SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
-
Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can result in the dust filter mask working less effectively, which can cause illness or death.
-
It is important to select the right dust filter mask. Consult an occupational hygienist or an environmental and safety representative to determine the suitability of the dust filter mask for the actual purpose.
-
Do not use the mask when the concentration of harmful substances signifies an immediate danger to health or life.
-
Leave the work area immediately and go into the fresh air, if:
— It is difficult to breathe.
— You become dizzy or experience another discomfort. -
Never modify the dust filter mask in any way.
-
Replace the dust filter mask immediately if it becomes difficult to breathe, if the mask is damaged, or if it cannot be made to fit properly.
-
For disposable use only. No maintenance is necessary. Discard the dust filter mask after using it during a shift.
-
The dust filter mask can cause an allergic reaction to skin contact. If an allergic reaction occurs, leave the contaminated area, remove the mask and seek medical attention.
NOTE:
The dust filter mask should only be used once and then discarded.
LIMITATIONS
-
Handle the dust filter mask with care and only use it in accordance with these instructions.
-
The dust filter mask does not supply the user with oxygen. The dust filter mask is not intended to be used in areas deficient in oxygen (oxygen content less than 19%) or areas containing a surplus of oxygen (higher than 23.5%).
-
The upper oxygen content limit is not absolute, but every increase in the content of oxygen in the air over the normal level increases the risk. An increase in the content of oxygen increases the risk of fire in the event of an electrostatic discharge or other sparking and increases the speed and intensity of the sequence.
-
Do not use the dust filter mask in an explosive environment, e.g. near flammable liquids, gas, or dust.
-
Do not use the dust filter mask in the following cases.
— If the concentration of contaminants is so high that it is acutely harmful to health or life-threatening.
– If the type or concentration of contaminants is unknown.
— If the concentration of contaminants is over 0.1 %. -
Always check the tightness of the mask, the filter, and valves before entering the contaminated area.
-
Beards and other facial hair under the sealing areas on the mask to the skin can reduce the sealing capacity.
