Close supervision is necessary when the percolator is in use or when coffee is hot. Do not allow children to use coffee maker or use near children.

Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the percolator.

Do not operate this percolator when the power cord or plug damaged or if the appliance malfunctions, is dropped or has been damaged in any manner. Return it to the Authorized Service Center for examination, repair, electric or mechanical adjustment.

The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to person.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table and counter, or touch hot surface.

Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the switch to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.

THIS APPLIANCE IS NOT A WATER BOILER. -
Never plug on the percolator without water inside its pot, or the appliance will cutoff automatically.
Element inside may burn out. -
Do not add water beyond the max. cups level.

A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used: -
The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;

If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounded type 3-wire cord; and

The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

The cord to this appliance should be plugged into a 120 V AC electrical outlet only.

Use water only in this appliance. Do not put any other liquids or food products in this appliance. Do not mix or add anything to the water placed in this appliance, except as instructed in the User Maintenance Instructions to clean the appliance.

DO NOT attempt to move an appliance containing hot liquids. Allow appliance to cool completely before moving.

Keep appliance at least 4 inches away from walls or other objects during operation. Do not place any objects on top of appliance while it is operating. Place the appliance on a surface that is resistant to heat.

It is recommended to let this appliance cool down for at least 5 minutes between brewing cycles. Wait at least 5 minutes before refilling the water reservoir. Adding water before the appliance cools down could result in personal injury due to steam exposure.

NOTES ON THE PLUG
The appliance has a grounded 3-prong plug. Connect to a properly grounded

NOTES ON THE CORD
The provided short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should
be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping
over a longer cord.
PLASTICIZER WARNING
CAUTION: To prevent plasticizers from migrating from the finish of the counter
top or table top or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats
between the appliance and the finish of the counter top or table top. Failure
to do so may cause the finish to darken; permanent blemishes may occur or
stains can appear.
ELECTRIC POWER
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance
may not operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical
circuit from other appliances.
COFFEE YIELD
12 Cup Percolator yields 12 (5 oz.) cups
8 Cup Percolator yields 8 (5 oz.) cups
4 Cup Percolator yields 4 (5 oz.) cups
NOTE: A 5-oz.cup is the American industry standard and is used by most Coffee Maker manufacturers. To fill your favorite over-sized mug, fill Percolator with enough water for 3 to 4 cups (15 to 20 ounces).

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Read all instructions thoroughly.
- Take the percolator and all accessories out of the packing carefully.
- Wash all parts of the percolator.
- Brew 2 cycles of water without coffee, following the procedure outlined in the Brewing instructions of this Instruction Manual.
NOTE: Do not immerse the percolator in any liquid.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
-
Remove the Coffee Filter, Filter Cover and the Water Pipe.
-
Fill the percolator with the desired amount of water according to the measurement markings inside the body. NOTE: Do not use hot water. Do not add water beyond the MAX level.

Run cold water over the Coffee Filter.
-
Add desired amount of coffee according to the measurement markings inside the coffee filter.
To help keep small coffee grounds from sifting through the holes in the Coffee Filter, be certain to use a grind designed for percolator coffee, or use a COARSE GRIND.
Finer grinds may sift through the holes of coffee fi.lter.
For stronger or milder coffee, adjust amount of ground coffee to suit your taste.
NOTE: Do not add too much coffee, the top level of coffee should be lower than the MAX line of the coffee fi.lter or the coffee may overflow during heating. Place the fi.lter cover on the fi.lter. -
Place the fi.lter with fi.lter cover on the water pipe.

Holding the top part of the water pipe, place the water pipe and fi.lter inside the percolator so bottom of the water pipe fi.ts into heating cup.

Close the lid, press down to lock it.
-
Connect the power cord inlet into the socket of the percolator, and then insert the plug into standard household 120 volt AC wall outlet.

Turn On the Power switch. The brew cycle starts within seconds.
Warning: Be certain the percolating process has stopped completely before removing lid. -
Once the brewing cycle has completed, the blue indicator light will turn On and the percolator will switch to keep warm function automatically to keep the coffee hot.

Unplug the percolator after using or when you do not want to use the keep warm function.
Normally, the ready-to-serve temperature will be around 194°F / 90°C, and then
the unit will switch to keep warm function. When you unplug the power cord
from the base of the percolator to serve the coffee, the temperature of the
coffee will decrease, and if the temperature decreases by more than 68° F /
20°C and then you plug back in the power cord, the percolator will start
brewing coffee again. On the other hand, if the coffee temperature decreases
by less than 68°F / 20°C, the percolator will stay on keep warm function when
you plug back in the power cord.
Caution: do not touch the body of the percolator, as it will be hot.
CARE & CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
- Always make sure Percolator is unplugged.
- NOTE: DO NOT IMMERSE THE MAIN BODY, CONTROL BOX, POWER CORD OR PLUG IN ANY LIQUID.
- Clean the internal surface of the percolator after each using.
- Make sure that the percolator has been switched Off and cooled down before cleaning.
- Always keep the percolator base dry.
- Clean the percolator shell with a damp cloth.
- Clean the filter cover, the coffee filter, the water pipe with warm water.
- NOTE: coffee filter, filter cover and water pipe are top-rack dishwasher safe.
- Pour some clean water into the pot, clean the inside surface and the heating cup gently with a soft brush.
- To clean the surface of the control box unplug the power cord prior to cleaning, and use a dry cloth to wipe it off.
- NOTE: Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
DESCALING INSTRUCTIONS
Special cleaning of your Percolator is recommended at least twice a year,
depending on frequency of use and quality of water used in the unit. If water
in your area is especially hard, the following cleaning procedure should be
performed more often, since minerals in water can detract from the flavor of
the coffee and possibly lengthen brew time.
The following cleaning procedure should be performed:
- Fill the percolator with 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts cold water up to the 12-cup/8-cup/4-cup level, depending on the model that you have.
- Close the lid, press down to lock it.
- Connect the power cord inlet into the socket of the percolator, and then insert the plug into appropriate outlet.
- Switch On the Power switch.
- When the blue indicator light turns on, turn off and unplug the unit.
- Discard water.
- Follow the same procedure as steps 1 to 5 using clean water only and repeat three times or until water is clean and fresh and no residual vinegar odor or flavor remains.
- Unplug the Coffee Maker when not in use.
- Dry parts thoroughly. Wipe the Percolator’s exterior with a dry cloth.
STORING INSTRUCTIONS
- Unplug unit and allow to cool.
- Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance. Do not put any stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.
- Store the filter with the unit.
- Store the Percolator in a cool, dry place.
- Never store unit while it is still plugged in.
