SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

  • Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
  • This product is for household only. Do not use for commercial or industrial purposes and do not use outdoors.
  • Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
  • Do not use the device if its cord or any other part is damaged. In this case, contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
  • Keep children away from the packaging materials. Risk of suffocation.
  • The appliance must be checked frequently for signs of wear or damage. If such signs are present, of if the appliance has been used improperly, contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec. Do not try to repair the device by yourself.
  • Switch off the device immediately in the event of defects or malfunctions.
  • Do not use accessories or parts that have not been provided by Cecotec.
  • Do not leave the device unattended while in use.
  • Do not try to open, disassemble or repair the product. There are no serviceable parts inside the device.
  • The device is exclusively designed for cutting natural hair. Do not use with artificial or animal hair.
  • Cecotec accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
  • Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Do not use the device if your head skin is damaged or suffers from any type of illness.
  • Turn off and unplug the device from the power supply before assembling or disassembling attachments. This appliance cannot be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge. Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance

BEFORE USE

  • Take the product out of the box.
  • Remove all packaging materials. Keep the original box.
  • Make sure all the components are included and in good conditions, otherwise, contact immediately the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
  • Fully charge the device for 90 minutes approx.
  • Oil the device’s blades before the first use.

OPERATION

  • Turn on the clipper with the on/off button.
    Note: An audible click may sometimes be heard when switching the equipment on, it is a result of the drive unit switching on. This is completely normal.

CHARGE

  • Turn the clipper off before connecting it to the charger and the power supply.
  • During charge, the plug icon will turn on red and the battery percentage will be displayed accordingly: 20-40-60-80-100.
  • When fully charged, it will display 10 in white.
  • The plug icon will flash in red when battery is low.
  • For a quick-charge, charge it 5 minutes and operate it for 3-5 minutes.

LOCK

The clipper includes a safety lock system.

  • Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to lock the device. The lock icon will turn on white.
  • Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to un lock the device. The lock icon will disappear from the display.
  • The device will also be unlocked when connected to the charger.

HOW TO ADJUST THE CUTTING LENGTH

  1. Blade-adjustment switch:
    The cutting length can be adjusted through the blade-adjustment switch during operation or before the appliance is switched on. Slide the switch to the right for shorter haircuts, or slide it to the left for longer-length haircuts (0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm).

  2. Clip-on guide comb

  • Depending on the type of haircut, the clipper can be operated with or without the comb attachment.
  • Place the clip-on guide comb onto the cutting edge of the cutting set and press it down until it clicks into position.
  • To remove the guide comb, pull from the tabs on both sides of the attachment and slide the comb out of the device.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Turn off and disconnect the device from the mains supply before cleaning, assembling or disassembling any of its parts.
  • Do not use compressed air, abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners to clean the product.
  • The clipper is waterproof, therefore can be washed with water, but do not immerse the appliance’s body in water or any other liquid. Do not use hot water.
  • Clean the clipper and the attachments after each use.
  • To clean the clipper blades, set the longer length adjustment and insert the cleaning brush bristles to remove clippings.
  • When any of the parts of the device are washed, dry them thoroughly before storing or using them again.
  • Do not wrap the cord around the device to store it. Oil the blades to ensure proper operating.

DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately. Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries

TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY
This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.
The warranty will not cover the following situations:

  • The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
  • The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
  • Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use. The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
