introductions of the manual carefully before using it and keep it for future

ABOUT Sigma 1
The HUMAN Sigma 1 is a multi-mode battery charger with probably the largest
display screen and the most user-friendly interaction on the market and is a
part of a series of battery chargers from HUMAN. Sigma 1 is designed for
6V/12V Lead-Acid & 12V Lithium batteries, including AGM (Absorption Glass
Mat), Lithium, Wet (Flooded), Gel, MF (Maintenance-Free), EFB (Enhanced
Flooded Battery), and Calcium batteries. It represents the latest technology
and design, charges batteries up to 32Ah and maintains all battery capacities.

Failure to follow these safety Instructions may result in ELECTRICAL SHOCK,
EXPLOSION, or FIRE, which may result in SERIOUS INJURY, DEATH, or PROPERTY
DAMAGE.
About Batteries. Before using the charger, make sure the voltage and chemistry
of the battery are included by the compatible battery range of the charger.
Accessories. Use of accessories not sold by HULKMAN may result in a risk of
fire, electric shock, or injury to users. HUMAN is not responsible for user
safety and damage when using accessories not sold by HUMAN. Personal
Precaution. Consider having someone close by to come to your aid when you work
near a lead-acid battery. Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby In case
of battery acid contact. Wear complete eye and clothing protection. Avoid
touching your eyes after handling batteries and related materials. If acid
gets in your eyes, flood them with running cold water for at least 10 minutes
and get medical attention immediately. Keep metal tools away from the battery.
Metal items might spark or short-circuit the battery and result in electric
shock, fire, or explosion. Minors & Children. Purchasing adults who agree
minors to use this product must provide the minors with correct instructions
and safety warnings, damage and loss made by failure to follow this is the
sole responsibility of the purchaser. Do not leave children unattended with
products and accessories that may carry a choking hazard to children.
Handling. Do not use a damaged product with cracks to the casing, damaged
cables, damaged plug or other risky damages. Do not expose the product to
moisture, rain, or snow. Store and operate products in dry locations. Pull by
plug rather than cable when disconnecting the product. Temperature. The
operating temperature of this product ranges from -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to
40°C), storage temperature ranges from -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C). Do not
operate and store out of temperature ranges. Never charge a frozen battery. If
the battery get excessively warm, stop using the product. Disassembly &
Cleaning. Do not disassemble the product, disassembling the product may result
in electric, fire or property loss, Any modifications to the product will void
your warranty. If a product becomes damaged and unusable, contact HUMAN. To
avoid electric shock, unplug the product from the AC outlet before attempting
cleaning. Location. Locate the product as far away from the battery as cables
permit. Do not set a battery on top of the product. Prevent battery acid from
dripping on the charger. Do not set the product directly above a battery being
charged, gases from the battery will corrode and damage the charger. Do not
operate the product in an enclosed space or where ventilation is restricted.
Explosive Atmospheres. Do not operate the product in areas with a potentially
explosive atmosphere, including fueling areas and areas containing chemicals
or particles such as grain, dust or metal powders. Medical Devices. The
product may emit electromagnetic fields, which may interfere with pacemakers,
defibrillators, or other medical devices. Consult with your physician for help
before using the product. Radio Frequency Interference. The product is
designed, tested, and found to comply with regulations governing radio
frequency emissions. Such emissions from the product may negatively affect the
operation of other electronic equipment, causing them to malfunction. FCC
Statement. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits
for a class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses,
and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures: {1) Reorient or
relocate the receiving antenna. (2) Increase the separation between the
equipment and receiver. (3) Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit
different from that to which the receiver is connected. {4) Consult the dealer
or an experienced technician for help.

| Battery
Voltage. This icon indicates the voltage of the connected battery.
| Battery Level or Repair Time. In “12V, 12V AGM, 12V Lithium, 6V, 6V
AGM, 12V Loading” mode, this icon Indicates the connected battery level. The
four bars from bottom to top indicate battery levels from 25% to 100%. In “12V
Repair” mode, these four bars from bottom to top indicate a repair time of — 1
h to 4h. Flashing bars change to constant bars when the most recent stage is
completed.
CHARGING MODES

are not sure about your battery type but it is a 12V lead-acid one.

| 6V| For 6V Wet, Gel, MF, EFB and Calcium batteries. Use this mode if you are
not sure about your battery type but it is a 6V lead-acid one.

| 12V Repair| For 12V sulfated, old, idle Lead-Acid batteries, which may
discharge quicker than new batteries of the same type under the same
conditions. With advanced pulse repair technology, Sigma 1 maximizes these
batteries. Use only when the battery voltage is higher than 2V. The typical
repair time is 4 hours.
| 12V Loading
(Force mode)| For 12V batteries. When the connected battery voltage is between
0.3V and 2V, and 12V, 12V AGM or 12V Lithium mode is selected, this icon
starts flashing automatically. Press the “Confirm Button” to enter a 5-minute
force charge.
ERROR INDICATIONS
Icon | Condition & Solution |
---|---|
Temperature. The internal temperature of the charger is too high or too low, |
resulting in the output being cut off. Ensure that the ambient temperature is
within the operating temperature with good ventilation. The charger will
automatically resume charging when the temperature returns to normal operating
levels.
| Voltage of the connected battery is too high for the selected mode. Check
the battery and change the mode to an applicable one.
| Fill Reverse Polarity. Reverse the clamps/eyelets.
| Battery. The connected battery will not hold a charge. Take it to a battery
professional for further checking.
BUTTON OPERATION

Step 3 | Select mode. Sigma 1 returns to the last charge mode every time it |
turns on. This memory function is used for Standby, 12V, 12V AGM, 12V Lithium,
6V, 6V AGM modes.

charging.(Note 12V Loading Mode can only be activated by pressing “Confirm”).

3-YEAR HASSLE-FREE WARRANTY
This HULKMAN product carries a 3-year hassle-free warranty against defects in
material and workmanship under normal use starting from the date of purchase.
The manufacturer or distributor shall provide the service of repairing and
replacing the defective unit covered by this warranty. In order to keep the
warranty valid, this product must have been handled as described in this
manual. Damage made by accident, misuse, abuse or negligence is out of
warranty.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
The hassle-free warranty described herein is your sole remedy. To the extent
permitted by law, the manufacturer and distributor disclaim all other implied
or express warranties, including, but not limited to, all warranties of
merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose.
