SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Make sure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate corresponds to the voltage of the socket.
- Never leave the unit unattended during use.
- The appliance is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
- This device may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities and/or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been instructed in the safe use of the device by a person responsible for them and understand the dangers involved.
- The cleaning and maintenance of the device may only be carried out by children aged 8 years and over if they are supervised to do so.
- Make sure that the unit and its power cord are out of the reach of children under the age of 8.
- Check the power cord regularly for damage. Never use the unit if the power cord or the unit itself is damaged.
- Only use the product in a household and for its intended purpose.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Never place the appliance in the dishwasher.
- Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service or a similarly qualified person.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
- Never use the unit in combination with an external timer or remote control.
- Never use the unit outdoors or in a dry environment.
- Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer as this may result in hazards to the user and damage to the unit.
- Never pull the power cord. Make sure that the power cord does not get caught anywhere. Do not wrap the power cord around the product or bend it.
- Place the product on a table or a flat surface.
- Make sure the product has cooled down before cleaning or storing.
- Make sure that the power cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
- When in use, never allow the product to come into contact with flammable materials such as curtains, clothing, etc., as this may result in a fire hazard.
- Use extreme caution when using this product, as overheated oil, for example, can cause a fire.
- Make sure that you observe the minimum distances specified in the operating instructions when using the appliance under an extractor hood. It is advisable to double these minimum distances.
- Use the appliance only for food preparation.
- Immediately unplug the appliance from the wall outlet if it is damaged and contact your service representative or electrician.
- The surfaces of the appliance become very hot during use.
- The appliance is not intended for commercial use, but only for domestic and similar environments. This includes kitchens in offices, farms, hotels, motels and facilities offering Bed & Breakfasts.
- Never let children play with packaging materials (such as plastic bags).
- Please remove pans and pots when lifting the hotplate with the handles.
Note: The unit should not be used for more than one hour at a time.
INSTALLATION
- Before using the hotplates, remove all packing materials first.
- Install the handles before use.
COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION
- Make sure all controls are in the „Off“ position („MIN“ pointing up). Plug the power plug of the unit into the wall outlet.
- The invisible protective layer on the unit must be removed before use. To do this, set the maximum level and leave the unit switched on for about 4 minutes. Ensure that the room is well ventilated as this will produce smoke. Switch the unit off and allow it to cool down completely. The unit is ready for use.
- Only use pans and pots with a flat surface that allows good contact with the hotplate. Ideally, the size of the bottom of the pot should match the size of the hotplate.
- Adjust the temperature. The hotplates have different levels. Use the lower steps (MIN 4) for cooking and gentle heating and use the upper steps (5 MAX) for cooking.
- When the appliance is switched off, residual heat remains. This can be used to keep food warm for a short time.
- After use, turn the switch to „MIN“ and unplug the appliance.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the wall outlet and allow it to cool down.
- Rub the hot plates with a damp cloth.
- Do not use scouring pads or steel wool as this may damage the surface of the appliance.
