Data Protection During the use of the device, personal data will be collected, stored, and processed. To protect data, the development of Hikvision devices incorporates privacy by design principles. For example, for a device with facial recognition features, biometrics data is stored in your device with an encryption method; for a fingerprint device, only a fingerprint template will be saved, which is impossible to reconstruct a fingerprint image. As a data controller, you are advised to collect, store, process and transfer data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations, including without limitation, conducting security controls to safeguard personal data, such as, implementing reasonable administrative and physical security controls, conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the effecveness of your security controls. Installation

Installavironment:
Indoor and outdoor installae supported.
If installing the device outdoors, you should apply Silicone sealant among the cable wiring area to keep the raindrop from entering.

Before you start:
According to the baseline on the contemplate, semplate on the wall or other surface, 1.4 meters higher than the ground.
**** Make sure the output of external power supply fulfils LPS.

  1. Drill holes on the wall or other surface according to the mounting plate and install the gang box.

  2. Use two supplied screws(4_KA4x22-SUS) to secure the mount on the gang box.
    Use another four supplied screws to secure the mount on the wall.
    Route the cables through the cable hole of the mount, and connect to the corresponding external device’s cables.
    **** Apply Silicone sealant among the cable wiring area to keep the raindrop from entering.

  3. Insert the fingerprint module into the holes at the boom of the main part.

  4. Align the device with the mount and hang the terminal on the mount.

  5. Make sure the two sheets on each side of the mounting plate have been in the holes at the back of the device.
    Use two supplied screws (SC-M4x12TP10-SUS) to secure the device and the mouse.

  6. After install the proper use of the device (outdoor use), some supplied) on the screen.

  • ****The installation here is the recommended height. You can change it according to your actual needs.
  • You can also install the device on the wall or other places without the gang box. For details, refer to the User Manual.
  • For easy installable according to the supplied contemplate.
  • You should purchase the gang box separately.

Wiring (Normal)

  • ****When cone contact and exit button, the device, and the RS-485 card reader should use the same common ground connect
  • The Wiegand terminal here is a Wiegand input terminal. You should set the device’s Wiegand direct “input”. If you should connect to an access controller, you should set the Wiegand direct “Output”. For details, see the user manual.
  • The suggested external power supply for door lock is 12 V, 1 A.
  • The suggested external power supply for the Wiegand card reader is 12 V, 1 A.
  • For wiring, the fire system, see the user manual.
  • Do not wire the device to the electric supply directly.

2.2 Device Wiring (With Secure Door Control Unit

  • ****The secure door control unit should connect to an external power supply separately. The suggested external power supply is 12 V, 0.5 A.
  • For scenarios with high safety requirements, use the secure door control unit wiring first.
  • You can ask technical support to purchasing for the secure door control unit separately.

Quick Operation

  • Activation
    Power on and wire the network cable after installation. You should activate the device before the first login. If the device is not activated yet, it will enter the Activate Device page after powering on.
    Step:
    1. Create a password and confirm the password.
    2. Tap Activate to activate the device.

**For other activation methods, see the device user manual. admin or minda are not supported for the activation password.
Steps Afterwards**
After activating, you can select language, set password change type, set reserved questions, set application mode, set network parameters, access to Hik-Connect, set privacy, and set administrator.

**** STRONG PASSWORD RECOMMENDED-We highly recommend you create a strong password of your own choosing(using a minimum of 8 characters, including upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters) in order to increase the security of your product. And we recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in the high-security system, resetting the password. monthly or weekly can better protect your product. ,

Add Face Picture

  1. Use finger to hold the screen surface for 3 s and slide to right/and enter the card to enter the Home page.

  2. Enter the User Management page, tap + to enter the Add User page.

  3. Set the user parameters according to actual needs. Only the device with the fingerprint module supports the fingerprint related func

  4. Tap Face and add the face informaording to the instructor You can view the captured picture on the screen, Make sure the face picture is in good quality and size.

  6. Tap the save icon to save these Go back to the indie to start Athena For other authentic Use other authenticated by the light or other items.

Tips When Collec/Comparing Face Picture

Expression

  • Keep your expression naturally when collecting or comparing face pictures, just like the expression in the picture on the right.
  • Do not wear a hat, sunglasses, or other accessories that can affect the facial recogni
  • Do not make your hair cover your eyes, ears, etc., and heavy makeup is not allowed.

Posture
In order to get good quality and accurate face picture, post your face looking at the camera when collecting or comparing face pictures.

Size
Make sure your face is in the middle of the collec.
