GRUNDIG HD 2509 R Travel Hair Dryer

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Dry the hair
  • Fold out the handle
  • If necessary change the mains voltage setting (115 = 115 – 120 V˜, 230 = 230 – 240 V˜)
  • Dual Voltage Function

Warning:

  1.  Before each and every use, please make sure that the voltage selector is under the correct voltage position according to different countries’ voltage usage situations. For instance, the voltage selector should be pointed to the 230V mark when the product is used in EU countries.
  2. If want to adjust the voltage, the voltage selector should be twisted clockwise from 230V to 115V, or anti-clockwise from 115V to 230V.
  • Connect
  • Align the concentrator nozzle
  • Setting temperature I = approx. 70 °C / II = approx. 80 °C
  • Dry the hair
  • Switch off

SAFETY

Please note the following informa-tion when using the appliance:

  • The appliance is designed for domestic use only.
  • Never use the appliance in the bathtub, shower or over a washbasin filled with water; nor should it be operated with wet hands.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or let it come into contact with water, even during cleaning.
  • Do not use the appliance near water in bathtubs, washbasins or others.
  • If the appliance is used in the bathroom, always pull out the mains plug after use, as water near the appliance can still constitute a danger, even if it is switched off.
  • If not already present, for additional protection it is recommended to install a residual-current-operated protective device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit of your bathroom. Ask your plumber for advice.
  • Never place the appliance on soft cushions or blankets during operation.
  • Ensure that the air induction and output openings are not covered during operation.
  • The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection system.
  • Pull out the mains plug after use. Do not pull out the plug by pulling on the cable.
  • Do not use the appliance if the mains cable is damaged or the appliance itself is visibly damaged.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service center or a similarly qualified person to prevent danger arising.
  • Keep the appliance away from children.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Never open the appliance under any circumstances. No warranty claims are accepted for damage resulting from improper handling.

Cleaning and care

  1. Pull the plug out before cleaning.
  2. Never submerge the appliance in water.
  3. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the housing. Clean the air inlet grille occasionally with a soft brush to remove hairs and dust.

Storage
Store the appliance carefully if you do not want to use it for a long time.

  1. Make sure it is unplugged, has completely cooled down and is completely dry.
  2. Store it in its original box in a cool, dry place. Do not wind the power cord around the appliance.
  3. Make sure the appliance is kept out of reach of children.
