INTRODUCTION
Thank you for using Cootree Bluetooth stereo headset. It makes you achieve the wonderful experience of using wireless which is your best choice while in office, driving and outdoor activities. Read this user’s guide carefully before using the headset. Read also the user’s guide for your phone, which provides important safety and maintenance information. Keep the headset and its’ accessories out of children below 6 years in age.
BLUETOOTH WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY
Bluetooth wireless technology allows you to connect compatible communication
devices without cables. The Bluetooth connection does not require that the
phone and the headset be in line of sight, but both devices should be within
10 meters (30 feet) of each other.
Connections can be subjected to interference from obstructions, such as walls
or other electronic devices. The headset is with Bluetooth 4.0 supporting
the following profiles: HSP (Headset Profile) and HFP (
Hand-Free Profile ).
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)
AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile)
Check with the manufacturers of other devices to determine their compatibility
with this device. There may be restrictions on using Bluetooth technology in
some location. Check with your local authorities or service provider.

Note: Parts of the headset are magnetic, Metallic materials may be
attracted to the headset. Do not place credit cards or other magnetic storage
media near the headset, to avoid information stored on them may be erased.
INDICATOR LIGHT INSTRUCTION
Turn ON the Bluetooth Headset: When the headset is off, press and hold
the MFB button for 4 seconds to turn on the Bluetooth Headset, the LED will be
ON and flashing every 3 seconds Turn OFF the Bluetooth Headset: When the
headset is on, press and hold the MFB button for 3 seconds to turn on the
Bluetooth Headset, the LED will be OFF.
Battery Level is Full: RED LED will be off
Battery Level is Low: RED LED will be flashing
Standby Mode: BLUE LED will be flashing
Pairing Mode: RED&BLUE LED will be Flashing Alternately
Note: You can’t set your mobile phone to search and pair with the headset
unless the headset under pairimngo de.
HOW TO PAIR THE HEADSET WITH A COMPATIBLE PHONE
- Make sure the headset is power off. If not, then press the MFB button for about 3 seconds till the pink light flash 3 times to power off.
- Press and hold the MFB button, not release, ignore the Pink light flash, until the RED and BLUE light flash alternately (Pairing mode). This press may last about 8 seconds.
- Switch on your mobile phone s’ bluetooth function, then,click to search for new bluetooth devices. Ensure the headset is still in pairing model.
- Your mobile phone will find new bluetooth devices named “Cootree 220” ; click the device to pair with it.
HOW TO PAIR COOTREE 220 WITH 2 MOBILE PHONES
Cootree 220 is capable of having two mobile phones connected to the headset at the same time. This will give you the freedom of having only headset to operate both your mobile phones.

Pair the second mobile phone
After paired Cootree 220 with the first mobile phone, turn off the Cootree -
Then press the MFB button of Cootree for 7 seconds until the Blue and Red LED flash alternately. It means the headset enter the pairing mode. Go to the second mobile phone’s Bluetooth menu and search the headset and pair with it.

After pairing the second mobile phone, the first mobile phone will be disconnected with Cootree 220, so you need to connect the first mobile phone from the phone setting, so that BOTH mobiles are connecting with the Cootree 220.
LAST NUMBER REDIAL AND THE VOICE DIALING FUNCTION ONLY WILL WORK ON THE
FIRST CONNECTED MOBILE PHONE.
VOLUME CONTROL
When talking or playing music, short press the “+” to increase the volume,
short press” ss t“o lower the volume.
FORWARD / BACKWARD
When playing music, you can press the”Forward” button to play the next song
and the “Backward” button to play the previous song.
PAUSE PLAYING
When playing music by using stereo Bluetooth headset, shortly press the MFB
key to pause playing, shortly press the MFB again to go on playing.
SETTING MUSIC
If connecting successfully, most mobile phone automatically support playing
music by using Bluetooth headset, but some mobile phone need to be set. When
playing music, please choose Bluetooth A2DP service to play music. For more
details, please refer to the User Manual of your mobile phone (Only for stereo
Bluetooth headset).
ANSWER CALLING
When calling, the headset has a “TONE” or “BUZZER ” tone, just press the MFB
key shortly to enter Talking mode.
REJECT CALLING
When calling, press the MFB key shortly for 2-3 seconds or longer and release
our hand until you hear a TONE, then it will reject calling in.
END CALLING
When in talking mode, press the MFB key shortly to end the call.
REDIAL LAST NUMBER
When in a standby mode, press the MFB key longer or shortly twice to redial
the last call.
DISCONNECT THE HEADSET FROM THE PHONE. (For example, to connect the phone to another Bluetooth device)
- Switch off the headset.
- Disconnect the headset in the Bluetooth menu of your phone.
- Move the headset more than 10 meters (30 feet) away from the phone.
You needn’t to delete the pairing with the headset to disconnect it.
CHARGERS AND BATTERIES
Make sure to use the proper DC/AC charger to charge the headset. (Require the
charger with 5V USB output.)
Warning: Use only chargers are approved. The misuse of the charger may
damage the headset.
CHARGE THE BATTERY
This device has an internal, non-removable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device as you may damage the device.
- Connect the charger cable to the headset.
- Connect the charger cable to AC / DC power (5V output). The red led turns on during charging. If charging does not start, disconnect the charger, plug it in again, and retry. Charging the battery fully may take 2-3 hours.
- When the battery is fully charged, the red led turns off and the blue indicator light turns on.
The fully charged battery supports up to 16 hours of music playing time or up to 250 hours of standby time. However, the talk and standby times may be different with different mobile phones, devices that use a Bluetooth connection, usage settings, styles and environments.
