Please read the instructions carefully and completely before using the appliance.
Caution: Due to the high power of this steam iron please make sure that your mains supply is sufficient. Please contact your local electric power company to make sure that the so-called mains impedance is not higher than 0.350 Ohm.

Intended use
The appliance must be used only for ironing garments that are suitable for ironing according to the care label. Never iron or dampen garments while wearing them.
Start into Operation (for details refer to fi g. A)
Before start ironing follows the garment care label instructions carefully. Fabrics with this symbol are not ironable.
Settings (for details refer to fi g. B)
Steam
eco
It is suggested for most delicate garments like synthetics, silk, and blended
fabrics. This mode allows less power consumption.
Normal
It is suggested for garments like wool, polyester, and cotton/linen.
turbo (max steam)
It is suggested for garments that need more
powerful steam, like thick cotton/linen and jeans.

Descaling (for details refer to fi g. D)
Do not use commercial decalcifi ers, they may damage the iron. The frequency of
descaling depends on the hardness of the water, the quantity of steam used,
and the frequency and duration of ironing sessions.

Water droplets drip on the fabric during ironing| Press the water tank lid and
check if it is closed
Check that the temperature selector is at least on ••. Select a higher
temperature setting. Take longer intervals when pressing the steam shot
button.| Take longer intervals when pressing the steam shot button.
If chemicals have been put into the water tank, empty the water tank, rinse it
2-3 times.
The iron produces little or no steam| Check water level and refi ll tank
Perform descaling procedure
Check that the temperature selector is at least on ••.| Wait until the iron
heats up and the temperature control LED is permanently ON.
Check if the steam selector is set on a steam setting
Flakes and white impurities come out of the soleplate during ironing| Perform
the descaling procedure
The spray function or the steam shot do not work properly| Refi ll the water
tank
Soleplate is not heating up| Unplug the iron and plugin again. Rotate the
temperature selector from «min» to «max». Then select the desired
temperature.| Unplug the iron and plugin again.
The temperature control LED turns permanently on in red color| n/a| Unplug
the iron and plugin again. If the problem does not disappear contact Braun
customer service.
Water droplets drip from the soleplate after the iron has been unplugged or
has been stored| Set the steam regulator to « »
Empty the water tank after ironing and place the iron vertically on a stable
surface during cooling down
