SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
- When using electrical appliances, basic precautions must always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury.
- Make sure the voltage of your mains supply matches the voltage requirements specified in the rating label of the appliance (220 V – 240 V).
- We recommend that the room where you intend to use the appliance is equipped with a working extractor fan or it is well ventilated.
- Use the device only for the purposes described in this instruction manual, any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and could have a detrimental effect on the lifespan of the appliance and/or the safety of the user.
- This appliance is not intended to be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- The appliance is not intended to be used by children under the age of 8. It can be used by children over the age of 8, as long as they are given continuous supervision.
- Keep the device away from the reach of children below 8 years.
- The cleaning and maintenance of the appliance should not be carried out by children under 8 without supervision.
- Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains supply before moving it, carrying out any cleaning or maintenance task, or when not in use.
- Do not operate outdoors.
- Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
- Do not twist, bend, strain, or damage the power cord in any way. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not let it touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the working surface or counter top.
- Do not use extension cords, unless advised by a qualified electrician. Using the wrong type could cause damages or injuries to the user.
- Do not use the appliance if its cord, plug, or housing is damaged, nor after it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way.
- The appliance must not be used in potentially dangerous locations, such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden, or wet atmospheres, nor near flammable materials.
- Place the fryer on an even, heat-resistant surface. Do not place the device near heat sources, places with high humidity levels, or combustible materials.
- There are no internal serviceable parts. Do not attempt to disassemble the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust openings, as it could cause an electrical shock or fire.
- Do not turn the fryer on if there is no oil in the tank.
- Do not fill the container with oil as this may cause a fire hazard.
- Do not touch the inside of the appliance while it is operating.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating. Be careful not to burn yourself.
- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the product in water or any other liquid. Do not expose the electrical connections to water.
- Always put the ingredients to be fried inside the basket, to prevent them from coming into contact with the heating elements.
- Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
- Unplug the device from the outlet when it is not in use or being cleaned. Allow it to cool down completely before attaching or removing parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not leave the fryer unattended while connected to the mains supply.
- Do not lean over the fryer while in use.
- Be careful not to touch the surfaces of the fryer as they will become hot when in use.
- Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out according to this instruction manual to make sure the appliance functions properly. Turn off and unplug the appliance before moving and cleaning it. Allow it to completely cool down before cleaning or storing it.
- Make sure the device is correctly plugged into a socket.
- Do not place the appliance against a wall. Leave at least 10 cm of free space on the back and sides and 10 cm of free space above the appliance. Do not place anything on top of the appliance.
- During operation, hot steam is released through the air outlet openings. Keep your hands and face at a safety distance from the steam and from the air outlet openings. Hot air may also come out when removing the basket from inside the device.
- Unplug the device immediately if you see black smoke coming out the device. Wait until the smoke disappears to remove the basket from the device.
- We recommend the use of gloves when touching the basket and grill.
- Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
- Place the device on a stable and level surface.
- This product is designed only for household use.
- Do not try to repair the device by yourself.
- After using the device, unplug it and disassemble it.

BEFORE USE
- Take the product out of the box.
- Check for any visible damage. If any is observed, contact as soon as possible the Technical Support Service of Cecotec for advice or reparation.
- Clean the basket and grill thoroughly with hot water, washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge.
- Clean the inside and the outside of the device with a damp cloth.
- Do not wet the heating element.
- Do not fill the device with oil or any other liquid.
- Place the device on a stable and level surface.
- Do not place the device on any surface that it is not heat-resistant.
- Place the grill in the basket properly.
OPERATION
- Place the fryer on a flat, even, heatproof surface and switch it on.
- Take the container, the basket and grill out from the device carefully. Use the handle.
- Make sure the grill is inside the basket and put all the ingredients in the basket.
Note
Do not fill the basket beyond the MAX indication mark or exceed the amount of
foodstuff indicated in the chart below as this could affect the quality of the
result. Make sure you check the preparation time and the temperature required
for the different ingredients before you start preparing them simultaneously.
Put the container back into the device.
Warning
- Do not use the container without the basket properly pitted.
- Allow the container to cool down after being used. Only hold the container by the handle. Hold the device only by the handle.
Power button
Once the basket and the grill are properly placed in the appliance, the power
button will start blinking. Press the power button to activate the device’s
default temperature 80 ºC and to set the cooking time to 30 minutes. Press the
power button again to turn the device off. Press the knob for the appliance to
start cooking. Press the knob to stop operation, and press it again to resume.
Note
While the device is operating, you can still press the power button to pause
or resume the cooking process.
Mode button
Press the Mode button to choose between the 8 most popular food programmes.
Turn the knob to select the desired programme, the programme’s icon will link
when it is set. Wait until the programme’s icon stops blinking or press the
knob for the appliance to start cooking.
Temperature button
Press the button to change the temperature. First press the button and then
turn the knob to set the desired temperature, from 80 ºC to 200 ºC.
Time button
Press the button to change the time. First press the button and then turn the
knob to set the desired time, from 1 to 30 minutes.
Preset cooking example
Make sure the grill is placed in the basket, introduce the ingredients and
place the basket in the fryer. Press the power button, press the mode button
and turn the knob to set the desired preset programme. If you want the
programme to start immediately, press the knob; if not, the fryer will start
operating after 3 seconds and the programme’s icon will stop blinking.
Manual cooking example
Make sure the grill is placed in the basket, introduce the ingredients and
place the basket in the fryer. Press the power button, press the temperature
button and turn the knob to set the desired temperature. Follow the same
procedure to set the rime and then press the knob to start cooking.
Sautéing the foods
Note
Some ingredients may require sautéing during the frying process. To sauté the
ingredients, pull the container out the appliance by the handle and shake it.
Then put it back to the device.
- When the cooking process is over, the appliance will beep 5 times and the fan will run for another 40 seconds before it turns off. Pull the container out of the device.
- Check if the ingredients are ready. If not, put the container back inside the device and set the timer to a few more minutes.
- To take the ingredients out of the appliance, place it on a heatproof surface an use tweezers. Do not move the basket to transfer food to a plate, the oil in the food is collected in the basket’s base and it could fall on the cooked food.
- Be careful not to burn yourself.
- You can use the device again after having used it.

Note
- Keep in mind that these are just indications. As ingredients differ in origin, size, shape and brand, we cannot guarantee the best setting for the ingredients that you are using.
- Add approximately 3 minutes to the preparation time indicated in the chart if you start frying while the device is still cold.
Tips
- Smaller ingredients require shorter preparation time than the larger ones.
- A larger amount of ingredients only requires a slightly longer preparation time, and a smaller amount of ingredients only requires a slightly shorter preparation time.
- Sautéing small ingredients during the frying process optimises the result and can help preventing unevenly fried ingredients.
- Add some oil to the fresh potatoes for a crispier result.
- Do not use the device to fry greasy food (such as sausages).
- Food that can be cooked in an oven can also be cooked with the device.
- The optimal amount for preparing crispy fries is 300 grams.
- Pre-made dough requires a shorter preparation time than home-made dough.
- You can also use the device to re-heat ingredients. To do so, set the temperature to 150 ºC for 10 minutes.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
- Clean the device after every use.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
- Do not use metallic tools or abrasive products to clean the basket and grill.
- Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the device’s surface.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product.
- Note: Remove the basket to let the device to cool down more quickly.
- Clean the device thoroughly with hot water, washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge.
- We recommend the use of a degreasing liquid to remove any remaining dirt.
- If dirt is stuck inside the basket and grill, we recommend filling the basket with hot water mixed with washing-up liquid, and then letting the basket and grill dry for approximately 10 minutes.
- Clean the inside of the device with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge.
- Clean the heating element with a soft cleaning brush to remove any food residue. Be careful not to damage the heating element.
Storage
- Unplug the device and let it cool down.
- Make sure all its parts are clean and dry when you store it.
- Place the cord into the cord-storing compartment and fixing it inside the cord-fixing slot.

Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimise the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY
This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual. The warranty will not cover the following situations:
- The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
- The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
- Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
