SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION: Risk of burns! The surfaces of the appliance can become very hot during use and can still be hot even after switching off. Do not touch them. Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning and maintaining.

  • Read all instructions carefully before using.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  • Children shall not play with the appliance.

  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  • This appliance is intended to be used in household only. Do not use it outdoors.

  • Do not use the appliance if it is damaged. If the power cord or plug is damaged, have it replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service center, or a similarly qualified person.

  • Only connect the appliance to earthed sockets which correspond to the voltage of the appliance.

  • Unplug the appliance, when it is not in use and before cleaning.

  • Do not disassemble the unit and do not attempt to repair it yourself. Repairs
    may only be carried out by qualified personnel. Improper repairs can result in considerable hazards for the user.

  • Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts. Only such parts will guarantee that the safety requirements are fulfilled. Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Do not place the appliance near the oven and keep it away from heat sources. Otherwise, the appliance may be affected.

  • Do not hang the power cord over hot surfaces or edges such as those on countertops.

  • Do not cover the water outlet. Otherwise, it may cause scald if boiled water flow out.

  • When using the hot water dispenser, use the handles or oven gloves. Do not touch or tip the appliance to avoid burns.

CAUTION
Risk of electric shock! Do not handle the appliance, the mains plug and the mains cable with wet hands. The appliance should not be immersed in water or other liquids when cleaning after use.

OPERATION

Before Use

  • Do not place the water heater near walls, furniture or other electrical appliances. Expelled steam and heat can deform or discolour walls, furniture and appliances.
  • Place the water heater only on stable, level surfaces. On a soft, flexible surface, the appliance may tip over and you may scalding.

Notes on Operation

Note: If the power cord is damaged, do not use the water heater again and have it replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service center, or a similarly qualified person.

  • The water heater may only be used for hot water preparation. Bubbles may form when heating tea, milk or wine. This increases the risk of scalding, jamming the rising pipe and burning or damaging the tank.
  • Do not press the automatic water outlet button when the water is boiling or within the first 5 minutes of cooking. Otherwise, you may scalding yourself with the hot water leaking or no water leaking out.
  • Do not move the appliance while dispensing or pouring out water. You may get scalded by the hot water that is spilled out.
  • Add water immediately if the water level in the tank drops below the refill mark. If there is too little water in the tank, it may burn, damage the water heater or break out in a fire.
  • Do not open the lid and do not pour out water while the appliance is heating up. Spilled out hot water may cause scalding.
  • When moving the appliance, do not touch the button to open the lid. If the lid opens suddenly, it may cause scalding or injury.
  • Wait until the housing has cooled down before cleaning the water heater. When pouring out the remaining water, be careful not to get scalded.

Initial use of the hot water dispenser

  • Drain all the remaining water that is in the water tank after the first boil and pour it away.
  • An unpleasant odour may occur when the appliance is used for the first time. If you have used the appliance several times, the smell will gradually decrease.

Pour water into the inner pot.

| Close the lid.

•  Make sure the water level is below the MAX mark. Otherwise, water may come out from the water outlet.

•  Refill the water if the water level is below the REFILL line shown on the gauge.

| •  Water easily overflows when boiling. Make sure the lid is well closed.

Insert the plug into the power outlet..| Reboil.
•  Make sure there are no foreign objects on power cord before connect power supply, such as nails, pins.| •  Press the “Reboil” button to start reboil water and indicator on.

Water dispense.

| Refill water.

•  Press the “Safety Child Lock” button to unlock the water dispense function. After the indicator is on, press and hold the dispense button. The safety lock will auto restart if no operation for 10 seconds.

•  Beware water flow easily increases or splashes when dispensing if water level decreases.

| •  Water easily overflows when boiling. Make sure the lid is well closed.

Boil water

  • Do not open the lid while boiling.
  • Do not refill water while boiling.
  • Do not cover the steam port.
  • Beware of hot steam to avoid scalding.

  1. 1. Insert the mains plug into the socket. The 1 icon will appear on the LED display indicating that the appliance is in standby mode.
  2. Press the “Reboil” button to start boiling water. When the water has been heated to 100 °C, the holding state indicator flashes for 60 seconds. When the indicator turns off, the appliance is in warm mode.
  3. Press the “Reboil” button for 5 seconds, the appliance switches to standby mode.

Keep warm temperature setting

Press the “Temp Select“ button to set the keep warm temperature. You can make the following selection: 85 °C→  75 °C →  65 °C → 55 °C →  45 °C → Temp decline→95 °C. The default keep warm temperature is 85 °C. If you select “Temp decline“, the display will show the “–“ icon and the temperature will drop.KLARSTEIN-10033754-Hot-Water-Dispenser-13

Dispense and Safety Lock

  • Press the “Safety Child Lock“ button to unlock water dispense function.
  • After the “Safety Child Lock“ indicator is deactivated, press and hold the “Dispense“ button to dispense water.
  • If you do not press the button, the water dispense stops and the safety lock is automatically activated if no operation is made for 10 seconds.
  • Press and hold the “Safety Child Lock“ button for 5 seconds, the “Safety Child Lock“ button and the “Dispense“ button will be light up (flashing 3 times) that means the safety lock function has been deactivated. It can happen at any time that no water is dispensed because there is too little water in the water tank.

To save energy, the hot water dispenser can be switched to standby mode:

  • Press and hold the “Reboil“ button for 5 seconds to enter standby mode and press the “Dispense“ button.

Turn on/off and Reboil Function

To turn off the appliance:

  • Press and hold the “Reboil“ button for 5 seconds to turn off the hot water dispenser. The power indicator will keep flashing on the screen.
  • Press the “Reboil” button, the power indicator light will go out and the appliance resumes operation.KLARSTEIN-10033754-Hot-Water-Dispenser-18

To enter standby mode / operating mode:

  •  Press and hold the “Reboil“ button for 5 seconds to enter standby mode.
  • Press the “Reboil” button again to return to the operating mode.

To use the reboil function:

  • Press the “Reboil“ button to start boiling the water to 100 °C.
  • Press the “Reboil“ button to activate the reboil function, press again to cancel the reboil function.

Fast Cooling

  • Press and hold the “Purified Water“ button 5 seconds. The flashing on the display screen.
  • When the set temperature is reached, the  indicator will light up on the display screen.

Tap Water Mode / Purified Water Mode

Tap water mode:

  • By default, the appliance runs in tap water mode when it starts operation.
  • After the water has been boiled to 100 °C, the chlorine content can also be reduced.

Switch on purified water mode:

  • Press the “Purified Water“ button to start the purified water mode, the display will light up.
  • The default setting for the keep warm temperature is 45 °C. This allows you to keep the water warm at the pre-set temperature without boiling the water to 100 °C.

No Water Check

  • When the “No water“ indicator lights up, it indicates that water should be filled and that the appliance is terminating the heating mode.
  • Prevent dry burning without water! When you have filled up enough water, the heating mode will automatically start.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the housing

  • Wipe the body with a dry soft cloth. Never use a wet cloth for cleaning.
  • To remove heavy dirt, wipe the appliance with a cloth wrung tightly.
  • To avoid deformation or cracking, do not use benzine, thinner or liquid cleaners.
  • Chemical products can damage the exterior of the appliance.
  • Do not clean the hot water dispenser in the dishwasher.

Clean inner pot (water tank)

  • Wipe the inner pot with a sponge.
  • Do not use cleaning agents, stainless steel brushes or nylon brushes.
  • The deposit of minerals in the water leads to limescale deposits on the surface of the inner pot, which are not harmful to health. Once every 2-3 months, remove limescale from the inner pot. For example, use citric acid, which is available in retail stores (drugstore or supermarket). Follow exactly the instructions on the packaging or the enclosed operating instructions for citric acid.

Change seal ring

  • If the seal ring has become damaged or hard, steam may escape from the cover when the appliance is in use. Replace the old seal ring with a new one.KLARSTEIN-10033754-Hot-Water-Dispenser-23
  • The plastic inside the lid may deform and change colour after some time. Replace the lid with a new one every 1-2 years.

Remove the top lid: Press the top lid lock and bring it up.

Preparation for storage

  1. Unplug the appliance.
  2. Open the hot water dispenser and take out the inner pot (water tank).
  3. Drain out all of the water in inner pot.

Install water receiver

  • Put the grid on the water receiver and push the water receiver into the support from above.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Cause Possible Solution
White or glittery powder inside the water There is limescale in the water.

Clean the appliance with citric acid.
The tap water may contain to much minerals which stick on the inner pot surface as limescale.| Clean the appliance with citric acid.
Bad smell occurs after boiling| Chlorine in tap water may cause smell after boiling.| Press the “Reboil“ button to reboil.
The machine oil on the heating element

may cause smell in first few use.

If the air pot is used on plastic cloth, smell of plastic may transfer into water.
Dispense function does not work just after boiling| Check if the filter is

clogged.

| Clean the filter with a

The dispense function may be affected by bubbles inside the pump.| Please open and close the lid once then try again.
