IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

  1. Do not use the appliance in any other way than as described in this manual.
  2. Remove all the packaging and marketing materials before first use.
  3. Observe the marked polarity of the batteries when inserting and replacing them.
  4. If you do not use the appliance for a long time, remove the battery from the appliance.
  5. Do not leave the appliance without supervision when used.
  6. Do not allow children or unauthorized people to handle the appliance, use it out of their reach.
  7. Persons with reduced mobility, reduced sensory perception, mental disadvantage or persons not familiar with the operation must use the appliance only under the supervision of responsible person, who is familiar with the instructions.
  8. Pay extra attention if the appliance is used near children.
  9. Do not allow the appliance to be used as a toy.
  10. Only use the appliance on a horizontal, stable surface.
  11. Before cleaning, installing and dismantling the appliance covers, switch off the appliance and remove the batteries
  12. Do not use coarse and chemically aggressive substances to clean the appliance.
  13. If the segments or digits are displayed incorrectly, try to reset the appliance. Remove the batteries, wait a  few seconds, and insert the battery again. If this does not work, contact your dealer or an authorized service centre.
  14. Do not use the appliance if it is not working properly, has been dropped, damaged or immersed in liquid. Have it checked and repaired by an authorized service centre.
  15. The appliance is only suitable for home use and is not intended for commercial use.
  16. Keep the appliance away from heat sources such as radiators, ovens, etc. Protect it from direct sunlight and humidity.
  17. Do not place the appliance in a microwave or other oven.
  18. Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
  19. The appliance is a fragile measuring device. Prevent shocks and falls.
  20. Do not repair the appliance yourself. Contact an authorized service centre.
  21. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a  safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the appliance and its power cord. Children shall not play with the appliance.

If you fail to follow these instructions, any possible repair cannot be recognized as a warranty repair.

INSTALLING BATTERIES

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the appliance.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment and close the cover properly. Use alkaline batteries.
  3. When the batteries are installed, time will appear on the display. Press the ON/ZERO button to enter the weighing function by pressing the SET/UNIT button.

WEIGHT UNIT SELECTION

Press the SET/UNIT button to select weighing unit: g, kg, oz, lb:oz, fl.oz (gram, kilogram, ounce, pound: ounce, fluid ounce).

WEIGHING

  1. Place the appliance on a horizontal, stable surface.
  2. Press the ON/ZERO button (2) to switch the appliance on.
  3. If you need to reset the display (3), press the ON/ZERO button (2) again.
  4. Place food or a container on the weighing area (1). Place food on the weighing area (1) evenly, do not place anything on its edge. The weighing result may be inaccurate and there is a risk of falling.
  5. If you are adding more food or need to eliminate the weight of the used container (tare function), press the ON/ZERO button (2) again to reset the display value (3).
  6. When the weighing is done, turn off the appliance by pressing the ON/ZERO button (2) or it will turn off automatically after 45 seconds and the time will appear on the display (3).

ADDITIONAL DISPLAYED INFORMATION

  • If “Lo” sign appears on the display (Fig. 1) or the display does not display anything after turning the appliance on, the batteries are flat and must be replaced with new ones.
  • If “EEEE” sign appears on the display (Fig. 2) the appliance has been overloaded and may be damaged. Immediately reduce the amount of food.

COUNTDOWN TIMER SETTING

  1. In the time display mode, press the SET/UNIT button to enter the countdown timer function, or press and hold the SET/UNIT button for 2 seconds. The default setting is 1 minute (Fig. 3).
  2. Press the SET/UNIT button to enter the countdown function. Press the ON/ZERO button to set minutes. Each time you press the SET/UNIT button, you will increase the countdown time by one minute (Fig. 4). Press and hold the SET/UNIT button, you can speed up the increasing of the countdown time.
  3. Press the ON/ZERO button to set seconds. Each time you press the SET/UNIT button, you will increase the countdown time by one second (Fig. 5). Press and hold the SET/UNIT button, you can speed up the increasing of the countdown time. Press the ON/ZERO button to start the countdown.

CANCELING COUNTDOWN TIMER

  1. During the countdown, press the SET/UNIT button to stop the countdown. Press the SET/UNIT button again to restart the countdown.
  2. During the countdown, press the SET/UNIT button to stop the countdown. Press the ON/ZERO button to reset the data.
    Press and hold the ON/ZERO button for 2 seconds and the time will appear on the display.

AUDIO SIGNALISATION

A sound signal appears when the countdown is complete. The sound signal takes one minute.
Press the SET/UNIT button again to restart the countdown. Press the ON/ZERO button to reset the original values.

TIME SETTING

  1. When the batteries are installed, time will appear on the display.
  2. Press and hold the SET/UNIT button for 2 seconds to set the clock. Each time you press the SET/UNIT button, one hour will be add (the 12 will switch to the 24 hour time format).
  3. Press the ON/ZERO button to set the minutes. Each time you press the SET/UNIT button, one minute will be add.
  4. Press the ON/ZERO button to complete the setting.

Switching between the 12 and 24 hour time format:

Enter the time setting mode.
For example if you want to set time for 11:00 at night, select the 12 hour time format.
For example if you want to set time for 23:00 at night, select the 24 hour time format.

IMPORTANT

  1. Place the scale on a flat and dry work area.
  2. The weighing range is 3 g – 15 kg.
  3. This scale is a highly accurate electronic device. Be careful not to drop it or make too much pressure on it, it may get damaged.
  4. To clean the surface use a soft cloth, never use any chemical solution.
  5. The appliance is intended for home use only. Never use a force on the scale to avoid damage.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • To clean the surface of the appliance, use only a damp cloth, no detergents or hard objects, as they can damage the surface of the appliance!
  • Never clean the appliance under running water, do not rinse it or immerse it in water or any liquid!
  • Store the appliance in a dry place!

SERVICE CENTRE

Extensive maintenance or repair, which requires access to internal parts of the product, has to be performed by a qualified service centre.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

  • Prefer recycling of packaging materials and old appliances.
  • Packaging materials may be disposed of as sorted waste.
  • Dispose the plastic bags made of polyethylene (PE) of as sorted waste

Recycling of the appliance at the end of its lifespan

This appliance is labelled in accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU concerning used electrical and electronic appliances (waste electrical and electronic equipment- WEEE). The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it should be taken to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. The disposal of such material has to be done according to the recycling regulations. For more detailed information about recycling of this appliance see the authorized local office or service for household waste disposal or the shop, where you purchased the appliance.

Disposal of batteries and power supplies

If the appliance contains an accumulator or a battery cell, these components contain substances which, may be harmful to the environment when disintegrated. Before disposing of the appliance or replacing the accumulator or the battery cell, it is necessary to remove the original component and hand over to a suitable collection point.

Caution!

  • Accumulator or battery cell:
  • Do not throw into a fire!
  • Never disassemble!
  • Never shorten the wires! if leakage occurs when the accumulator is damaged, the electrolyte is of an alkaline character. If the electrolyte gets on your skin, wash it gently with soap and water and seek medical attention.
