    • Plug the unit into a wall socket and switch the socket on.
    • Rotate the 3 speed switch (4) to the desired speed 0-OFF, 1-LOW, 2-MEDIUM, 3-HIGH.
    • To turn the unit off rotate the switch (4) to the OFF position 0.

  7. Tilt Adjustment
CAUTION! Ensure both the front and rear grill are assembled prior to making any adjustments
CAUTION! Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged ,and the blades are stationary prior to making any adjustments.
    • To adjust the fan tilt: hole the motor then loosen the bolt under the motor and tilt the fan to the desired position; re-tighten the bolt under the motor FIRMLY.
    • Plug the unit back in and turn on to the desired speed.

  8. Adjusting The Oscillation
CAUTION! Prior to making any adjustments ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged, and the blades are stationary.

  9. Activating The Oscillation
    • Align the oscillation bar (6) and locking knob (7) with the outer screw hole in the oscillation cam block (5) (Fig 6a).
    • Tighten the locking knob (7) in a clockwise position.

  11.  Height Adjustment
CAUTION! Ensure both the front and rear grill are assembled prior to making any adjustments.
CAUTION! Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged, and the blades are stationary prior to making any adjustments.
    • To adjust the fan height: loosen the locking ring on the pipe (8), this will allow you to move the head up or down to the desired height
    • Once you have the fan at the desired height tighten the locking ring ensuring it is firmly tightened prior to using.
    • Plug the unit back in and turn on to the desired speed.

WALL FAN

  1. Mounting The Wall Fan To The Wall
    • CAUTION: The fan must be used in the upright position and right fastened to the wall.
    • Determine the desired location of the wall fan and ensure that your wall structure is capable of handling the additional load of the mounted product.
    • Mark the three screw holes with a pencil by holding the hanging bracket (9) to the wall.
    • Note: Ensure the 2 holes on the hanging bracket (9) holes are horizontal prior to drilling.
    • Drill the holes at the 3 pencil marks to suit the anchor being used (not supplied)
    • Mount the hanging bracket (9) securely on the wall with 3 fixing anchors (not supplied) as per the fastener manufactures instructions.
    • Hang the motor assembly onto the fan fixing bar (8) then fix the fan fixing bar (8) onto the hanging bracket (9) (fig 1a, 1b,1c)

  2. Assembling The Rear Safety Grill To The Fan Motor
    • Align the rear safety grill (2) to the fan motor housing so that the fan grill securing hole is at the bottom of the fan and align the 4 screw holes (fig 2a).
    • Firmly tighten all of the four screws (fig 2b).

  3. Assembling The Fan Blade To The Fan Motor
    • Rotate the fan motor shaft until the rebated flat area on the shaft is in the 12 o’clock position.
    • Locate the lock screw in the fan blade coupling; while aligning the screw and motor shaft rebated flat area push the fan blade (3) all the way onto the shaft and firmly tighten the grub screw by rotating in a clockwire direction (fig 3a), (fig 3b).
    4. Assembling The Front Safety Grill To The Fan Motor

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. If an electrical fault is detected or the power supply cord is damaged, the device must sent to a licenced electrician for repair.
  2. Guard against electric shock, avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces eg. pipes, air con, refrigerators etc. Never operate the device in rain or wet conditions, or if the tool has been exposed to rain or wet conditions.
  3. Power source; ensure that the power source to be used conforms to the power requirements specified on the name plate. Ensure the power supply plug matches the outlet. Never modify the plug or use adaptors.
  4. Do not abuse the power cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the device. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
  5. Extension cord; when using an extension cord ensure sufficient thickness and rated capacity.
  6. The ITM fan is suitable for cooling in factories, warehouses, workshops and industrial work areas. It is not designed for domestic use.

OPERATING PROCEDURES

  1. Oscillating control; The oscillating structure is shown in the drawing. When the oscilate arm is secured to the centre bolt hole, the fan will not oscillate. When oscilate arm is moved to the off-centre bolt hole, the fan will oscillate 90 degrees. Always ensure the power is turned off before making any oscillating adjustments
  2. Fan Direction; To change the direction of the fan, turn off the power, loosen the direction changing bolt, adjust the direction of the fan head and tighten the bolt. It is not necessary to move the base of the fan.
  3. Upward and downward tilt adjustment; Turn off the power, hold the head of the fan, loosen the connecting bolt and stopping bolt, adjust the fan to satisfactory position and tighten up the two bolts. 19mm Spanner required ( not supplied )
  4. Head Height Adjustment (pedestal type only); Turn off the power. Loosen the locking bolt, adjust the fan head to ideal position and then tighten up the locking bolt. In order to avoid the fan head falling down suddenly, the fan head must be held when the locking bolt is being loosened.
  5. Installation of the wall fan base; The angle arm of the fan can be installed facing upwards or downwards. In both cases, the longer of the two locking bolts must be inserted through the small hole at the end of the angle arm in order to avoid falling off.
  6. Speed Adjustment; The fan incorporates 3 speed settings which are controlled by the switch on the back of the fan head. “0” represents stop. “1” is the lowest blade speed setting, “3” is the highest.

Maintenance

  1. Grease change; After the fan is operated over 2000 hours (or at least once a year), the grease in the gearbox and bearing should be changed.
  2. Care; If the fan is not used for extended periods, it should be cleaned and put into a dry place.
