IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING – When using this product basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
WARNING – Some spray created from products used with the sprayer contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defect or other reproductive harm. Follow directions on containers of all such products. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, wear approved safety equipment such as face masks that are specially designed to filter out sprays, gloves, and other protective equipment. Before using any sanitizer or other spray materials in this sprayer, read the label on its original container thoroughly and follow its directions. Some spray materials are dangerous and should not be used in this sprayer, as they can damage the sprayer and cause serious bodily injury or property damage.

  1. Read all the instructions before using the product.

  2. To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when a product is used near children.

  3. Know how to stop the product and bleed pressures quickly. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls.

  4. Stay alert – Watch what you are doing.

  5. Do not operate the product when fatigued or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  6. Keep operating area clear of all persons

  7. Do not overreach or stand on unstable support. Keep good footing and balance at all times.

  8. Follow the maintenance instructions specified in the manual.

  9. WARNING – Risk of injection or injury– do not direct discharge stream at persons.

  10. Do not spray electrical apparatus and wiring.

  11. DANGER – Risk of fire or explosion. The spray area must be well-ventilated and away from sparks or flames.
    Do not spray flammable liquids such as gasoline.
    Look for this symbol reference on the container.

  12. WARNING – Improper application of cleaning solution can result in severe injury or death. Please follow the chemical manufacturer’s safety instructions and guidelines.

  13. Warning – Electric Shock Hazard. Never spray toward electrical outlets, wires, lights or electrical boxes.

  14. WARNING – Chemicals and chemical spray can be hazardous and cause serious injury, permanent damage, or death if ingested, inhaled, or splashed in eyes or on skin. Follow chemical manufacturer’s safety instructions at all times.

  15. WARNING – If the sprayer has been used for certain chemicals, such as insecticides or herbicides, it should not later be used for any other chemicals such
    as cleaning or disinfecting solutions. Before using the sprayer for other chemicals, clean the sprayer thoroughly and obtain a new spray bottle and nozzle assembly.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

FOR ALL BATTERY–OPERATED GARDENING APPLIANCES

  1. Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance. Carrying the appliance with your finger on the switch or energizing appliance that have the switch on invites accidents.
  2. Disconnect the battery pack from the appliance before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing appliance. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the appliance accidentally.
  3. Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer .A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
  4. Use appliances only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
  5. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
  6. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
  7. Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
  8. Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130°C (265°F) may cause explosion.
  9. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
  10. Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
  11. Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack (as applicable) except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.

SAFETY WARNINGS FOR BATTERY PACK

a) Do not dismantle, open or shred battery pack.
b) Do not expose the battery pack to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
c) Do not short-circuit a battery pack. Do not store battery packs haphazardly in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short- circuited by other metal objects. When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or fire.
d) Do not subject the battery pack to mechanical shock.
e) In the event of battery leaking, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
f) Do not use any battery pack which is not designed for use with the equipment.
g) Keep the battery pack out of the reach of children. h) Always purchase the battery pack. recommended by the device manufacturer for the equipment.
i) Keep the battery pack clean and dry.
j) Wipe the battery pack terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.
k) Battery pack needs to be charged before use. Always use the correct charger and refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or equipment manual for proper charging instructions.
l) Do not leave the battery pack on prolonged charge when not in use.
m) After extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the battery pack several times to obtain maximum performance.
n) Recharge only with the charger specified by Worx. Do not use any charger other than that specifically provided for use with the equipment.
o) Retain the original product literature for future reference.
p) Use the battery pack only in the application for which it was intended.
q) Remove the battery pack from the equipment when not in use.
r) Dispose of properly.
s) Do not mix cells of different manufacture, capacity, size or type within a device.
t) Keep the battery away from microwaves and high pressure.

SYMBOLS

To reduce the risk of injury, the user must read the instruction manual.
Warning
Recycle Icon Li-Ion battery, the battery must be recycled.
Do not burn
Batteries may enter the water cycle if disposed of improperly, which can be hazardous for the ecosystem. Do not dispose of waste batteries as unsorted municipal waste.
Remove the battery from the socket before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.

Filling the tank

When adding spray solutions, you may add water and the desired chemical solution directly into the tank, or use a solution that has been premixed in a separate container, then poured into the sprayer.

NOTE: If you use solid or powder chemicals, mix them with water completely to avoid clogging the spray nozzle.

WARNING: Do not overfill the tank. Chemicals used must be as thin as water. Thicker chemicals will not spray properly. WARNING: Before filling the tank, always remove the battery pack. Wipe up any spills before inserting the battery pack. NOTE: Chemicals should be stored out of the reach of children. Failure to do so may result in serious personal injury.

NOTE: After the hose is attached, check the connection by gently pulling upon the hose. It should not be pulled off.

Starting
Press the lock-off button, then pull the trigger to begin operation. ( See Fig. H1) NOTE: At the first use or after long-term storage, remove the spray nozzle and short lance kit or extension lance first. It is recommended to pour water directly into the hose adapter with the machine turned on to empty the air. Ensure water sprays out before working.| See Fig. H1, H2
Spraying
WARNING: Spray away from the body. Wear proper protective equipment, including a mask and protective eyewear. Do not spray on windy days.| See Fig. I1, I2

OPERATING TIPS:

Before usage, follow these tips carefully. Failure to do so will cause serious personal damage.

  1. WARNING: Do not use self-heating, alcohol-based chemicals, hydrogen peroxide, strong caustic chemicals or strong acids in the sprayer.
  2. Do not combine chemicals.
  3. Spray area must be well ventilated.
  4. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or explosion, never use a liquid with a flash point less than 131°F (55°C). Know the contents of the chemical being sprayed. Read all product labels provided with the chemical and follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
  5. CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not touch the nozzle during use.
  6. WARNING: Never point the spray end at yourself or others. Keep all body parts out of spray pattern.
  7. Never point sprayer in the direction of people or animals.Always spray in a downwind direction.
  8. CAUTION: Avoid spraying on windy days. Mist can be accidentally blown onto plants or objects that should not be sprayed.
  9. Do not use the sprayer under the extremely high temperature. Excessive heat may evaporate the mist before it settles.
  10. WARNING: Never smoke, eat, or drink while operating the sprayer.
  11. Do not leave residue in the tank after usage. Clean after each use.
  12. Before working, wait for about 10 seconds after turning on.

MAINTENANCE

Remove the battery pack from the tool before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
Inspect the product for damaged or worn parts before each use. Do not operate it if you find damaged or worn parts. Contact your supplier or the manufacturer for replacement parts.

Filter screen maintenance
Remove the hose adapter to get the filter screen. (See Fig.J1, J2) Rinse it with clean water before reassembling.
NOTE: When retightening the hose adapter, please tighten securely. Otherwise, it may not draw any water for proper operation.
WARNING: Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.

CLEANING/STORAGE

Clean thoroughly after each use. Run clean water through the sprayer to clear spray residue from the body of the sprayer. Do not store chemicals in the tank. Always store and dispose of chemicals properly. Before storage, completely drain all the water from the machine and hose.
Never use flammable chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the tank. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Clean the molded plastic housing of the machine using a soft brush and clean cloth. Do not use water, solvents or polishes. Store in a secure and dry place out of the reach of children. Do not place other objects on the product.
Allow all pieces to completely dry before reinstalling parts and storing the unit. Store the machine and the accessories in a frost-free place. Store the sprayer in an upright position.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Machine does not draw any water after long time storage.| Additional air could be sucked into the machine.| It is recommended to pour water directly into the hose adapter with the machine turned on to empty the air. Ensure water sprays out of the nozzle before working.
Machine sprays improperly.| Nozzle is clogged, hose is partially disconnected, or fluid in tank is low.| Clean the filter. Check hose connections and make sure there is sufficient fluid

in the tank.

Machine is “spitting”.| Liquid in tank is too thick to spray out.| Empty the tank, clean both the tank and filter, then try again. Make sure that all liquid used in the sprayer are as thin as water.
Spraying performance is weak.| Filter needs to be cleaned. Solution is too thick.| Clean the filter.

Make sure that all liquid used in the sprayer are as thin as water.

Machine runs for a short period then shuts off.| Battery needs charging. Solution is too thick.| Recharge the battery.
Make sure that all liquid used in the sprayer are as thin as water.
