This appliance is a multifunctional appliance and is intended to be used for nonindustrial use in households and similar spheres of application. Use of the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose outlined in this user manual is a violation of operating instructions.

Do not use the appliance outdoors or in wet areas, to prevent appliance malfunction.
Follow the cleaning procedures as outlined in this user manual.
DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or other liquid! Failure to do so may cause the appliance to malfunction!
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Keep packaging (film, foam plastic, and others) out of reach of children as they may choke on them.
No modifications or adjustments to the product are allowed. All service and repair works should be carried out by an authorized service center. Failure to do so may result in device and property damage or injury. CAUTION! Do not use the appliance in case of any malfunctions.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Carefully remove the appliance and its accessories from the packaging. Dispose of all packaging materials. Keep all warning labels, including the serial number identification label located on the housing. After transportation or storage at low temperatures allow the appliance to stay at room temperature for at least 2 hours before using. Before use ensure that the battery is installed correctly with regard to polarity. Close the battery compartment cap.

CAUTION! Batteries, included in the set, are intended only for checking the appliance’s operational capability. For the extended operation of the appliance, it is recommended to purchase a new set. Installing the battery ensures that your hands and the unit are dry.

OPERATION

The Ready for Sky technology

The Ready for Sky technology enables to use of the software app of the same name to control the appliance remotely from a smartphone or tablet.

Download the software from the App Store or Google Play (depending on your operating system) onto your smartphone or tablet.
Open the Ready for Sky app, create an account, and follow the prompts that appear on the screen.
Enable the Bluetooth function on the mobile device.
Switch on the scales by pressing the button.
Open and update the list of appliances available for connection with the mobile device.
Select the connected appliance from the list of available devices.
To provide a stable connection the mobile device should be located within no more than 15 meters from the appliance.

Appliance use

Press the button. All indicators will be displayed, then 0 value and the measurement unit indicator will be displayed.
The default measurement unit is grams (g indicator). By pressing the UNIT button you can replace the measurement unit with ounces (oz indicator). Adjusted parameters are saved upon the subsequent weighting.
Fix the container onto the scales platform in which you plan to weigh a product. Press the TARE button to reset the container weight value. It is also possible to ignore the container weight by placing it to the scales platform for switching on the appliance. The weight value will be automatically reset to zero when scales are switched on.
Put the product into the container. Product mass will be displayed (excluding tare weight).
The scales will be automatically disabled in 5 minutes at the end of the operation. If necessary, they can also be disabled by pressing and holding the button for several seconds.
If the battery capacity is exhausted the low battery message Lo will be displayed.

Kitchen timer
REDMOND SkyScales RS-741S-E can also be used for tracking cooking time.

Press the button. The timer indicator and the time value of 00:00 in the «minutes: seconds» format are lit up solid on display.
Set the first symbol value by pressing the UNIT button. Press the button to confirm the value. Repeat the process for other symbols.
After setting the value until the last symbol and pressing the button the program will start to count down in 1-second increments. When the 00:00 value is reached an audible signal will be heard.
To return to the weighing mode press the button. To return to the timer mode press the button.
To disable an audible signal at the end of timer operation press the button.

Disabling audible signals
To disable audible signals during appliance operation press and hold down the UNIT button for several seconds. A double audible signal will be heard, after that audible indication will be disabled. To enable audible signals repress and hold the UNIT button.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Do not use abrasive or solvent-based cleaners, metal sponges, etc. Clean the platform with a soft damp cloth and wipe dry. DO NOT immerse the unit in water or wash under running water. The scale is not dishwasher safe. It is advised to remove the battery if the scale is not being in use for a long time. Store the assembled appliance in a dry, ventilated place away from heating appliances and direct sunlight. During transportation and storage, do not expose the device to mechanical stress, which may lead to damage of the device and/or violation of the package integrity. Keep the device package away from water and other liquids.

Environmentally-friendly disposal (WEEE)

The packaging, user manual, and the device itself shall be taken to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Do not throw away electronic waste to help protect the environment. Old appliances must not be disposed of with other household waste but must be collected separately. Municipal disposal of recyclable wastes is free of charge. The owners of old appliances are required to bring it to a waste facility center. With this little extra effort, you can help to ensure that valuable raw materials are recycled and pollutants are treated as appropriate.
