DANGER: The power cord must be electrically grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the National

Keep the electrical supply cord and the fuel supply hose away from any heated surface(s).
Use only a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) protected circuit.
Never remove the grounding plug or use with an adapter of 2 prongs.
Use only extension cords with a 3 prong grounding plug, rated for the power of the equipment, and approved for outdoor use with a W-A marking.
WARNING: The supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of damage, and the appliance is not to be used if the cord is damaged.

FOOD SAFETY FOR YOUR SAFETY

Food safety is an important part of enjoying the outdoor cooking experience. To keep food safe from harmful bacteria, follow these four basic steps:
CLEAN: Wash hands, utensils, and surfaces with hot soapy water before and after handling raw meat and poultry.
SEPARATE: Separate raw meats and poultry from ready-to-eat foods to avoid cross-contamination. Use clean platter and utensils when removing cooked foods from appliances.
COOK: Cook meat and poultry thoroughly to kill bacteria. Use a thermometer to ensure proper internal food temperatures.
CHILL: Refrigerate prepared foods and leftovers promptly.

HOW TO TELL IF VMEAT IS COOKED THOROUGHLY
Meat and poultry cooked with this appliance often brown very fast on the outside.
Use a meat thermometer to be sure food has reached a safe internal temperature and cut into food to check for visual signs of doneness.
When reheating takeout foods
or fully cooked meats like hot dogs, cook to 165° F/74°C , or until steaming hot.

ELECTRIC GRIDDLE SAFETY

SAFETY TIPS

  • Do not move the appliance when in use. Allow the cooking vessel to cool to 115°F (45 °C) before moving or storing.
  • Use long-handled, non-metal utensils and oven mitts to protect against burns and splatters.
  • Do not allow the electric components to come in contact with water.
  • Wash griddle surface before initial use.

TURNING GRIDDLE OFF

When not in use, turn OFF appliance by rotating the appliance control knobs to the OFF position and unplugging the unit.

PROTECTING THE NON-STICK SURFACE

  • Do not cut directly on the griddle surface.
  • Only use plastic, rubber, wood, and/or nyon cooking utensils on the cooking surface.
  • Avoid using anything that may scratch the surface, including metal scouring pads and abrasive cleaners.
  • Do not leave water on the griddle surface for more than two hours.
  • Do not wash the griddle top in the dishwasher.

FOR DAILY CLEANING:

STEP 01 Be sure that grease cup is in place.
STEP 02 Wipe off surface with a moist, soapy cloth or paper towel.
STEP 03 Wash off soap and dry.

FOR DEEP CLEANING:
STEP 01 Be sure that grease cup is in place.
STEP 02 Turn heat to low.
STEP 03 While wearing rubber gloves, use one (1) tablespoon of dishwashing detergent per one (1) cup of hot water and wipe down the griddle surface with a cloth or non-metal cleaning pad.
STEP 04 Turn off griddle, and once cool, wipe-off surface with a moist, soapy cloth or paper towel.
STEP 05 Wash off soap and dry.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read all instructions thoroughly before proceeding. Make sure all the plastic packing material is removed before assembling.
Find a large, clean area to assemble your unit. Please refer to the parts list and assembly diagrams as necessary.
STEP 01 Be sure that the four (4) caster wheels are locked, and turn each caster nut to attach them to the four (4) cart legs.

STEP 02

  1. Use four (4) self-tapping screws to attach the two (2) power cord brackets to the back right leg.
  2. Slide the two (2) back legs into place, and use (4) M6x12 screws to attach the legs and the leg bracket to the leg posts.
  3. For the front-rear leg, set three (3) M6 nuts in the table top leg post, slide the leg into place, and use (2) M6x12 screws to secure.
  4. For the front-rear leg, set two (2) M6 nuts in the table top leg post, slide the leg into place, and use (2) M6x12 screws to secure.

TOOLS NEEDED : Phillips head screwdriver & Adjustable wrench

STEP 03

  1. Use eight (8) M6x12 screws to attach the bottom shelf to the legs.
  2. Use two (2) step bolts to attach the side shelf to the left legs.

STEP 04 Use four (4) M6x12 screws to attach the front brace to the front legs.

WARNING: This appliance will be hot during and after use. While cooking, place unit on heat-resistant and flame-resistant surfaces to avoid damage and injury.

CAUTION: Two people are recommended for the assembly of this product.

WARNING: Do not leave the hood closed for more than 15 minutes while cooking.

CAUTION:

  • Maximum weight on the side shelf is 10 lbs.
  • The side shelf is a high-heat area.

STEP 05 Before installing the griddle top on the griddle body, remove the warning label on the griddle body.
STEP 06 Hang the grease cup in the slots on the back of the griddle body.

STEP 07 Place the griddle top on the griddle body. Slide the griddle top forward so that the front feet lock into the front brackets, and the back feet rest against the back brackets. BLACKSTONE-8003-22-Inch-Electric-Griddle-

STEP 08 Place the hood on the griddle top. Insert the hood hinges into the griddle top brackets.

STEP 09 Insert the power cord plug into the socket on the griddle body.

STEP 10 With the help of another person, set the cart on its feet. Set the two (2) shelf bins in the bottom shelf.

NAVIGATING THE DISPLAY

  1. Press the control knob button to turn the griddle on.
  2. Turn the control knob until the Set Temp displays the desired temperature.
  3. Press the control knob to set the temperature.
  4. When the Zone Temp dash indicators reach the orange area, the griddle has reached the set temperature.
  5. Press and hold the control knob button to turn the griddle off.
  6. Note: Do not store the unit until the Hot Surface indicator has turned off.

North Atlantic Imports, the manufacturer, will warranty for one year from the purchase all parts, workmanship, and finishes. It will be the manufacturer’s option as to whether to repair or replace any of the above items. All warran- ties are limited to the original purchaser only. This warranty does not cover any liability on the art of North Atlantic Imports, its agents or employees, for any indirect or consequential damages for breach of warranty. The purchaser must follow the manufacturer’s usage instructions. Under no circumstances is the manufacturer responsible for damages from the failure to operate the cooking station properly. Its the responsibility of the purchaser to establish the warranty period by verifying the original purchase date with the original sales receipt.

North Atlantic Imports LLC’s obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing, free of charge, any part or parts that may prove, to the satisfaction of North Atlantic Imports LLC, to be defective under normal home use and service within the following stated periods of time from the date of purchase; for one year from purchase, all parts, finish, and workmanship. Should any failure to conform to this warranty become apparent during applicable warranty periods stated above, the original purchaser must notify North Atlantic Imports LLC of breach of warranty within the applicable warranty period.

RECIPES FoR BREAKFAST

CROQUE MADAME Recipe by Desiree ‘BlackstoneBetty’ Dukes
STEP 01 Slice loaf of bread into 1/2-1 inch thick slices and begin assembling sandwiches by spreading Dijon mustard on the inside of each slice of bread and layer muenster cheese, ham, and gruyere cheese, ham, baby swiss cheese. You want your cheese against the bread as well as in the center, the cheese is the glue to holding our sandwich together. Set aside.
STEP 02 Heat a small pot directly on the Blackstone surface or on the Blackstone side burner using low heat. Add the butter to slowly melt then whisk in the flour. Continue whisking until golden brown and fragrant and then slowly whisk in the milk a 1/4 cup at a time. Sauce will thicken as it cooks. Season with nutmeg and black pepper.
STEP 03 On low to medium-low heat spread butter over Blackstone surface and add sandwiches to toast up until golden brown on both sides. Low and slow is key so that the cheeses inside heat and melt through.
STEP 04 Cook sunny side up eggs just before the sandwiches are done.
STEP 05 Assemble sandwiches by plating. Top each sandwich with béchamel sauce, grated gruyere cheese, and a sunny side-up egg.
STEP 06 Enjoy with a fork and knife!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf crusty sourdough bread
  • 1 wedge Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 1 lb ham (tavern, black forest, or your favorite)
  • 1/4 lb baby Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 lb Muenster cheese
  • Dijon mustard
  • Butter
  • 6 eggs

Béchamel Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Black pepper

RECIPES FoR BREAKFAST

STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM PANCAKES

STEP 01 In a mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
STEP 02 In a separate bowl, mix egg yolk, milk, ricotta, butter, vanilla. Slowly, add dry ingredients and mix on low until combined.
STEP 03 Whisk egg white until stiff peaks form, and gently fold into pancake mix. Then gently fold in strawberry bits.
STEP 04 Set to the side while you prepare your filling and syrup.

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 12 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tbs lemon juice

Strawberry Syrup

  • 1 pint of strawberries cut into to chunks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbs Lemon Juice

STEP 05 In a stand-up mixer, whisk together cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice. Turn to low speed and add in whipped cream. Place in the refrigerator until your syrup is done.
STEP 06 In a saucepan add chopped strawberries, sugar, lemon juice and simmer until juices have slightly thickened. About 20-25 mins.
STEP 07 Preheat Griddle to medium. Melt a tablespoon of butter on griddle. Pour 1/4 cup of pancake mix onto griddle and let cook until bubbles start to form and edges are slightly browned. About 3-4 minutes. Flip and cook another 3 minutes.
STEP 08 Once all of your pancakes are cooked, grab a plate and start layering your pancakes. Begin with a pancake, then spread some of the cream cheese filling, and top with some of the strawberry chunks. Repeat steps until you have a nice stack. Top with remaining strawberry syrup and a dollop of whipped cream.

Pancake Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 5 strawberries chopped into bits
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for finishing)

RECIPES FoR LUNCH & DINNER

REUBEN SANDWICH
STEP 01 Preheat griddle to medium heat.
STEP 02 Butter one side of all bread slices. Place four of the bread slices on the griddle top, butter side down. Place 1 slice of Swiss cheese, 2 slices of the corned beef, 1/4 cup of the saurkraut and then the second slice of Swiss cheese on top.
STEP 03 On the four remaining bread slices, spread Russian dressing on the non-buttered side and place dressing side down on the Swiss cheese.
STEP 04 Griddle the sandwiches for about three minutes, then flip. Turn off heat and cook for an additional two minutes. Sandwiches are done when cheese is melted, and both sides of the sandwich are golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 slices of rye bread
  • 8 slices of deli-sliced corned beef
  • 8 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup of sauerkraut, drained
  • Russian dressing (or Thousand Island, for sweeter taste)+

RECIPES FoR LUNCH & DINNER

OKLAHOMA FRIED ONION BURGER
STEP 01 Pre-heat your Blackstone to high heat.
STEP 02 Make four 2 oz loosely packed meatballs with the ground beef and place on the hot griddle. Add a pinch of salt over each and using your Blackstone Burger Press, smash them very thin.
STEP 03 Add 2-3 ounces of thinly sliced onion over each patty.
STEP 04 Cook for 60-90 seconds and flip so that the onions are under the patty. Add 1 slice of American cheese to each patty and then place the top bun over the cheese and then the bottom bun on top of the top bun. Cook for another 60 seconds.
STEP 05 To plate, remove the bottom bun from the top, using your spatula, lift the burger with top bun and add to the bottom bun.
STEP 06 Serve hot with a few dill pickle chips.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb of 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 Vidalia (or sweet) onion (sliced paper-thin)
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1/4 cup of dill pickle chips
  • Salt
