Technical data
Charger
- Input ………………………………………12 V d.c.; 5.8 A
- Output ……………………………………. 21 V d.c., 3 A
Caution!
The charging unit is allowed to be used only for the lithium-ion batteries of the Power-X-Change series!
Operation
1. Pull the battery pack (a) out of the handle, pressing the push lock button
(b) as you do so.
2. Insert the power plug (3) into your vehicle’s 12 V socket. Check that it
is fi rm and secure. The green LED will begin to blink.

4. In section 7 „Charger indicator“ you will fi nd a table with an explanation
of the LED indicator on the charger.
If the battery fails to charge, please check the following:
Is there enough voltage at the vehicle’s 12 V socket?
- It must lie between 11.5 V and 16 V.
- At voltages below 11.5 V the rechargeable battery will no longer be charged in order to protect the vehicle’s battery.
- At voltages below 10.5 V the charger will be switched off completely in order to protect the vehicle’s battery from further discharge.
Caution!
- In both cases take immediate steps to increase the voltage of the vehicle’s battery, e.g. by starting up the vehicle’s engine.
Is there good contact at the charging contacts on the battery charger?
- If the battery still fails to charge, send the charging unit
- the rechargeable battery to our customer service center.

When shipping or disposing of batteries and cordless tools, always ensure that
they are packed individually in plastic bags to prevent short circuits and
fires. To ensure that the battery pack provides long service, you should take
care to recharge it promptly. You must recharge the battery pack when you
notice that the performance of the device drops. Never allow the battery pack
to become fully discharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.
Mounting the charging unit on a wall
The charging unit can also be mounted on a wall. The correct dimensions for drilling holes in the wall can be found on the back of the charging unit.
Spacing distances
- ≥ 10 cm from the wall (right + left)
