METAL WORK M0050111 Protective Bellows Kit Assembly for ISO 15552 Cylinders Instruction Manual
The bellow kit consists of the following components:
- Rod collar
- Bellows
- Junction (only for double or triple kit)
- Head collar
WARNINGS FOR FIXING THE CYLINDER THROUGH THE FRONT HEAD
Make sure to have a cylinder prepared for the assembly of the bellows kit with suitably extended rod (cylinders codes 154…). For bores Ø32, Ø40, Ø50 the bellows kit can be mounted only after having fixed the cylinder.
FOOT MODEL A
For bores Ø32 and Ø40 it is not possible to use the feet mod. A standard codes W0950322001 and W0950402001 but the version supplied with rounded head screws must be used (code W0950322507 for Ø32 and code W0950402507 for Ø40). Furthermore, it is possible to mount them only inwards. In the case of the Ø32 bore, the foot must be raised to avoid rubbing the bellows on the support surface.
FRONT FLANGE MODEL C
In case of bores Ø32 and Ø40 do not use the front flanges codes W0950322002 and W0950402002 because they prevent effective assembly of the collar on the cylinder head.
ASSEMBLY STEPS
First, mount the cylinder head collar by pressing it on the conical surface of the front cylinder head until it reaches the shoulder.
In the case of a double or triple kit, pre-assemble the junction/s with the bellows.
Mount the bellows (or the pre-assembled bellows group) on the collar of the front head.
Mount the collar with the filters on the piston-rod until it is inserted into
the appropriate groove.
To carry out this step, it is necessary to keep the rod still, for example by
placing the cylinder in a vertical position or by introducing pressure into
the front chamber.
Finally, fix the bellows on to the collar.
WARNING!
Filters are also mounted under pressure in the piston-rod collar, it is
therefore recommended to check that these are still in position and well
anchored to the collar, before operation.
