PARTS IDENTIFICATION

GAS LEAK TESTING

GAS LEAK TEST INSTRUCTIONS
Note: The gas leak test must be performed in an area that has adequate lighting in order to see if bubbles are developing. DO NOT use a flashlight to check for bubbbles.

  1. Create a mixture of 50% water and 50% liquid dishwashing soap.
  2. Turn the gas cylinder valve to the OFF position (clockwise). Then turn regulator valve to OFF position.
  3. To turn ON the fuel supply, turn the cylinder valve knob one turn counter-clockwise. Gas will flow through and stop at the closed regulator valve.
  4. Using a clean brush, apply the soap water mixture to the following:
  5. Cylinder Valve to Cylinder
  6. Connection Nut to Cylinder Valve
  7. Back side of Connection
  8. Nut to Brass Nipple Brass
  9. Valve next to Regulator, or on Regulator
  10. Regulator connection to Gas
  11. Supply Hose Propane Cylinder Welds
  12. Full length of Gas Supply Hose
  13. Gas Supply Hose connection to Burner
  14. Check areas A-F for bubble formation, which indicate a leak.
  15. Next, turn ON regulator valve to permit gas to pass through the hose. Apply soap water mixture to full length of gas supply hose and connection to burner assembly. Check each place for growing bubbles, G & H, which indicates a leak.
  16. Turn OFF gas supply valve (clockwise) on propane Gas Cylinder.
  17. Turn regulator valve to OFF position.
  18. Tighten any leaking connections.
  19. Repeat soap water mixture test until no leaks are detected. DO NOT use cooker if gas leaks cannot be stopped. For assistance contact a qualified appliance repair service.
  20. After you are certain there are no leaks, turn tank valve and regulator valve to OFF position. Wait 5 minutes for any gas fumes to evacuate before lighting the burner.

OPERATION

  1. Place burner on a level and stable surface.
  2. Make sure there is propane in the tank and it is turned off, connect propane tank and stove with regulator and hose.
  3. Make sure air dampers A & B can move.
  4. Make sure controlling knobs C can move and it is in off position.
  5. Slowly open propane tank valve and check for leaks by applying small amount of liquid soap and looking for bubbles to appear. If you smell gas, TURN OFF propane valve.
  6. Open the gas tank valve slowly.
  7. Press the knob of the burner with your hand and turn to on position, when you hear the click light your fire with a match or a lighter.
  8. Slowly adjust the air damper (A & B) until burner has blue flame, some yellow tipping of the flame is normal.

NOTICE
If you smell the gas while using, you must cut down the master valve and the button of the stove. Check the tube and the connector to find the reason. You can use the stove again after you fix the problem.

CLEANING

  1. Allow burners and steel grate to cool completely.
  2. Turn valve on propane tank to the OFF position.
  3. Remove propane hose from tank and stove.
  4. Stove may be wiped down with soap and warm water.
  5. Allow stove to dry thoroughly before storage.
  6. Never store stove with propane hose attached.
  7. No other maintenance is necessary.

STORAGE

  1. DO NOT leave propane cylinder attached to stove during storage or transport.
  2. Wipe the burners, steel cooking grate, and propane hose before storing.
  3. It is suggested to store stove and hose in a nylon storage bag to keep it clean.

FOR YOUR SAFETY
Do not store or use gasoline or other liquids with flammable vapors in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.

IF YOU SMELL GAS:

  1. Do Not attempt to light appliance.
  2. Extingusih any open flame.
  3. Diaconnect from fuel supply.

CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD
This appliance can produce carbon monoxide which has no odor. Using it in an enclosed space can kill you. Never use this appliance in an enclosed space such as a camper, tent, car or home.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS & WARNINGS

Outdoor gas appliances do not have automatic thermostat controls so must be attended and monitored at all times during use.

Failure to follow these instructions could result in fire or explosion which could cause property damage, personal injury or death!

Remember: Think Safety and Use Common Sense!

ATTENTION:
Propane Tanks, and outdoor gas appliances, come equipped with a safety device that restricts the flow of gas should the hose be cut or severed. While the safety device protects the operator, it can sometimes impair lighting the cooker. To reduce trouble lighting the cooker, always turn Regulator Control Knob/Valve to OFF position after every use!

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

SYMPTOM CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION

Do not use the appliance if gas leaks cannot be stopped.
