POWER ADAPTOR:

Used to connect to mains power. Use the supplied 12V PSU.

HEADPHONES/AUDIO OUTPUT:
Stereo 3.5mm output to connect to external stereo amplifier or headphones.
Connecting headphones will automatically mute the loudspeakers, ideal for quiet practice.

AUDIO INPUT:
Stereo 3.5mm input to connect sources of music such as MP3 players, smartphones, and computer audio outputs. Music from your device will be played through the keyboard speakers so that you can play along. The volume of the music is controlled by your device.

MICROPHONE INPUT:
Connect the supplied microphone to the Mic input. Singing or speech will come through the keyboard’s speakers.

U-DISK INPUT:
The USB Music Player allows you to play MP3 music via the UDISK socket. This keyboard can support memory sticks up to 32GB in size. Use the controls in the USB Music Player panel to play/pause, stop, control volume, go to the previous or next track, and to cycle through the repeat modes for continuous, random, or single song playback.
The [EFFECT] button provides a set of 5 effects that modify the sound output, scrolling between Common, Pop, Rock, Jazz, and Classical. The default setting is Common.

WARNING!
To prevent damage to your hearing, speakers, and other audio equipment, reduce the volume and have the power off before connecting to any other equipment.

POWER:
Press the power [On/Off] button to turn the keyboard on or off. When powered on, the key lights will light up from both sides. The display will show the current tone and tempo.

MASTER VOLUME:
Control the master volume by pressing the
[MASTER VOL +/-] controls. “VOLUME” and the current volume level will be shown on the display. Press +/- simultaneously to reset to the default level.

ACCOMPANIMENT VOLUME:
Control the accompaniment volume by pressing the [ACCOM VOL +/-] controls. “RC VOLUME” and the current volume level will be shown on the display. Press +/- simultaneously to reset to the default level.

KEY LIGHTING:
The keyboard has an in-built key light function designed to assist with learning. This feature can be turned on/off using the [KEY LIGHTING] button.

TIMBRE SELECTION:
Select from 255 different timbres, from 000 to 254. When the instrument is switched on, the timbre selection function will automatically be enabled. “TONE” and the current timbre number will be shown on the display.
The default tone will be “000 Acoustic Grand Piano” and can be adjusted by pressing the corresponding number buttons or pressing the [+/-] controls on the number keypad.
When using other functions, press [TIMBRE] to return to/enable the timbre select function.

PERCUSSION SOUNDS:
There are 61 percussion sounds on the MK-3000, accessed by pressing the [KEYBOARD PERCUSSION] button. When using this mode, the keyboard will produce percussion sounds as indicated by the symbols above the relevant keys. Press the [KEYBOARD PERCUSSION] button again to return to normal keyboard operation.

DEMO SONGS:
The MK-3000 has 50 demo songs, from 000 to 049, accessed by pressing the [DEMO SONG] button. The demo songs will play in order, with the key lighting feature flashing to the melody. “SONG” and the current demo song number will be shown on the display. Press the [+/-] buttons on the keypad to select different demo songs. To select different timbres to play the demo song, press [TIMBRE] whilst a demo song is playing. “TONE” will be shown on the display and pressing the numbers on the keypad or the [+/-] buttons within 3 seconds will allow different voices to be selected.

RHYTHM SELECTION:
Select from 255 different rhythms, from 000 to 254. Press [RHYTHM] to enable this function. “RHYM” and the current rhythm number will be shown on the display. The default rhythm will be “000 Hard Rock” and can be adjusted by pressing the corresponding number buttons or pressing the [+/-] controls on the number keypad. When using other functions, press [RHYTHM] to return to/enable the rhythm select.

RHYTHM CONTROL:
Press [START/STOP] to start and stop an accompaniment rhythm.
The keyboard can also be set to begin playing the rhythm accompaniment as you start to play the keyboard. To do this, press [SYNC] button. “SYN” will be shown on the display and the 4 beat points will flash simultaneously. Playing any key in the “chord zone” (left-hand 19 keys) will start the selected rhythm accompaniment.
Pressing the [FILL IN] button allows you to momentarily change the rhythm pattern to add variety to your performance and can be pressed at any time when a rhythm accompaniment is being played. To stop the selected rhythm, press [START/STOP] at any time.

METRONOME:
The MK-3000 has an in-built metronome feature that can be started and stopped by pressing the [METRONOME] button. Press the [METRONOME] button continuously to select between the four different time signatures
(1/4, 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4).

TEMPO ADJUST:
Press [TEMPO +/-] to increase or decrease the rhythm speed. Press the [+/-] buttons simultaneously to reset to the default value.

SINGLE KEY AUTO BASS CHORD:

When the rhythm function is enabled, pressing [SINGLE CHORD] allows you to play chords using only a single key in the “chord zone” of the keyboard (left- hand 19 keys). These chords are displayed in the table below. “SIN” will be shown on the display.Gear4music-MK-3000-61-Key-Electronic-Keyboard-

When the rhythm function is enabled, pressing [FINGERED CHORD] will allow you to play  a fingered chord in the “chord zone” of the keyboard (left-hand 19 keys) as displayed in the table below. “FIN” will be shown on the

The fingering for C-root chords is shown below:

  • Press [CHORD OFF] to disable the single key and fingered chord functions.
  • During either single key chord or fingered chord accompaniment, you can press [CHORD TIMBRE] to change the chord tone. Pressing
    [CHORD TIMBRE] again will revert back to the original chord tone.

TRANSPOSE:

  • This function allows you to shift the overall key of the keyboard in steps of one semitone. The range is +/- 6 semitones. Press the [TRANSPOSE+] and [TRANSPOSE-] controls to increase or decrease by one semi-tone as
  • required. Holding both these buttons down simultaneously will return to the default pitch.

SUSTAIN:
Note sustain can be added by pressing the [SUSTAIN] button. “SUS” will be shown on the display when this effect is turned on. Pressing [SUSTAIN] again will disable the effect.

VIBRATO:
Press [VIBRATO] to add a vibrato effect to the notes being played. “VIB” will be shown on the display when this effect is turned on. Pressing [VIBRATO] again will disable the effect.

SPLIT:

  • This feature allows the keyboard to effectively be split (after 24 left-hand keys) and the same octaves played on both the left and right-hand side of the keyboard. This function is ideal for tuition purposes allowing both the teacher and player to play the same melodies simultaneously.
  • To enable this mode, press the [SPLIT] button. “SPLIT” will be shown on the display. Pressing [SPLIT] again will disable the effect and return to the default mode.

RECORDING:

  • To record your playing press [REC] to enable the recording function. “REC” will be shown on the display and all notes recorded.
  • Press [PLAY] to playback the recorded notes. “PLAY” will be shown on the display. When playback is finished, recording mode will be automatically be activated and “REC” will again show on the display.
  • Press [START/STOP] or press [REC] again to disable the recording function and clear the recorded material.

  • Press [PROG] to enable the rhythm programming function. “PRG” will be shown on the display and the keyboard percussion sounds activated, allowing you to create custom rhythms by playing the corresponding percussion keys.

  • Press [START/STOP] or press [PROG] to disable the programming function and clear the programmed material.

KEY LIGHTING INTELLIGENT TRAINING

Training 1: One Key

  • Press [ONE KEY] to enable the One Key training function.
  • “LEARN SONG” and the song number will be shown on the display. Press [+/-] buttons to select the song to be learnt.
  • Press [PLAY] and the keys will light up according to the main melody notes, indicating the note to be played.
  • This training mode allows for mistakes when playing. The correct keys will still light up and the correct notes will be shown on the display screen.
  • After the song is finished, press [START/STOP] or [ONE KEY] to exit the training function.

Training 2: Follow

  • Press [FOLLOW] to enable the Follow training function.
  • “LEARN SONG” and the song number will be shown on the display screen. Press [+/-] buttons to select the song to be learnt.
  • Press [PLAY] and the keys will light up according to the main melody notes, indicating the note to be played, which can also be followed by the guidance on the note indicators on the display screen. The keyboard will wait for you to play the correct note before it moves to the next one.
  • Please note: In this training mode the keyboard only sounds the correct notes and gives no response to the wrong notes.
  • After the song is finished, press [START/STOP] or [FOLLOW] to exit the training function.

Training 3: Ensemble

  • Press [ENSEMBLE] to enable the Ensemble training function.
  • “LEARN SONG” and the song number will be shown on the display screen. Press [+/-] buttons to select the song to be learnt.
  • Press [PLAY] and the keys will light up according to the main melody notes, indicating the note to be played. In this training mode, if you fail to play the correct note within 3 seconds, the keyboard will automatically play the note, and it will be indicated on the note indicators on the display screen.
  • After the song is finished, press [START/STOP] or [ENSEMBLE] to exit the training function.

MEMORY FUNCTION

The keyboard allows you to save your favorite tone, rhythm, tempo, and other effects to 3 memory banks, which can be recalled at any time during playing. Set your tone, rhythm and tempo preferences as required, and then press both the [MEMORY] button and the desired memory bank button [M1], [M2], or [M3] to save your settings. Recall the saved settings by simply pressing either the [M1], [M2] or [M3] buttons as required.
