CARE & MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT
DO NOT STORE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT!
Damage resulting from heat is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty!
Never leave the paddleboard exposed to direct sunlight when out of the water.
Always keep in the shade when not in the water. If you must expose your board
to direct sunlight during transport or temporary storage, it is safest to keep
the (bottom) facing up. Prolonged exposure to the sun, even while
paddleboarding, may impact the integrity of the board materials.
RECOMMENDED PRESSURE 15 PSI
iROCKER boards can hold up to 25 PSI; however, the recommended PSI is 15 PSI.
The board will remain rigid at 15 PSI and no further benefit is gained when
inflating over 15PSI. Overinflation to 25 PSI while in a cold environment, may
result in damage when placed in direct sunlight. An increase in solar energy
within the board, may cause
overinflation and damage the seams, voiding the warranty.
PUMP MAINTENANCE
Over time, the pump may naturally lose lubrication and you may need to
reapply.
Recommended agent: white lithium grease.
To lubricate:
- Open the top and pull out plunger.
- Spread a thin layer of lubricant on the black gasket on the bottom of the plunger and then reassemble.
Regularly clean the air filter located under the pressure gauge. The gauge unscrews from the top by hand.
BOARD MAINTENANCE
Sun, sand, and saltwater will degrade any man-made material over time. Rinse
off sand and saltwater deposits from your paddleboard with fresh water and
store them in a cool, dry environment after each use.
Wash with soap and water with each use. Allow carry handles to dry completely
prior to storing for a prolonged storage period.
TRANSPORT GUIDELINES
Do not transport an inflated paddleboard on top of a vehicle.
This inflatable board is designed to be compact for convenient storage & travel. Due to a lack of weight when inflated, they will travel poorly when strapped to a vehicle rooftop.
| Damages or warping incurred by improper transport is not covered by the
manufacturer’s warranty!
---|---
| When transporting the board, be sure to keep clear any sharp objects.
Punctures are not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty!
Keep the board clear of any heat-producing items such as camp stoves, propane
lamps, etc. Damages resulting from heat are not covered by the manufacturer’s
warranty!
| Allow the board to completely dry before tightly rolling for packing. Excess
moisture may cause mildew or mold damage.
When rolling the board, make sure the valve is open and start at the nose.
Roll in a tight straight roll. Then close the valve and wrap the strap around
your roll.
| AVOID standing the rolled board up on its side on rough services such as
concrete or rocks. This can cause damage to the first layer of your rail.
WATER SAFETY GUIDELINES
IMPORTANT
| ALWAYS WEAR A COAST GUARD-APPROVED PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE (PFD).
---|---
| NEVER GO PADDLEBOARDING IN SEVERE WEATHER OR WATER CONDITIONS THAT MIGHT
AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO STEER THE BOARD OR RETURN TO SHORE.
| NEVER ALLOW MINORS TO USE THIS BOARD WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION.
| NEVER CONSUME ALCOHOL OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCE THAT MAY IMPAIR YOUR
COORDINATION, JUDGEMENT, OR ABILITY TO SAFELY PADDLE THE BOARD.
| NEVER USE THIS BOARD BEYOND YOUR SKILLS OR ABILITY.
| NEVER USE THIS PRODUCT AFTER SUNSET, BEFORE DAWN, OR AT ANY TIME IN POOR
LIGHTING.
| CHECK LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS REGARDING THE PROPER AND SAFE USE OF THIS
PRODUCT.
INFLATING & DEFLATING
BOARD INFLATION
∝Fasten air hose to pump.
∝Locate the air valve on the tail section of the board deck.
∝Open valve cover.
∝Make sure the inner valve is disengaged in the”UP” position.
∝Connect a hose to the air valve.
∝Set Action Control setting on the pump to 1 and begin pumping.
∝Once the board has inflated midway, switch to setting 2.
∝For final inflation, switch to setting3, to pump to max PSI.
∝Inflate board to 14-15 PSI.
∝Disconnect the air hose from the valve. Inner valve will prevent air from
escaping when disengaged in the “UP” position.
|
---|---
Generally, the pressure gauge will start to register a pressure reading after about 150 pumps. The board should take about 250 pumps to achieve 15 PSI. To start pumping make sure the action control setting is set to the 1 position on the pump. At approximately 100 pumps the handle will become more difficult to lift up, at this point switch the action control setting to the 2 positions and continue pumping. When the pumping becomes even more difficult, around 10 psi, switch the action control setting to position 3. Continue pumping until 15 psi is achieved.
INNER VALVE POSITIONING
The inner valve will prevent air from escaping when disengaged (“UP”
position).
BOARDDEFLATION
- Open valve cover.
- Depress inner valve and twist to lock in the open or “down” position.
- Allow air to freely escape the board Beginning at the nose, tightly roll up the board to force the remaining air through the air valve.
INNER VALVE DISENGAGED (UP POSITION) AIR PREVENTED FROM LEAVING SUP.
INNERVALVEENGAGED(DOWN POSITION) AIR ESCAPES FREELY FROM SUP.
FIN INSTALLATION
Your board will come with two smaller side fins and one larger middle fin. Insert fin into a notched section of fin box first, then rock fin towards the rear of the board until fin is seated completely in the fin box. Lock the fin into place by flipping the lever lock down into the locking position. Repeat steps for2outer fins. Always test to make sure all fins are secured before paddling.
ADJUSTABLE TRAVEL PADDLE
PADDLE ASSEMBLY
For carrying convenience, the paddle can be separated into 3 smaller sections.
. Please DO NOT remove styrofoam, it allows the paddle to float.
Adjustable locking mechanism for the extendable handle.
Be careful to not pinch your fingertips when connecting the two paddle shafts.
IMPORTANT
We recommend rinsing the paddle with fresh water after every use and removing
upper shaft to dry.
PADDLE CLAMP ASSEMBLY
Pull open the C clamp mechanism by grabbing the notched sides and pulling
firmly towards you. Apply gentle pressure, pressing the C clamp shut.
ACTION MOUNT USAGE
This year’s model has a total of 8 action mounts making it possible to deck
your board with all the coolest gear.
All action mounts have an M8thread.
Simply screw gear into the mount after inflation and remove it before
deflation.
Check out our Gear Page on
www.iROCKERSUP.COM to see all
ouraction items.
Hand Tighten Only.
Damage can occur if overtightened.
RACK MOUNT USAGE
THE BLACKFIN BOARD HAS AN EXCLUSIVE FISHING RACK MOUNT.
The fishing rack inserts into 2 fishing rack mounts that must first be installed onto the board. Each fishing rack mount screws into 4 points on the board.
REPAIR KIT CONTENTS & APPLICATION
REPAIRING LEAKS & TEARS
The board comes equipped with an emergency repair kit for small leaks or
tears. It includes a wrench and repair patches.
Repair glue is not included for shipping reasons but can be located on our
website.
The wrench included in the repair kit should ONLY be used for leaking valves
and should NEVER be used as a means to deflate the board.
DIRECTIONS FOR REPAIR KITUSE
- Completely deflate the paddleboard.
- Thoroughly clean the surface around the leak and the matte side of the patch with rubbing alcohol. Both surfaces must be free of moisture, oil, and debris.
- Apply glue (not included)carefully and evenly to both the paddleboard surface and the matte side of the patch.
- Apply a thin layer of glue across the entire patch. Best practice is to seal the patch to the board by using a clamp, leaving the clamp in place for 12-24 hours.
- Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours before using the paddleboard.
