Product Usage Instructions
- Place both earbuds in the charging case.
- Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port on the case.
- Check the LED indicator to monitor the battery status.
- To adjust the sound, tap on the earbuds or swipe up.
- To accept an incoming call, tap once.
- To decline a call, swipe down.
- Use voice assistant by tapping twice.
- To end an active call, tap thrice.

Audio properties and hearing precautions
- To prevent possible hearing damage, do not use your Fairbuds at high volume levels for prolonged periods.
Charging and Battery
- Charge your Fairbuds with a USB type C cable and USB-compatible charger (5V DC, 1A). Only charge your Fairbuds using a cable or charger that follows the IEC/EN 62684, IEC/EN 62680-1-2, and IEC/EN 62680-1-3 standards, like the one you can find on shop.fairphone.com/shop/category/accessories-5. Failure to use compatible charging accessories can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories. Using damaged cables or chargers, or charging when moisture is present, can cause electric shock.
- Only use a PC as a source of energy for charging if you are already using the PC for another use, to reduce energy consumption during charging.
- Icon 1 on page 6 indicates a separate collection for batteries. Please consult your municipality’s website should you need further clarification on the separate waste recycling program.

BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS
- Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, that can result in an explosion.
- Leaving a battery in an extremely high-temperature surrounding environment can result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
- Your battery is a lithium-ion battery. Please do not puncture or damage the battery as it has a risk of explosion. Do not use this battery at high temperatures or expose it to excessive heat, as sustained exposure to high (or low) temperatures may affect the
- Fairbuds operations. Keep your Fairbuds in a well-ventilated area when using or charging it. Use your device within the temperature range of -10 °C to +40 °C. Do not charge the device when the environment temperature is below 0 °C or above +40 °C.
- If you need to replace your battery, ensure that it is an original Fairbuds. Fairphone only supports and takes responsibility for batteries conforming with the model number AUFBAT-1 / LIR1054, like the one you can find on https://shop.fairphone.com/en/spare-parts. Do not use any other battery as it may pose a risk to your device and your health and safety.

Maintenance, care and storage
- To keep your Fairbuds clean, you can use a cloth to wipe away dust and oil.
- Don’t use aerosol sprays, solvents, or abrasives.
- Store your Fairbuds in the protective pouch that is provided.
- Do not store other items in the case provided.
- Ensure you store in a clean, dry place.
- Avoid storing them in direct sunlight or in extreme heat or cold.
Skin Irritations
To avoid skin irritation and damage to your Fairbuds, avoid usage after
exposure to liquids such as soap, shampoo, makeup, sunscreen, lotions, and any
other irritants that can potentially cause skin irritation. If you experience
redness, swelling, itchiness, or any other irritation, we recommend that you
stop using your Fairbuds and that you may want to consult your physician
immediately and please contact us at

Situational Safety
- Using your Fairbuds in some circumstances may distract you and might cause a dangerous situation (for example, while driving a car).
- Ensure that you are aware of the road safety rules in your area and the specific prohibition or restriction on the use of earbuds (e.g. in hospitals or on airplanes).
Medical devices
- Your Fairbuds contain magnetic material. Consult your physician on whether this might affect your implantable medical device.
Disposal
- Please do not dispose of your Fairbuds with household waste. Icon 1 on page 6 indicates a separate waste collection for batteries.
- When this product or its battery reaches its end of life, take it to a collection point designated by local authorities for safe disposal or recycling. Please consult your municipality website should you need further clarification on the separate waste recycling program.
Warranty
- This product is covered by the Fairphone Warranty.
- The Fairphone Warranty is a manufacturer warranty covering any manufacturing defects, including improper or inferior workmanship to materials, and design during the designated warranty period of 24 months for the earbuds.
- This warranty does not include malfunctions or defects as a result of improper handling or normal wear and tear.
