INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ETCHING GEL VIDU is a thixotropic etching gel containing 37% phosphoric acid. Delivered in a 2ml-syringe with very thin application needles it can be applied very easily and safely on only those areas that are really desired to be etched.
INDICATION
ETCHING GEL VIDU is applied using the enamel-etch technique. Preparation of phosphoric etch syringe, Screw off the cap, and substitute by application needle. Note: The application needle might be bent in a slight arc, if desired, to facilitate application. Handling precaution: Squeeze out the first small drop on a pad to assure proper handling and to prevent “shooting” out of the etching gel by entrapped air.
APPLICATION OF PHOSPHORIC ETCH
Apply etching gel onto the enamel only, being sure to cover the bevels and
keep the acid from dentine. Leave the etching gel in place for 15 seconds. On
primary teeth high in fluoride, a
90-120 second etch is advised. Rinse for 20 seconds with water. Dry with oil
and water-free air. The etched enamel should have a chalky-white appearance.
ETCHING PRECAUTION
It is essential that the etched enamel is not contaminated by anything. If contamination occurs, re-etch, rinse with water, and dry as above. Please wear suitable protecting clothing, protecting gloves, and goggles. Avoid etching gel contact with oral soft tissues, eyes, and skin. If accidental contact occurs, flush immediately with copious amounts of water.
APPLICATION OF ADHESIVE
Apply the adhesive of your choice using a brush on the etched saliva-free and dried enamel surfaces according to the instructions of the manufacturer.
SIDE EFFECTS
No side effects are known to date. Hypersensitivity against components of the material cannot be excluded in every case. Avoid skin contact with the paste. In the event of inadvertent contact, wash immediately with soap and water. In the event of eye contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical treatment. If you experience any undesired effects, even in case of doubt, we ask for notification in every case, describing the concomitants and symptoms as detailed as possible.

PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
Observe the processing instructions in the Instructions for use included with the product and the Precautionary Measures under all circumstances. Should the patient still show an undesired reaction or if there are undesired effects, we ask for notification in every case, describing the concomitants as detailed as possible?
CONTRAINDICATION
Could lose linings if impacted too long. Do not use acid-sensitive linings.

Refer to manufacturer’s instructions for placements, curing, and finishing of restorative materials.
