IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Do not use this appliance in a different manner than described in this manual.
Remove all packaging and marketing materials from the appliance before you use it for the first time.
Make sure that the connecting voltage corresponds to the values on the appliance type label. Use grounded wall outlets with a guard pin only.
The unit reaches high temperatures during operation and remains hot for some time after being turned off. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use only the handle and buttons, as there is a risk of being burned.
Do not clean, store or cover the appliance with items until it is completely cold.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when turned on, or plugged into the electrical socket.
Never carry the appliance during operation or while hot. Do not carry the appliance by the power cord.
Prior to plugging in or unplugging the appliance from the wall outlet, make sure the switch is OFF.
Never pull the supply cable when disconnecting the appliance from the electrical socket; pull the plug instead.
Do not allow children or irresponsible people to handle the appliance. Use the appliance out of the reach of these people.
Handicapped people, people with impaired sensation, mental capabilities, or people not familiar with the appliance operation are only allowed to use it when supervised by responsible knowledgeable people.
Be especially careful when there are children near the appliance.
Do not allow the appliance to be used as a toy.
Do not use any other accessories except those recommended by the manufacturer.
Prior to cleaning and after using the appliance, turn it off, disconnect it from the electrical socket, and let it cool.
Do not let the power cord hang loosely over the edge of a table. Make sure the power cord does not touch hot surfaces.
The appliance may only be installed on a stable surface resistant to high temperature, away from other heat sources, such as radiators, ovens, etc. Protect it against direct sunlight and humidity.
Pour water into the kettle before connecting it to the wall outlet.
Do not replenish water when the appliance is on its base!
Prior to filling the appliance with water, make sure its bottom is dry. Wipe off any remaining droplets from the bottom prior to putting the appliance on its base!
The kettle may only be used for heating water up to the maximum indicated level. If the water exceeds the recommended maximum level, hot water may splash out. SCALDING HAZARD!
Prior to switching the appliance on, make sure the lid is closed properly. To avoid scalding, do not open the lid during heating.
We do not recommend using the kettle for heating liquids other than water.
Do not switch the unit on without water. If an empty kettle is turned on, the safety fuse will deactivate it automatically.
Let the kettle cool, then fi ll it with cold water and you may use it again.
Extra care should be taken while opening the lid when refilling the hot kettle with water – RISK OF SCALDING!
Take precautions to avoid scalding with hot water while handling the kettle. Always hold the kettle by the handle, as the vessel can be hot and may burn you.
Pour the hot water slowly – excessive tilting may cause the water to flow through the lid – RISK OF SCALDING!
Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive substances to clean the appliance.
Do not use the unit if it does not operate properly, or if it has been dropped, damaged or exposed to any liquids. Have the appliance tested and repaired by an authorized service centre.
Never use the appliance if the supply cable or plug has been damaged; have the defect repaired immediately by an authorized service centre.
The appliance is not designed for outdoor use.
The appliance is intended for household use only, not for commercial use.
Do not immerse the supply cable, the plug, or the appliance itself in water or any other liquid.
Never repair the appliance yourself. Instead, contact an authorized service centre for repair.
This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or mental impairments or by inexperienced persons if they are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use of the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. This appliance may be cleaned by children 8 years of age and older if they are properly supervised. Keep this appliance and the power cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years of age.

Failure to follow the manufacturer‘s instructions may lead to refusal of warranty repair.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

CAUTION
Prior to first use, we recommend boiling the maximum volume of water in the kettle at least 3 times, then pouring it out. The kettle is then ready for operation.
The kettle may only be used with the supplied base.
If any of the buttons is pressed or the kettle is put on the stand connected to the mains, a conforming sound signal occurs.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the kettle from the base (6), press the button for opening the lid (4), open the lid (1), and fill the appliance with cold water within the permitted maximum only. If the water level in the kettle is under the recommended minimum, the kettle will keep overheating and turning off prematurely.
Note: Make sure that the lid (1) is closed properly, otherwise the kettle can not turn off automatically
Place the kettle on the base (6); electric contacts will get connected automatically. Thanks to the central connector design, the kettle can turn around 360° and be put on the base from any side.
Connect the base to the mains.
Turn the kettle on by pressing the switch ON/OFF (7).
The kettle automatically boils water at 10After reaching the boiling point, you hear an audible signal and the kettle switches off automatically. By pressing the ON/OFF button you can stop the heating process early.
Selecting a programme: set the required heating temperature by pressing the + / – (8) buttons. You can select from the following programmed: 60°C, 70°C, 80°C, 90°C.
Note: It is not a sign of a defect when a small amount of water droplets appear on the kettle base (7). It is a small amount of condensed steam, which deactivates the kettle thermostat.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning!
Prior to each cleaning operation disconnect the lead-in cable of the appliance from el. socket!
Prior to start any handling operation, make sure that the appliance is cooled down!
Use only a wet rag for cleaning surface of the appliance, do not use any cleansers or hard things which could damage the surface!
Never clean the appliance under running water, never flush it and never immerse the appliance into water!

Scale removal
During common use water impurities are deposited. Use commercially available agents for scale removal
(observe manufacturer’s instructions).
Note: Remove the deposits regularly, once a week as a rule – periodicity depends on water hardness and on frequency of kettle use. The deposits reduce efficiency and service life of the appliance materially.

SERVICING
Any extensive maintenance or repair that requires access to the inner parts of the product must be performed by an expert service centre. The kettle starts to heat up to the set temperature and the display shows the corresponding mode.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Packaging materials and obsolete appliances should be recycled.
The transport box may be disposed of as sorted waste.
Polyethylene bags shall be handed over for recycling.
