Use

UNDERSTANDING THE FUNCTIONS
Photocell (LUX Only) – Controlled by the Lux level. Photocell with Timer P1 (Timer) – light switches on depending on lux level, the light will be switched off based on the “TIME” setting between 3 mins – 8 hrs (approx.) Photocell with Timer P2 (Timer) – light switches on depending on lux level, the light will be switched off based on the “TIME” setting between 3 mins – 8 hours approx. the light will then switch on approx. 2 hours before dawn. However, on the first cycle the light will not switch on at dawn as product needs to record the first dusk till dawn cycle duration.

ADJUSTING THE DURATION TIME: The length of time that the light remains switched on after activation can be adjusted from 4±1 minutes to 8±0.5 hours. Rotating the TIME knob from (+) to (-) will reduce the duration time. Note: This knob can only used with Photocell with Timer P1/P2.
ADJUSTING THE LUX CONTROL LEVEL BY KNOB : The LUX control module has a built-in sensing device (photocell) that detects daylight and darkness. The position means that the lights can work at day and night, and the position indicates that the lights can work only at night. You can set to operate the unit at the desired brightness level by adjusting the LUX knob. Wait for the desired brightness level, and then slowly rotate the LUX control knob from to until the light is on.
Note: for best nighttime use please set the lux between 5 and 50 lux, for activation during the day, it is recommended to be above 100 lux.

THE SHIFT BUTTON

  • Press the shift button once (for less than 3 seconds) with a sharp tool to change the the functions from Photocell to Photocell with Timer P1, Photocell with Timer P1 to Photocell with Timer P2 and Photocell with Timer P2 to Photocell. When the power is switched on, the unit is set to Photocell.
  • Users can change the “Fixed LUX” mode to “Adjustable LUX” mode by pressing he shift button once (for more than 3 seconds). The LED will flash 3 times as an indication. User can adjust the LUX to the desired level using the LUX knob in the adjustable settings only.
  • The LUX setting will be set to the current environment LUX level .

USE TIPS

  1. If you need to use the product all night, choose Photocell.
  2. If you only need to use the product for a few hours, choose Photocell with Timer P1, and set a time required.
  3. If you want the light to switch on before dawn, choose Photocell with Timer P2. This function will switch the light on approx. 2 hours before dawn.LAP RD0006 -Indoor- and- Outdoor- Black -Photocell- Sensor -6

Safety

  • All fittings must be installed by a competent person in accordance with local regulations (IET wiring regulation BS7671).
  • Check the pack and make sure you have all of the parts listed.
  • Decide on the appropriate location for your product.
  • The lamp should be placed on a flat, dry and clean surface. Do not allow the lamp to be covered; keep clear of curtains and bedding, etc.
  • he product must be securely fixed to the mounting surface using the screws and wall plugs supplied. The screws and wall plugs supplied are suitable for “masonry” only. Other fixings not supplied and must be purchased.
  • Take care not to drill into any pipes or mains cables beneath the surface during mounting holes preparation.
  • Do not position or place the product near to heaters, flame or any other direct sources of heat.
  • The appliance must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
  • his product is rated IP44 (splash proof). It is suitable for use outdoors but should not be immersed in water / sited in areas likely to be heavily splashed, either from above or below, or subjected to standing water.
  • This product is suitable for positioning on surfaces which have normal flammability e.g. wood, plasterboard or masonry. However this does not include highly flammable surfaces(e.g. polystyrene or textiles).
  • Wiring diagram is for reference only. Always refer to the terminal marking for wiring. Ensure that all electrical connections are tight and that no loose strands are left out of the terminal block.
  • Never put anything on the product or hang anything on any part of this product.
  • IMPORTANT: Always switch off the mains supply during installation or maintenance. We recommend that the fuse is withdrawn or the circuit breaker switched off at the distribution board whilst work is in progress (turning off the light switch is not sufficient).
  • Connection should be via a wall switch to enable safe isolation.
  • Never use the terminal cables to bear the product’s weight.
