  • Press with all of the fingertips.
  • An audio prompt is given when the button is pressed.
  • Keep the control panel clean and dry, and make sure it is not covered by utensils, or towels, etc. Even a thin film of water can make the control panel difficult to use.
    FIG. 4
Choice of utensil
  • Only use utensils suitable for induction hobs. Look for the induction symbol on the packaging or on the bottom of the utensil.

  • Test the utensil with a magnet. If the magnet sticks to the utensil it is suitable for an induction hob.
    FIG. 5

  • Pans made of aluminum, copper or high-alloy stainless steel are not suitable unless they have a magnetic bottom. Pars of glass, wood, porcelain, ceramic or stone are not suitable.

  • Do not use pans with uneven bottoms or sharp edges.
    FIG. 6

  • Check that bottom of the pan is flat and is flush with the glass hob, and also that the bottom has the same diameter as the hob. For best results use pans with the same or slightly larger diameter as the markings on the hob. Smaller pans produce inferior results. Pans with a diameter of less than 140 mm might not be detected.

  • Always center the pan on the hob.

Cooking tips
  • Fat and oil heats up very quickly and can start to burn at a high temperature.
  • Set a lower temperature when the food has started cooking.
  • Always use a lid to shorten the cooking time and save energy.
  • Use the minimum amount of liquid or fat to shorten the cooking time.
  • Start cooking at a high temperature and then lower the temperature when the food is hot.
Simmering, cooking rice
  • The temperature when simmering is about 85°C when only a small number of bubbles rise to the surface. Simmering produces good soups and tender casseroles by developing the flavor without overcooking. Egg or flour thickened sauces should also be cooked below boiling point.
  • Some cooking methods, such as cooking rice with absorption, can require a somewhat higher setting for the food to cook within the recommended time.
Frying

Follow the instructions below to cook juicy, tasty meat.

  1. Allow the meat to stand at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking.

  2. Heat up a thick-bottomed frying pan.

  3. Brush oil on both sides of the meat. Pour a little oil into the hot frying pan and put in the meat.

  4. Turn the meat just once during the cooking. The exact time depends on how thick the meat is and how well done you want it to be. The normal cooking time is about two
to eight minutes per side. Press the meat to determine how well done it is—the firmer it feels, the more well done it is.

  5. Leave the meat to rest on a warm plate for a few minutes before serving.

Sizzling/woking
  1. Use a large frying pan or wok pan suitable for an induction hob.
  2. Prepare all the ingredients and utensils so that they are ready to use. The cooking should be done quickly. Large amounts should be cooked in several batches.
  3. Preheat the pan quickly and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Cook meat first and keep it warm on the side.
  4. Sizzle the vegetables. When the vegetables are hot, but not soft, lower the temperature and put the meat back in the pan, adding sauce if required.
  5. Carefully stir so that all the ingredients become cooked.
  6. Serve immediately.
