Safety Instructions
WARNING
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
INTENDED USE.
Only operate the VonShef® 400W Juicer for its intended purpose, and within the parameters specified in this manual.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or given appropriate instruction concerning the product’s use by a person responsible for their safety.
This appliance is not intended for use by children.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS.
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:
Do not allow to be used as a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the Juicer.
If the Juicer is not functioning properly, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or immersed in liquid, do not use, contact DOMU Brands Customer Services.
Do not use the Juicer if any parts appear to be faulty, missing or damaged. Ensure all parts are securely attached before use.
CABLES AND PLUGS.
Check to ensure your electricity supply matches that shown on the rating plate. This product should only be used as rated. Preferably, the socket outlet should be protected by a Residual Current Device (RCD).
Do not use with a damaged cable or plug. If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified engineer or authorised service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
The use of an extension cable is not recommended.
Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
Keep the cable away from heated surfaces.
Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the table or countertop where it could be pulled on inadvertently by children or pets.
Do not pull the cable around sharp edges or corners.
Do not leave unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
Do not unplug by pulling on the cable. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cable.
Always unplug before performing user maintenance, connecting or disconnecting attachments, or changing accessories. Ensure the cable is stored safely to prevent hazards.
RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.
Always locate your appliance away from the edge of the worktop, on a firm, flat, heat-resistant surface with sufficient space around all sides.
The Juicer is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
The Filter Basket is very sharp. Handle with care.
Do not overload the appliance with ingredients.
Always make sure that the locking arm is fastened correctly before switching on.
If locks are not fastened securely in place, the Juicer will not function.
When using for the first time, your Juicer may give off a ‘new’ smell or vapour. This will dissipate after a few uses.
Do not use your fingers to push ingredients into the Juicer when in operation. Always use the Food Pusher supplied.
Do not insert any objects into openings or cover the appliance.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
Do not lift or move the Juicer whilst in use.
Do not leave the Juicer unattended when in use.
Do not operate continuously for periods longer than those marked on the product or indicated in the instructions.
If the appliance is in operation for periods longer than those indicated, this may cause the Juicer to overheat and automatically switch off due to the thermal safety cut out switch. Should this happen, switch off and allow the appliance to cool for 25 minutes before reusing.
Switch off after each use.
Ensure the appliance is unplugged and all moving parts have completely stopped before disassembling and cleaning.
Always allow unit to cool completely before cleaning.
Do not lubricate any parts or carry out any maintenance or repair work other than that shown in this manual, or as advised by the DOMU Brands Customer Care Helpline.
Use only as described in this manual and do not exceed maximum capacity. Use only DOMU Brands recommended attachments.

Before First Use
Before using this appliance for the first time, please ensure you complete the following steps:

Unpack the 400W Juicer and discard all packaging and labels.

Make sure that all components are supplied and check for any damage. Do not use damaged parts.

Wash all parts that will come in contact with food using warm soapy water.
CAUTION: Take extra care when cleaning the FILTER BASKET as this is very sharp. -
Practice assembling and dismantling the appliance a few times before use.

Wash the fruit or vegetables to be juiced and cut them into suitable sized pieces that will fit in the FEED TUBE.

Operation
IMPORTANT: The appliance will only function if all parts have been properly assembled and the LID has been locked in place with the LOCKING ARM.
NOTE: Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly. Cut fruits into small pieces so that they can be fitted into the FEED TUBE. Remove any pips or stones and peel.

Place the JUICE COLLECTOR onto the MOTOR UNIT and place the FILTER BASKET into the JUICER COLLECTOR.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the FILTER BASKET is fitted securely onto the DRIVE SHAFT. -
Slightly tilt the PULP CONTAINER forward so that it fits underneath the JUICE COLLECTOR lip.

Fit the LID on top of the JUICER COLLECTOR and lift the LOCKING ARM upwards to lock into position on top of the FEED TUBE & LID.

Slide the PUSHER into the FEED TUBE & LID by aligning the groove in the PUSHER with the small protrusion towards the inside of the FEED TUBE.

Connect the Juicer to a suitable mains socket and turn the SPEED DIAL to select the required speed. The appliance will then activate.

Carefully put the pre-cut pieces into the FEED TUBE and gently press them down using the PUSHER.
IMPORTANT: Ensure you place the JUICE JUG under the JUICE SPOUT before feeding your ingredients into the FEED TUBE.
WARNING! Always push ingredients down the FEED TUBE using the PUSHER. Do not, under any circumstances, use your fingers. -
Once the PULP CONTAINER or JUICE JUG is full, switch off and empty the containers before continuing with the process.
CAUTION: Do not operate for periods longer than 1 minute. Should more time be required, switch off and allow the appliance to
Recommended Juicing Speeds
NOTE: Juice extraction will be very low for leafy greens. As such, we recommend juicing any leafy greens with other fruits or vegetables.
Cleaning & Maintenance
CAUTION: Before carrying out cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the appliance from the mains.

Carefully disassemble the 400W Juicer.
NOTE: All removable components are top shelf dishwasher-safe, however hand-washing is recommended. -
Clean all components with a long handled dish brush in warm soapy water. If there is any stubborn food residue around the blades, leave to soak for several minutes.
CAUTION: Take extra care when handling the FILTER BASKET as the surface are very sharp. It is advisable to use a scrubbing brush to keep your hands away from sharp edges. -
Rinse all removable components under the tap and dry completely.

To clean the MOTOR UNIT , wipe with a slightly dampened cloth.
WARNING! Never immerse the MOTOR UNIT or cable under water to clean. -
Check the FILTER BASKET regularly for signs of damage. Do not use the appliance if the FILTER BASKET has become damaged.

Keep all components together and store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children.
