Introduction

Thank you for choosing the wireless door chime. Please read this instruction carefully before assembling and using the product. Keep your owner’s manual for future reference.

Safety instructions

  1. Please install your doorbell according to this manual to avoid any malfunction or damage.
  2. The plug-in chime is designed for indoor use only.
  3. The plug-in chime is not user-serviceable, there is a danger of electric shock if opened.
  4. Use: only high-quality alkaline battery. Using poor-quality batteries will reduce the maximum range.
  5. Do not expose either unit directly to rain/dripping or Immerse In Water.
  6. Do not mount either unit close to a fireplace or expose it to high temperatures.
  7. Never use any cleaning chemicals or wet cloth to clean the unit. Only use a dry, clean, and soft cloth/microfiber doth.
  8. Do not position the push button onto any metal surface or UPVC door frames, as this will reduce the operating range.
  9. If not using the plug-in chime for long periods, unplug it from the socket and remove the battery from the push button to prevent leakage.
  10. Dispose of old battery In accordance with relevant legislation.

Getting to know your plug-in chime and push button

Installation

Installing battery
The Push-button uses a 12 V 23 A battery (included). The battery has already been put on the push button. All you have to do is move the battery’s insulating piece away. If the battery runs out, you need to replace the battery as below steps:

  1. Liftoff the cover by using a screwdriver, remove the old battery, and Insert a new battery, matching the correct polarity. Then close the cover.

Mount using either the double-sided adhesive tape or the screws.

  1.  Mount by sticking it to a wall using the adhesive tape (provided)
    Choose an appropriate location for your push button – flat, smooth surfaces are ideal. Clean the surface with a cleaning wipe and let dry. Stick the double-faced adhesive tape on the back of the push button. Peel off the other side of the tape, and attach the push button to the wall by pressing firmly for 30 seconds.

  2. Mount with screws
    Slide to remove the push button from the mounting plate. Screw the mounting plate to the wall using the screws and plugs provided, the refit the push button. Note: Test your push button before mounting. Avoid mounting to metal structures, hidden electricity cables, and water pipes.

Installing plug-in chime

  1. Select a mounting location that is within 1000 ft range.
  2. Plug the chime unit into any regular household socket.

Plug-in chime operation

Press the button on the push button once, it sends a wireless signal to the plugin chime which will sound. The sound will stop as soon as the melody ends. For repeat sounds, press the button again, holding the button will not repeat the sound.

  1. Melody selection
    The plug-in chime provides a choice of 52 different melodies. When the chime unit is plugged in, press the chime unit select button forwards to play previous music and backward to play the next music until you hear a chime you like. Then hold the volume down button until the LED flashes.

  2. Sound volume selection
    Press the volume control repeatedly until the desired volume is achieved. 4 levels are available as a circle.

  3. Pairing your doorbell
    The push button and plug-in chime in your kit have already been paired. If for some reason pairing is lost, here’s how to pair them again: Press and hold the volume button for 4 seconds, until the LED indicator lights up. The plug-in chime enters into pairing status. Press the button on the push button within 5 seconds to get a connection. Once the LED indicator on the plug-in chime is flashing fast, the pairing is completed. Repeat this operation to get each a required push button connected with the same music or same plug-in chime unit. When the above procedure is finished, pairing is quitted automatically.

  4. The pairing of two or more pushbuttons with different music: Press and hold the volume button for 4 seconds to enter pairing status. Choose one favorite melody, then press the first push button to pair. Press the music button to change the melody, and pair it with different push buttons, one by one. When the above procedure is finished, pairing is quitted automatically.

  5. The pairing of two or more plug-in chimes with the same push button: Press and hold the volume button for 4 seconds on the first chime unit to enter pairing status. Press
    the push-button within 5 seconds to get a connection. Repeat the above operation to pair the push button with the required chime units, one by one.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible cause Solution

the correct polarity
Low battery| Fit a new battery in the push button
The receiver is loosely plugged| Replug the chime unit

| Check that the volume control is not a minimum setting
Range is reduced| Metal structures, including UPVC door frames, can reduce the range of the product| Avoid mounting the push button or chime on or near metal structures
Other equipment can cause radio interference that affects your chime.
Walls and ceilings will reduce the range.
Weak transmitter batteries will reduce range (push button]| Replace the battery every 12-18 months. In cold conditions (below 5 °C), batteries may need to be replaced more often.

DISPOSAL

Do not dispose of this product as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary. This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. This product has to be disposed of at an authorized place for recycling electrical and electronic appliances. By collecting and recycling waste, you help save natural resources, and make sure the product is disposed of in an environmentally friendly and healthy way.

We offer a warranty on our products in accordance with the legislation in effect in each country. (Proof of purchase must be presented/submitted.) We provide service and repair free of charge during the warranty period in accordance with the Danish Sale of Goods Act and on the following terms.

  1. The fault is a design or material fault (this does not include normal wear and tear and misuse).
  2. Repair has not been attempted by anyone other than Millarco’s approved service workshops
  3. No non-original parts have been used on the product

Free service covers the replacement of defective parts and man-hours. The product is to be returned to the place of purchase, and the store will send it in for service.
