Lighting the grill
The burner has the following ignition procedure

  • Ignition with control gas control (main burner or main burner with side burner or main burner with side burner and side burner).
  • When all the switches on the gas grill are in the „Off“ position, turn the gas cylinder valve to the „On“ position.
  • To generate a spark, press and hold the throttle control knob (A) for 3-5 seconds to allow the gas to flow, then turn counterclockwise to „HIGH“ (B).
  • The spark can then pass to the burner tube (C). You will hear a „snap“ noise from the igniter and you will see an orange flame coming out of the burner tube on the left side of the burner (D).
  • After the „snap“ sound, keep the gas regulator pressed for two seconds so that the gas can flow completely through the burner tube (E) and ignition is guaranteed.
  • If the burner is ignited, adjacent burners will also be ignited when the grill switch is set to „HIGH“.
  •  When set to „HIGH“, the burner flame should be approximately 12 – 20 mm long and the orange flame portion should be minimal.
  • Turn the throttle control knob fully counterclockwise for the minimum setting.
  • If you have difficulty igniting the grill while following the above steps, contact Customer Service or your local gas dealer.
  • If automatic ignition cannot be used, remove the grill grille and heat distributor (heating plate) and turn the switch counterclockwise to 90° to ignite the appliance with a grill lighter placed 5 mm from the burner hole.
  • Then insert the heat distributor and grill grille back into the grill with protective gloves and wear fire and heat resistant gloves.

Note: If the burner still does not ignite, turn the gas control knob to the „Off“ position and wait two minutes for the excess gas to evaporate before attempting to ignite the grill again.KLARSTEIN-10033510-TOMAHAWK-3.0-Gas-
