for damage, the repair of which has not been carried out by us or one of our representations. In case of justified complaints, we shall repair the defective product or replace it by a product without defects at our discretion.
